If you could do a lecture on chriality on a torus geometry considering it with Quarternions and Hamiltonian Mechanics I would be grateful. It could be made into a set of videos. *simple harmonic motion can be described as the projection along a diameter of uniform circular motion(U.C.M)*.As the reference point in U.C.M completes one revolution the S.H.M complete one cycle as well,so time period and frequency of both U.C.M and S.H.M points are same.Angular frequency is simply the speed of reference point in U.C.M (that is angular speed).Now this is called *angular* frequency of S.H.M to signify it's connection with the U.C.M.
