The species is classified as excellent, strong, and worth buying and acquiring
Just got mine it is great.
Thank you very much..... it is a very nice device. I'm eagerly awaiting my delivery.. in blue ;-) ...Greetings from Germany 🙂
@@dohnjoe342 Of course :-) I ordered from eBay Germany
Good video from a DSP2 owner. Honestly, a lot of us struggle with the many settings in the firmware and would really appreciate a basic tutorial of all the SDR features.
Do you know what the main advantages the dsp 2 has over the V5? I'm trying to decide wich one to get..
great review kabayan, bilhin ko na ata to haha. 73!
good for monitoring HF lalo na when you go on field day.
thank you for the review and the update on version 5. I am eager to get one for myself but sadly we don't have it available in the market here in India. 73
You can get it from the Deepelec's official online store www.aliexpress.com/item/1005005526896540.html?gps-id=pcStoreLeaderboard&scm=1007.22922.271278.0&scm_id=1007.22922.271278.0&scm-url=1007.22922.271278.0&pvid=3be49418-955e-4d43-a6e6-8f5311060417&_t=gps-id:pcStoreLeaderboard,scm-url:1007.22922.271278.0,pvid:3be49418-955e-4d43-a6e6-8f5311060417,tpp_buckets:668%232846%238111%231996&pdp_npi=3%40dis%21PHP%2110877.24%219571.97%21%21%21%21%21%402103250716893875312682755e22ed%2112000033420818080%21rec%21PH%21&spm=a2g0o.store_pc_home.smartLeaderboard_2005417805311.1005005526896540
In Visual with FFT or wherever how do uou set back to no colour fill ?
After much study....I just ordered the version 5 through Aliexpress.
You will surely enjoy it compared to other versions.
Why did you choose this one over the dsp 2 ? I'm trying to make up my mind...
I cannot find the Equalizer user 1, user 2 settings. Have these been removed and only presets are available?
👍 Why did you have SQL (Squelch) activated on the Ham HF bands? I saw it flashing. 73
I’m looking to buy one of these for my father as his first experience with SDR would you recommend this radio for a beginner?
@@stephensteele2844 yes, highly recommended for a beginner. To see more of this, go to www.deepelec.com
Thanks for your excellent video.....Question please: Can you touch an active frequency on the display, with the new version, and the radio tunes that frequency OR must you manual tune to each active frequency with the tuning knob? Thanks, Michael KZ5MSE
Thank you for the kind words. To begin, the V5 does not require tuning of the RF signal it receives. However, the right modulation parameters must be changed depending on the setup of the person transmitting. To improve the clarity and quality of the audio output, other settings must be adjusted. Second, while on active frequencies, you can touch the screen to alter the frequency or its settings.
@N7SIX Thanks for your quick reply... So, as I understand: You can "rough tune" by touching an active frequency on the waterfall with a stylus pen, then fine tune with the tuning knob, plus further enhance the signal by selecting filters, etc?
@@michaeledmonds3027 maybe you misunderstood me, you do not need to fine tune the frequency.
Great looking radio. I am wondering how it compares to the Belka DX for sensitivity. Anyway to compare? Thanks VE7DCY
Sorry, I don't have Belka DX.
Is there a video to calibrate the frequency po?
Great video. Pls, does the red LED turn off or green when the battery is fully charged?
That is correct.
A antena que utilizou foi essa diamond sg-7900, estava em qual altura ?
A altura em que estava localizada era de aproximadamente 15 pés. (English) The height at which it was located was approximately 15 feet.
@@N7SIX Ok, aproximadamente 4,6 metros.
Sabe qual site adquirir a versão Russa ?
It seems like this stuff HAS to be converging with big brand HT’s. Either china is going to do it and we’ll get this level of sampling and visual display… or Icom, Yaesu etc will do it. But when I see this and think about the waterfall in the ID-52, it’s like, “Please, man. Just don’t even try.” This $200 receiver crushes it.
Is it able to decode digital modes like FT8, FT4, JT65, RTTY ... ?
Yes, can decode digital mode.
Once you get past the unresponsive touch screen and the terrible encoder sensitivity this is a great radio with excellent signal sensitivity.
Does this V5 model have the occasional EMI (RF interference) from the LCD screen that the earlier V3 model has?
I have not experienced any interference with the V5.
@@N7SIX Thank you... that is great to hear! My V3 experiences QRM from the screen every 60 kHz or so. That unavoidable interference is why the designer built in a "tap" of the power button to turn off the display, making reception on those frequencies clearer without the interference.
@@4nradio782 oh, are you talking about the touch screen interference? That is normal only with HF but beyong 50MHz there should not be any problem. That is why, they made this EMI functionality and disabling the screen to lessen the annoying interference. On my V5, it is not an issue during operation on HF. I don't touch the screen hard, I touch it softly.
@@N7SIX Yes, I meant the touch screen interference on HF. It's good to learn there is no problem like this on HF with the V5. In your videos I watched closely when you were on HF or medium wave and I did not see any such interference. 👍
Is software compatible with Apple iPad ? Tx.
Looks a great receiver I'm off to cebu in two weeks with my wife she has not seen her family in cleavers for four years hope to do some dxing on my sdrplay RSPdx 73
Would be an improvement to have the frequency and volume turning knobs on the front face rather than the side for use mobile.
we prefer on the side.
Like I said, analog type knobs are impractical for a mobile station.
I can see the natural ease of the side knob though for shack use.
Perhaps a digital tuning interface in addition on the touchscreen then?
Can Firmware v1.10D be "not" fully activated? Did you have to do something to "fully activate" it? Maybe I missed it in your vid.
All V5 with 1.10d released by Deepelec are all fully activated. Only those from other China clones are not activated and you need to purchase activation key.
Ahhh! OK. Thanx.
😢çok güzel ya
Very fine ! but wich is better ? Malachite or Malahit ? 😀
When you are content or dissatisfied with a given brand, it is up to you to decide.
@@N7SIX That's right ! But what I mean is one is the clone of the other ? 😀
@@aureliusprimus Malachite is a clone of Malahit. It has a Malachite hardware but with Malahit firmware.
@@N7SIX So Malahit is the original one ?
Yes@@aureliusprimus
Toby mně zajímalo, který dement vymyslel ovládací knoflíky přehodit proti všem zvyklostem!?
it says bad seller has many problems how can I buy safely
You've just seen something and are probably looking for the negative side. However, the store has received more positive feedback. It is up to you to decide how to balance the 97.3% positive ratings with the only 2.2% negative reviews. No store is perfect, but I am confident that Deepelec is addressing every problem voiced about their goods.
@@N7SIX when I read the seller's license at that moment it said that out of 5 sold, 4 were without money back and other problems..... better not to buy from such a seller..... beware people
@3mins 12 seconds in the splash screen say "MALAHITEAM" When it should say MALACHITE ? Also why does it say "Malahit" DSP Reciever ? Seems like a lot of typo's ? Is this even legit or fake ?
MalahiTeam is a Russian company that manufactures genuine Malahit SDR hardware and Malahit firmware. Malachite SDRs are Chinese-made devices that employ genuine Malahit firmware and are later modified.
here is a clue for you. you are not a native English speaker - so prepare a text for yourself before you begin the recording. your listeners will appreciate a more fluid presentation.
thanks
Single antenna connections do not buy
Why is this the case? This V5 device does not require two antenna connectors because it can be used with any 50 Ohms or Hi-Z antenna on the HF, VHF, and UHF bands with a single antenna connector.
