Customized a set of CNC aluminum casing for the Malachite DSP V5 receiver, built-in 4Ω 5W full-range speakers, 3.7V 5000mAh large-capacity lithium battery; single antenna port design, 50 ohm and high-impedance input mode is auto (or manual) switched, and the built-in RF preamplifier and 0-30dB program-controlled RF attenuator; equipped with a 20mm diameter large dial encoder, make this SDR radio receiver more convenient and practical.
Product Description:
Malachite receivers are built according to the SDR software-defined radio principle. Based on this relatively general hardware platform, different communication functions are realized by loading different software.
1. Frequency range: 10kHz-250MHz, 400MHz-2GHz
2. Spectrum width: 160kHz, 80kHz, 40kHz
3. Modulation type: AM, SSB, DSB, CW, NFM, WFM (stereo RDS support)
4. Sensitivity: 0.3uV up to 1GHz
5. Dynamic range: 82dB
6. Antenna interface:
Single antenna port design, standard SMA female gold-plated connector, automatic switching between 50 ohm and high impedance input mode, built-in RF preamplifier and 0-30dB program-controlled RF attenuator.
7. Battery capacity:
Built-in 3.7V 5000mAh ultra-large capacity lithium battery, the battery life is about 12 hours at normal volume.
8. Software DSP functions:
variable filter width, adaptive squelch (NR), threshold squelch, noise canceller (NB), automatic gain control (AGC), automatic notch filter (ANF), RDS support Stereo FM, analog stereo, equalizer.
9. Hardware features:
STM32H743 ARM CPU at 480MHz, MSi001 multi-band and multi-mode tuner, 3.5-inch 480x320 LCD display, capacitive touch screen, two mechanical encoders.
10. USB connection to personal computer capable of transmitting CAT, IQ and audio.
11. CNC aluminum shell design, anodized, high-end atmosphere.

I have had mine a week now and the reception with the telescopic antenna is awesome. Picks up 40-80m band things my Tecsun880 cant even hear.
@@Den-ml7zg Yes, the sensitivity of the receiver is also excellent. I am very happy with the device. You have to get used to operating the encoders, they react with a delay. But it makes me happy every day. I would buy it again. :-) Dirk from Germany.

Hallo, I have the model "Malachite DSP SDR V5" with firmware 1.10d.
Unfortunately, the built-in clock is several minutes later per day.
Is there a way to correct this clock?
Unfortunately, there is no corresponding option in the HARD menu as with the Malahit DSP2 in the RADIO menu item "time correct" (for clock speed correction).
It would be nice if someone could help me.

Looking to get one. How is the reception and sensitivity on the shortwave bands. Can you pick up signals from other countries etc.
yes, I can picked-up some asian countries using only the provided scanner antenna.
Great video I am running this now.Oh One thing that must be done correct me if I am wrong Settings in SDR radio HARD menu must set IQ swap Enabled? correct?
I have to check that, I did not change that settings.

Thanks for the info., there are many different models I am confused, do you know about the firmware compatibility ? as far as I can see the latest DSP 2 has different user interface, 'hard' changed to 'radio', what else do you know about the models difference, thanks !
Avoid confusion; regardless of the hardware you purchase, adhere to the installed firmware. Malahit Firmwares require an activation code specific to the hardware for proper functioning.

Well darn have an issue my SDR keeps REBOOTING itself after a few minutes.Odd tried two dif USB cables same issue.
Teardown the sdr and remove the battery for 5 seconds and put it back. Then, try to turn on the sdr.
@@N7SIX WOW scared to do that. I had the battery shipped LOOSE and I stuck some velco in there. But I scared to take the knobs off, Never had this resetting till running HDSDR
The rebooting ISSUE seems to be when I am changing or tuning thur the freq. Odd
So far, I have no issues with my V5.
@@N7SIX I put two thick pieces of velco INSIDE to stop BATTERY from MOVING. A sthey shipped it NOT secured.Wonder might it be over heating when running the HDSDR software? Doubt it get hot?
@@mrtrido I am not sure of the heat but my V5 have no issues connected with HDSDR even for hours.

@@N7SIXis there any advantage at all of a traditional short wave radio over this ? I was looking at the tecsun pl 330 and the xhdata d 808 .

Wish the display could be turned off, battery life must be a killer.
Yes, quick press the power button will turn the screen off. Longer operation with the 5000mAh.
Battery life is pretty damn good with screen on.
