this worked last time I tried this many years ago, but not anymore and I'm not sure why. followed the install instructions to the letter. I can launch it thru the sdk if I install it there but again, not sure why.
ok yea as it turns out there is another steam sourcemods folder in the c drive I dont ever use and I do have to install it there instead. so thats more the fault of winblows than anything.
@@tomekkrakowski2539 Are you using the "upcoming" beta of the Source SDK 2013 Singleplayer? If not, please follow these steps. - Right-click on Source SDK Base 2013 Singleplayer. - Go to the "Betas" tab. - Change "Select the beta you would opt into" option to "upcoming" - Restart Steam and launch the mod. I also recommend that you verify the integrity of your game's files. This might be the cause of your crashes, as you have invalid/corrupt game files. - Right-click on Source SDK Base 2013 Singleplayer. - Go to the "Local Files" tab. - Click "Verify Integrity of Tool cache..." - Wait until game cache inspection is completed.
Hey I installed this mod, I have half life source installed but its giving me the 'scripts/surfaceproperties_hl1.txt' (referenced manifest file 'scripts/surfaceproperties_manifest.txt')
@Apollo It is possible that you have not correctly installed the Source SDK 2013 patch. Please follow these instructions: 1. Ensure you have the Source SDK Base 2013 Singleplayer installed and you have enrolled in the beta. I recommend as well that you validate the integrity of the game files. 2. Ensure you have downloaded and installed the most recent release of the mod. Here is a link: www.moddb.com/mods/heart-of-evil-source-port/downloads/heart-of-evil-source-update-101008 3. Download the Source SDK 2013 patch for the mod. Here is a link: www.moddb.com/mods/heart-of-evil-source-port/downloads/heart-of-evil-source-patch-sdk-2013-20 4. Overwrite every file in the mod folder with the files in the patch. .i.e: The "bin" folder from the patch should overwrite the "bin" folder in the mod's directory. .i.e: The file "gameinfo.txt" from the patch should overwrite the file "gameinfo.txt" in the mod's directory. 5. Restart Steam and launch Heart of Evil: Source. If you have any other question, please let me know.
@Czekoloko Sweet Do you mean your camera *turns* left and right? Is it possible that you binded A and D to Turn Left / Turn Right instead of *Strafe Left* / *Strafe Right* ?
For me it just isn't showing up in my steam, I'm using the newest version without the patch, I tried both putting it in the half life folder and sourcemods, am I doing something wrong?
Will be cool to see HD models of enemies and weapons like in Napalm Edition (or simple Remod) and zoom in ironsights.
