While he might be 100% right, the representatives on this committee are bound by rules of decorum in parliamentary procedure. This isn’t the same as a normal conversation or presentation. Much like in a court of law, the participants are held to a different standard in how they speak and behave. I admire his gumption, but he actually creates a distraction from his point rather than for it.

The ACA sucks.......I lost my insurance , had insurance forced on me, at almost 3 times the cost, and at less then half the coverage. As a VA entitled veteran, it was not health care I was forced to pay for, it was a government mandated rip off.

If Republicans didn’t attach killing the ACA’s individual mandates to their horrendous “Tax Cut and Jobs Act” the ACA’s costs would be significantly lower for both Employers and Employees. If Oklahoman Republicans voted for Medicaid expansion, more of Oklahomans WOULD have healthcare.
“By not expanding Medicaid, Oklahoma is missing out on $8.6 billion in federal funding between 2013 and 2022. And Oklahoma residents are paying federal tax dollars that are being used to pay for Medicaid expansion in other states.

If this committee is so thin-skinned that they get "offended" over the word "sucks" then they don't need to be in public office. While I think Mr. Mullin needs to use more mature language (vs using the language of a child) I do think his point was clear. The so-called "Affordable" Care Act is anything but affordable. Yes, his employees were right to complain about it and say "it sucks."
