For those who don’t know: the pills are used to make the girl go sleep heavily, which the “dad” everyday r*pes her in her sleep. In the game when you decide to still take the antipode after the dad doesn’t come back for a long time, she says she feels sick, it means she became pregnant and nausea is something common while being pregnant. Pretty dark game.
Edit: In the actual game (not the ROBLOX one) she actually says “my tummy is big and round” which as you know, means there’s a baby inside of her. The reason I’m guessing it’s not in the ROBLOX one is probably because it’s a moderated sentence/word

A lot of people are saying the second ending (the one ryan got) is not as disturbing. Because it isn't supposed to be. She got out, she "found out" the truth, in a sense. The first ending is worse of course because she doesn't get free, she's kept in the basement. Both are disturbing in the fact that this stuff happens in reality
She also ends up pregnant as well. Truly horrific...
Whats even more worse is that this situation has already happened in real life. Theres a crime case called "Elizabeth Fritzl" where she was trapped and locked in a basement by her own father, and well, just like in the game, the father does the exact thing to his daughter.

Games like this don't need anything else to show, everyone now knows about the dark side of humans and as soon as we find out that a game is trying to show that even without visuals is terrifying. Everyone would be either scared or shocked, that's what makes a good horror game. But damn, it's very dark.

For those who don't know, My Eyes Deceive was heavily based on a real life case. If you want to hear about the case, there is a documentary about it (look up the Josef Fritzl case and you should be able to find it), but be warned that the real case is 1000x more messed up than how it's portrayed in the game. The game is only scratching the surface of what the victim went through. Josef Fritzl is a horrendous criminal, to say the very least.
I just read the full case online and my god it is HORRIFYING. Really hope the daughter is living well and getting all the help and support she needs

Common misconception, but it wasn't. The author of the original game, the one the Roblox version is based off of, said it was a coincidence.
It is sad to see how innocent Ryan seemed at the beginning but slowly throughout the video you can see his mind slowly start to understand and realize how TRULY messed up this whole situation is. It is really sad 😔

I had suspicions about the father on the second day, and it sucks that it seems to be the case based on the evidence. It’s horrible that this happens to real children.
It's a true story, sadlly. Josef Fritzl was the father. Kept his daughter prisoner under the house for decades and decades. Made her have his children. He literally built the entire place FOR her long before he tricked her to go inside and he locked her in. The layout in the game is precisely how the layout of the real life prison was. Josef told his wife that the daughter ran away. The 'home' beneath the family home was soundproof. When she'd have her dads babies, he took a few and convinced his wife they'd been abandoned babies, so they raised a few of them. Most were kept prisoner with Josef's daughter though. Never saw outside, didn't know a thing about the outside world aside from what their mom would tell them and describe. Thank god they got rescued. Josef got life in prison.

You can look these names up yourself if you don't believe it. Or even just googles "Kidnapped victims trapped in basement cases" to be met with a plethora of true cases. Ofc be mindful since all of them are very disturbing. This sadly happens far too many times than we'd like to believe and it's absolutely horrifying.

There are a lot of horror games on the site but this one takes the cake. Its very clever at hiding the 'actual' meaning behind it and its concept is really unique. I got ending 2 but I don't think its as messed up as ending 1.

I like how they chose to 'show don't tell' aspects of what was happening, even without jumpscares the atmosphere built tension in how uncomfortable it made the player/audience.

i’ve been a fan of horror since the early days of silent hill. i love outlast, ,visage, other varyingly intense shit. none of that has ever truly upset me. but when i got to 27:46, even having already figured out the story, this made my chest and stomach hurt. i lost my wife to suicide in 2020 after she was a victim of her dad in childhood, and she just couldn’t bear the pain and trauma anymore.
this shit is more common than anyone wants to think. including lack of care and follow through from law enforcement.
fascinating game concept though, i really do have to fully commend the creator for handling the topic in such a calculated and unique way.

Honestly, I guessed the plot of the game before the first day even ended. It seemed too obvious that the father was lying the whole time and insisting on taking the pills to keep you down there. It ended up being just about as disturbing as I expected.
The implications of the story are so disgusting yet I supposed you can't sugarcoat everything in this world. These things do happen in real life after all, as horrific as it is. Hats off to the devs for not cowering away from such topics and spreading some awareness in a sense about this type of thing.
In the end, a simple concept can often express the most serious message.
Edit: Also, for God sake I just thought about something. Was the breathing we heard in the dreams the sound of the father as he was- ..like...um..

This is probably the best horror game that roblox has to offer to date. I took the route in which you trust the father to continue taking the pills, and that ending alone had me feeling so emotional, and now this ending really closes off the fact that this game is honestly the most intelligently planned out and in depth masterpiece of a game.

Bro I realized something that made this even worse. When the “dad” tells the girl to not answer any unfamiliar voices, it’s to prevent any cops from finding her. He makes a password to stop her from talking unless it’s said. Damn, that’s messed up.
Edit: I may be over analyzing here, but when the dad tells a story about him narrowly escaping a “monster” he is referring to the police men that almost busted him. So every time the dad mentions a monster, he is referring to the police.
Edit 2: Ok last one I swear. Remember when the dad gives The kid a journal? That’s probably to keep tabs on what she’s thinking and if she’s close to seeing through his mirage. God knows what would have happen if the dad checked the journal before the cops rang the door bell….

When you water the plant the girl says "keep growing little one" the dad gives you an apple, and apple sometimes represents temptation and or S3X. The free runner mini game has you moving a square from multiple red ones. Pink probably is the "egg" and the red ones are sperm cells trying to enter into the core.

Ryan, you should really play The Severance. It is a psychological horror game and it has two endings which I recommend you also get it to understand the whole lore. Rogurt also played it before.

what makes this hits for me was when the entire time ryan keep saying how the 'nightmares' where disturbing him cuz it remind him of someone breathing down your neck, and the ending just piece it all together, now that part of the game or the 'nightmare' makes me so sick. that is hella upsetting... but also brilliant game detail, god wtf
The game almost had the same energy as Presentable Liberty (if you dont know what that is, i highly recommend cheecking it out). Trapped in a world of your own, you barely know what's going on in the outside world. In the same vein, they are games that can only be truly experienced once, but they leave such an everlasting impact on our views of society and what we define as a "human".
It's even more fucked up knowing that the "Doppelgangers" he was talking about was the police if they ever broke in his house, asking her to not make a sound so they don't find her.

the sad reality of roblox is that there are actually way better horror games on the platform which creators have out so much effort into, only for it to be forgotten and lost in the pile of games with little to no visitors as the stupid boring ‘experience’ games take over.

I dont know if this game is the most horrifying and disturbing game i have ever seen, or if its a masterpiece, because no game has made me feel such a strong mix of emotions like this one, the worst part about this game that makes it so scary is that this could be happening to someone at any point in time, and you wouldn't know until its to late, its a truly dark world out there.
Ahaha, I knew essentially what the ending was going to be as soon as the father was adament about the kid taking the pills. This reminds me so much of the movie REPO! The Genetic Opera, where there is a similar plot line with the main character and her father (though admittedly, not with as dark of implications as this one has!). You should give that film a watch if you haven't seen it before.
The fact that this and the original game are extremely similar to a real situation is genuinely the most vile thing I've ever had the misfortune of reading about. I might have to bleach my eyes out after this shit.

The fact this game was on Roblox before taken down and put onto Itchio is insane! I do think putting it on Roblox was an awful idea, but holy shit… The fact it was a ROBLOX GAME baffles me…
Sadly that was the good ending. The other ending shows us waking up with 'day 147' and doing the usual, once we go up to check on dad the screen goes black and we ask 'Papa, why do I feel nauseous every morning?' and then the game ends
once you find out the ending, all the seemingly innocuous things suddenly seem off putting. The story the dad told her? Why wouldn’t it be a nice story to help her sleep, instead of a story about how horrifying the outside world is so she’s never tempted to leave. The antidote making her sleepy, despite having barely done anything. Even the game, I interpreted it as the dot being us, and the dots we’re running from being our dad.
Oh my god the real story behind this game and the other ending that Ryan didn't see. It's not on roblox anymore, meaning it probably got removed for the meaning and its contents..
it got removed because the original creator asked for them to take it down because it was getting way more attention than the original

Im happy that Ryan is enjoying roblox it seriously is like the next frontier for horror games and im seriously excited for what comes in the future with this content.

i used to play roblox, stopped playing it a lot recently and wow... i love games like this with an actual interesting plot and stuff with a really erie feeling behind it
