Very interesting direction that Casio took with this latest line in the GA series. I like the big easy-to-press buttons, and the carbon construction of the case is new and different. I love the fact that a G-Shock easily accepts any aftermarket strap of the right size. Another welcomed improvement over previous GA series watches is that the LCD screens are now illuminated with the light button. My only minor complaint would be regarding the skeleton hands which I have never liked in any watch, Casio or other brands, because it reduces legibility. Thanks for reviewing this new addition to the enormous G-Shock line, Bob. Sometimes it seems that the squares (5000 series) are the only G-Shocks that ever get reviewed on RUclips!
I didn't have a huge problem reading the skeleton hands but the LCD's were really hard to read. I think this is leaning more toward the fashion side vs a more practical tool watch. Every bit as rugged as one I'm sure though. Hopefully we see more with the interchangeable straps from Gshock in the future. Thanks Lee.
Well, my blue one arrived today. I also ordered the same aftermarket strap after seeing yours, so thanks for that. I can reaffirm re the neg lcd. Unless you have good light and perfect vision, it makes the secondary functions a chore to use. Fortunately, I don't really use them other than the countdown timer which I have preset to 5 mins for boiling an egg :) Other than that, the watch is a real looker and wears much better than other G-Shocks - and very comfy. Just wish Casio would stop using these neg displays........:(
Overall I really like the watch other than the displays too. There a little on the small side which doesn't help. I'm like you though and don't often use some of the functions. Enjoy it :)
Bought it yesterday in Las Vegas. Macy’s has blue and yellow at 25% off. I didn’t want to pass on that deal. I do really like it. I personally like this shade of blue. I’m sure I’ll get the army green later also. It also is a real nice weight.
Bob I think it's absolutely beautiful the design the color aluminum buttons I just think they did a great job hats off the Casio I should say kudos yes beautiful watch very very nice at a great price point everyone can afford that thank you for sharing this great video 😎👍🖐️😘
Hello Bob I wish they would make more of these blue color watches I think they're beautiful looking a little better made if they can come up with a better more rugged and with altimeter and barometer and all that building solar at be an awesome watch the color stands out
Bought the blue last night to take to Maui, Hawaii from Macys. I plan on doing some hiking, snorkeling, surfing, etc. and did not want to wear my Girard Perregaux Ferrari watch for my excursions. The watch seems to have the toughness I'm looking for without being obnoxiously large or having a cumbersome band. I like the different time zones as I have a house in Costa Rica and can toggle up and back between Eastern time and Costa Rican time (as soon as I figure out how to do it!) The time zone change will also come in handy while in Hawaii from Florida!
Nice! Perfect choice for what you're using it for. Definitely handy to track different time zones and once you get the hang of it it's pretty easy to use. Have fun in Hawaii!!
Bought one here in Canada from Amazon.UK The watch it’s AMAZING, same color “1A2” with a Barton Watch Band (Canvas Navy Blue 24mm) Sleek watch, Really Comfortable to wear.
Sir which strap match to casio g shock ga 2000 in yellow colour please please please please please please please please reply sir big fan of yours sir please.😔😔😔😔😔
I personally like the 5610. I like how it wears, love the solar and multiband and just the classic look. Totally opinion though. It's up to the person wearing it and what they want in a watch.
@@TimeToGoTravelAndTimepieces Answered my own question a soon after posting. There is one positive display version available on an all white model, GA 2000S-7 AJF.

The strap swapping is what I was thinking as I was watching the video and then you brought it up! Lol. Better looks! Great video man.
Much appreciated:)
Love this G-SHOCK. Definitely a watch that does not seem indifferent to you! Great review Bob!
It's definitely a cool one. Thanks Adrian👍

my favorite watch
Nice review, I like the interchangeable strap without have to buy extra strap adapters.
Definitely handy. Might be cool if they do it on some other models in the future too. Thanks Chris!
It looks great on your wrist awesome 👍😎🖐️
Totally agree re the neg lcd's - they're a bloody pain.
They're almost not usable at least with my eyes. Just to small on this one.
@@TimeToGoTravelAndTimepieces Makes you wonder why they do it. It's a common moan but they don't seem to do anything about it?

I'd pick one up if they made one like that for sure! Really like the color too. Thanks Joe.
I dont really like Quartz pieces as you know but if need to Pick a watch for survive gshock line from casio is the ultimate solution for sure 😎👍👍
For sure! I prefer mechanical too but these have a place in certain situations. Cheers!
This might be one of the best summer watches, and gym/workout watches too of course
I thought the same thing. Definitely a great summer watch. Thanks!
..and in winter time?
Your statement is just ridiculous. There is no typical winter or summer clock!
@@nilsmagwalt3410 idk.. i guess the color in this one
Def a cool watch, I may pick up the black and yellow one for work since it matches our colors at work. G shocks are great beat around watches.

Love the color of this G-Shock, definitely a great summer piece. I like the stock strap picks up the color on the dial. Great review as always Bob:)
This is the perfect summer watch for sure. I think the stock strap is the way to go but fun to be able to swap straps every once in awhile. Thanks!
Great video, Bob!! The negative display is a negative with my G-Shock as well. I like the colors on yours.
Yeah. A little tricky to read sometimes. Thanks!
Where I can buy the other strap?
Thanks
just bought one the same today love it
Nice! It's a great watch. Enjoy :)
I hope these are released in different colors. I'd definitely pick 1 up in red
I bought the straps from this video for my GA-2000, and im loving it! 😁
Cool! They work great for it. Thanks 👍👍
The Super Illuminator and Backlighting Illuminator simultaneously lighting together is what I am looking for.
Bought one here in Canada from Amazon.UK
The watch it’s AMAZING, same color “1A2” with a Barton Watch Band (Canvas Navy Blue 24mm)
Sleek watch, Really Comfortable to wear.
Nice! Bet it looks really good on canvas. Mine's mostly been on the Elite Silicone from Barton. Enjoy it.
Yo compré uno en europa y quisiera saber cuánto dura la batería y porque le entro agua al reloj en tres años de uso . Gracias
I prefer g shock squares but that is cool too.
I'm the same. My 5610 is definitely my favourite.
Compared the Barton strap to a mullet. Didn't see that one coming.
Lol. Yeah popped in my head and went with it:)
Thanks for this!
Yesterday brought it

My watch last serial number 21942😑in 2021 purchase i got old one.
Love the Barton black strap... What size is it, 22mm?!
Really like it in it too. Its 24mm.
@@TimeToGoTravelAndTimepieces Thank you 🙏
The watch is very beautiful, but what do you think of this model??
CASIO G-SHOCK GA-400HR-1ADR
Haven't seen that one in person yet but it looks really cool too.
have the ga2000-2adr(all navy blue). for less than 60 USD its worth it
Awesome watch for the price for sure!

@@TimeToGoTravelAndTimepieces ok thank u sir will try black on the yellow watch
Between this and ga100 or ga900 which is better? Thanks
Haven't had hands on with either but the GA900 might be my pick of the 3. All 3 seem like good options though.
where to get extra straps?
On my Gshock the color of plastic has got whitening.. is this normal
I haven't seen that but it could happen over time.
@@TimeToGoTravelAndTimepieces as the blue straps kept on getting dirty i used to wash them with hot water n hand wash soap...
What size Barton strap do I need to fit this watch? 18mm, 20mm, or 22mm
It's a 24mm.
Thanks man
does your band have "casio" written on it?
G9300, Gw5610, or Ga2000? I'm stuck between the three. Which is best and why?
I personally like the 5610. I like how it wears, love the solar and multiband and just the classic look. Totally opinion though. It's up to the person wearing it and what they want in a watch.
Is there a battery life for it? It would be great if it had solar
It's a 3 year battery. Solar would have been nice for sure.
There's another model with solar
How to activate auto light for this watch?
There's no auto light on this one unfortunately.
Thanks 👍👍👍
The black button not same like silver one. When i press it i can't feel the pressure like silver one. Is this defective? Plz tell bro
I think this one was the same. Not as much pressure to push if I recall.
@@TimeToGoTravelAndTimepieces yeah, the thing is i don't feel pressure on black button. But silver buttons feel much pressure
Metal case atomic and solar. Than yes
bruh i dont know if i should get this blue one or the black one.

Does ga2000 use what mm blade spring?
Like this G great review as well

Which one do u recommend ga2000 or bluetooth one
I haven't tried the bluetooth ones yet so tough to say.

Not sure if you've seen the newish Rangeman but that one seems to have alot of similar features as the Garmins. Huge watch though.
G shock was never into smart watches, yes you get hell alot of features with rangeman, but still they are in market for their toughness.
Is it a master of G? If not then I'll pass...
Not a Master of G.
Why pass? Because it does not master your G spot?
