My father was a Teamster, truck driver, for over 30yrs prior to his passing. He would tell me after a rough day how stupid these new truck drivers were getting. Not like the older drivers who used their brains. I still look for those older smarter drivers when I am on the road.

The people claiming that AI trucks will need drivers are the Teamsters. Some perspective. New York City has more citizens living in it than, New Hampshire, Maine, Montana, Rhode Island, Delaware, South Dakota, North Dakota, Alaska, District of Columbia, Vermont, and Wyoming combined. This single city has a population the size of Virginia. It has a population greater than the individual populations of 38 other States. 5% of the entire population of the US lives in this one city. This one city accounts for 10% of total US GDP. It is so powerful that you can smash three gigantic skyscrapers to the ground with airplanes and the city just keeps going merrily onward. So lots of luck with this boycott doing anything other than freeing up NYC with less truck traffic, for which the citizens will thank you.

There are probably some independent truckers that are that stupid, but it's a drop in the bucket compared how many truckers are looking for loads. NYC is a logistical nightmare and long wheelbase road trucks pulling 53' trailers don't even fit. This is total BS.
