The ISS suits are very old technology now, many decades old, these SpaceX suits will be using very latest materials and fabrication techniques. For a first EVA these suits seemed to function very well, even so I bet future suits will incorporate a lot of changes, actual usage like this generates a lot of data and ideas how to improve.

Incredible how much room there is in that capsule. And it's mostly white. Lots of blank surfaces. I think that makes a big difference for making the astronauts feel calm and ok, compared to the earliest of spacecraft.
Great Video!! This mission is VERY IMPORTANT.. If we go back to the moon and on to Mars...these test on worling in space will have to be performed flawlessly.. On the Gemini 4 flight ( where Astronaut Ed White walked in space) the entire Apollo program hung in the balance of that successful mission... I watched this and I was speaking to my TV and saying come on give us some signal loss, and Spacex didn't disappoint me. Spacex are notorious for losing signal feeds on their missions, they always do, and there is no excuse for it with with all the global comms stations around the globe.

What type of signal is being used by the camera filming outside the pressurized cabin in the vacuum of space? Is it not affected by the space radiation and extremely hot 2,000C temperature?
Why is the umbilical attached to the thigh of the EVA suit ? And There looks to be no harness or strain relief to help avoid the umbilical from getting snagged & accidentally detached
why is the life support and tether (assuming its also a tether) on their leg? I feel like that design will make it difficult to do things externally on the EVA. I would assume it would be at the back, or at least coming from the back and over to the chest or something.
Because these suits are designed to be worn while strapped in to the capsule’s seats, so instead of making a complicated seat design that allows the tether to connect to the back through the seat, they just designed it to connect to the leg and they called it a day
For free roaming on the moon or Mars, they need a second type of suit that carries its resources with it. Check out the big backpack they use when they have to use handholds to climb around on the ISS for repairs or installations.

Not sure what you meant to write, but I think you are asking about the hatch. The external hatch swings on a hinge at 90 degrees from the exit hole. That hatch has cameras and at least one light.

The problem is the bandwidth of the signal to transmit the video feed back for streaming. They capture very high quality vide for internal use, but I have to agree some of the camera views could have a cleaner lens...lol
The video recorded onboard will be high res but bandwidth restrictions due to how high an orbit they are in limits the quality of the live streamed footage. Also SpaceX will have a lot more cameras recording this than the ones they live streamed from, expect a cleaned up high res highlights video after they return.
You don’t know the difference between real or fake just dismissing this as fake with no evidence that it is fake why you can’t see the stars is because of the video camera that doesn’t pick up low light images they can see the stars with their eyes but we can’t see it in the video because of this you’re comments are irrelevant because you are not intelligent enough to see it yourself it’s people like you that hold humanity back sad 😞 but I hope you’ve been educated enough now ❤

The video recorded onboard will be high res but bandwidth restrictions due to how high an orbit they are in limits the quality of the live streamed footage. Also SpaceX will have a lot more cameras recording this than the ones they live streamed from, expect a cleaned up high res highlights video after they return.
