He’s not an alcoholic who turns into a sexual predator, he’s a sexual predator that also has a drinking problem.
I don't know him almost at all, but it's obvious that alcohol doesn't turn people into something, it just removes their filters. That being said, not every person who behaves badly under influence has to be bad when their conscience and full awareness is active - we all have some animal aggresion and sexual drive that can be revealed when substances turn off parts of our minds. And I'm not sure how well you know him, but chances are we've pretty much never really seen him sober. :( Anyway, there have to be consequences for damaging behavior, no matter if caused by a person's nature or substance abuse, so I gues the result is the same.

Andy Dick got suuuuuper high and started picking on an "up-an-coming" rapper who had to be in his mid-thirties. He overheard him talking to other people about his mixtape and it set him off. To provoke this fellow, he had the bright idea to follow him around and call him a "fake rapper" and then use the hard-r to describe and trash this dude. After getting the shit kicked out of him, he then turns to me with his bloodied face, looks me dead in the eye and says "Well, he's a wannabe. What a n*****, right?" I worked at a sex offender's unit for kids to adults in Indiana, and I went through all the patients files and 99% of them were all abused themselves and are part of a cycle. It is wrong to blame him for what happened to Phil Hartman. As a recovering addict of heroin, whenever I use or put myself into a position where it could happen, it's 100% my fault, nobody else. I remember my loved ones would blame everyone else for what happened to me, but it was 100% my decision. If that woman relapsed, she was already sliding before that incident. It doesn't happen all at once. We are all responsible for our actions and I wish ppl wouldn't blame others for their addictions, it's damaging to the ppl still trying to recover.
All true. I was at a party Sigourney Weaver threw in NYC. Andy was there and he did a lot of what you mentioned here. I am surprised to see so many people have posted similar experiences here.
I didn’t know this part of Andy’s link to Phil…I so loved Phil so much..I was heartbroken when I heard the news. I loved watching News Radio too… Wow..all these links to other people’s passing is shocking…he really could have had a good career if he didn’t let drugs mess him up…he’s sick and doesn’t need to be around anyone
Andy Dick was a guest star on an episode of Star Trek Voyager and it’s one of the best episodes of the show. He was great! But he’s a sad example of addiction.
I saw Andy Dick twice in concert back around 2001 in LA. He was performing in his band called Andy Dick & The Bitches of the Century. Super entertaining, theatrical shows. I don't think many people know this, but his band released 2 music albums (that are very "Andy Dick-ish", of course). He actually has a collection of some great, catchy songs that he sings. Definitely worth a listen. I hope he gets his act together.
He probably won't... Sadly. He is in his 50s and is still sailing down the same road he was in his 20s. 30+ years of drug and alcohol addiction is rarely overcome.
They say that words have power and it must be true as he took his name literally and has been living up to it ever since. How is he not in a locked ward of a mental hospital?
i first met Andy Dick (what an apt name!) when he started in standup comedy, i was emceeing an open mic at LA Cabaret in SF Valley, late mid 80's, he 'performed' (if you could call it that) several times, he was one of the most unpleasant individuals i ever dealt with, i emceed another spot in Westwood where he pulled the same shit... i admit to quite a bit of schadenfreude regarding all his continuous travails and troubles... for this reason (that i absolutely despise Andy Dick!) i will NOT watch this vid, but have given a thumbs up, #123 (i love what you guys do and am a subscriber!)
Haven't actually watched this due to the subject, the Phil Hartman thing was the line for me. I'm sure i don't care for some of the stunts he's pulled the past decade or so but i read about the insident with him and jon lovitz a couple years ago and it just made me appreciate lovitz that much more and utterly stop caring about andy dick. If he died tomorrow i would just laugh and it really bums me out that he had a kid and passed down his garbage dna. Hopefully the kid doesn't turn into a total shithead and sad joke like his father.
Was his brother in any condition to consent to being filmed as he lay dying? Based on Andy’s callous and destructive personality, I’m guessing he didn’t bother to even ask that poor man.
I always felt bad for him. He’s fighting so many demons, and tho it doesn’t make it okay for him to be the way he is. It just makes me feel for him, I struggle with sobriety as well. I can see where he comes from with his demons, he’s totally lost touch. He’s never got help for his mental illness. I hope he can get help someday. He’s seems like a sad clown, and it simply makes me wanna hug him and wish him to get well. I just wish he could keep his dick and his tongue to himself.
Nah. He has alot of money and has alot of fans. He likes drama. He doesnt even cry about getting his ass whooped He has serious cognitive detachment syndrome.
Amazing how the algorithm works right now. Here we are, watching a documentary of a bona find junkie/alcoholic, and the first add that appears is of a brand of liquor. Lol!!!😅😅😅😅 Trust me when I tell you that I'm not making this shit up
It's one thing when when your addictions damages himself, but it is quite another when just being in his orbit leaves somebody at risk of being groped and molested. It's not a funny thing to have him try to make free use of other people's bodies -- FREQUENTLY. It's just so violating and people who know what it's like to have to be frequently on guard for their personal safety aren't going to be so eager to hand out second chances to a repeat offender.
If you want to go even deeper, the war on drugs killed Hartman. Countries were drug users aren't seen as criminals have proven that people do drugs less. It's almost as if people seek help when they aren't afraid of being arrested, how crazy!
I don't really know who he is, he isn't well known in GB but I do remember him being in Star Trek Voyager. Fairly indifferent but it's a good episode but could have been played by anyone.
Other than the odd tabloid gossip the only things I knew about Andy Dick were that he was hilarious as Matthew on NewsRadio, that on the show Less Then Perfect he played almost exactly the same character, and that the South Park song Christmastime in Hell name-checked him as someone Hell had reserved a spot for. As a flawed person myself I could almost admire Andy if he refused to repent and reform; but if he's merely unable to do so, he's just pitiable. I still enjoy the NewsRadio DVD boxed set. And thanks to Joe Rogan, Dick isn't even the worst person to come from that show. And thanks to Vicki Lewis, he isn't the sexiest.
why is rogan the worst? He aks questions...sure. He is neither right nor left when it comes to politics, either. So now disagreeing with someone politically makes him the worst?
Ehh... I don't like people who don't turn it off.....he'd be way too annoying to hang around.... I wonder how many times he's had the shit beat out of himself
Saw Andy Dick in a Radio Shack in 1999. I assume when he's sober, he's a normal dude..... Honestly, adults make their own damn choices. Phil Hartman married a woman with issues, including coke issues. Dick might've made it worse but there are drugs everywhere in LA.
Six years of heroin addiction and a few years of alcoholism nearly destroyed me. I’m just ten months clean. Got my job back. We need more compassionate people like you, man. Because of my avatar, people in the comments often think I’m a man. I’m a woman and I’m very underweight. I’m still flabbergasted that I’m alive. I’ve found God and I have a beautiful dog and I’m getting back into my painting. I’m moving back to my own apt, hopefully soon. My crutch right now is weed and I want to quit that more and more. I’ve been meditating every day. I really hope that Andy Dick gets the help he needs. I feel for the man.
Well here's a spoil alert for you - he's still alive! People were thinking he was going to die like 15 years ago! But you kind of wouldn't, because you were probably only 1 year old then.
I want him to actually find recovery and peace in life. And bear in mind I do hold him slightly responsible for the death of Phil Hartman who I adored. Nevertheless I hope Andy gets some kind of control over his issues. But I doubt it’s ever gonna happen. I divorced an addict on that level. These people don’t really get better after a certain point, and especially with the ability to go out and make like a 6 figure payday any time he can pull his shit together for 3 days on a movie set
Thank you for excluding Joe Rohan when mentioning the comedic lineup they had in News Radio Rogan is NOT a comedian. I don’t know why he thinks he is either

👴🏻🥃 THANK U
🥃👴🏻gODFATHER WHAT CAN I DO? WAAH CRYIN WHAT CAN I DO?
I'd no idea about Andy's ties to Phil Hartman's murder.
He really is living up to his name.
@@craigh5236 If I remember correctly he also got the cast of NewsRadio kicked out of an awards ceremony for "showing his last name". I believe Stephen Root said that in an interview.
Cause he had nothing to do with it
@@Cazz8203 Maybe not directly nor intentionally but he was there, doing coke with Phil's wife who was high on coke when she killed him. Guilt by association.
@@jediknightjairinaiki560 He didn't twist her arm, and make her snort the shit. She was an addict, and if you're not strong enough in your recovery, then stuff like this happens.
My favorite Andy Dick part was in American Dad, he was a Rodger replacement. Very Andy Dick
🥃👴🏻 gODFATHER WAA WHAT CAN I DO? WHAT CAN I DO? 😩🎖 U CAN BE A MAN
All true. I was at a party Sigourney Weaver threw in NYC. Andy was there and he did a lot of what you mentioned here.
I am surprised to see so many people have posted similar experiences here.
You missed when he was drunk on the “Woodstock 99” live ppv flashing his junk, was uncomfortable and seemed very forced
I didn’t know this part of Andy’s link to Phil…I so loved Phil so much..I was heartbroken when I heard the news. I loved watching News Radio too…
Wow..all these links to other people’s passing is shocking…he really could have had a good career if he didn’t let drugs mess him up…he’s sick and doesn’t need to be around anyone
Andy Dick was a guest star on an episode of Star Trek Voyager and it’s one of the best episodes of the show. He was great! But he’s a sad example of addiction.
He's a literally predator... idc wtf he starred in. Try to stay centered in REALITY.
I remember him getting arrested in my hometown for urinating on the side of a wall.
David Strickland wasn't on Newsradio though, right?
Andy Dick Show is one of the funniest shows of all time.
The Assistant was hilarious as welo
Appreciate the effort you put into this video
Andy would see the line most would not cross and say hold my beer bro.
Yeah so he can snort it.
Oh no! Can you imagine Farley as you sponsor 🤣🤣
Thanks for the interesting vid JoBlo team. Sad to see someone in that much pain and he just keeps going down.
Why do people completely forget about that time he was in an episode of Star Trek: Voyager?
"Dickades" not decades. 😂
I really enjoyed this video.. I wanted it to go on longer and for you to tell me more about Andy Dick.. Sad story but a great one!! Thank You!
Wow, surprisingly got my teary at the end when you said we SHOULD worry about him and all that
I saw Andy Dick twice in concert back around 2001 in LA.
19:01 i think you misspelled "enabling" in the script.
My favorite Andy Dick performance was in the movie, "The Making of... And God Spoke" where Lou Ferrigno chokes him out.
From this whole video I truly love the JoBlo PSA "Fuck Fentynal"
Only two movies I actually enjoyed him in was "in the army now" and his brief scene in road trip
The movies he has been in are mostly terrible. But i have to admit that his performances can be pretty funny.
I liked him in old school.
22:28 😂😂😂 i guess thats a "happy" note as you say.
Andy is like a cartoon trapped inside a human body, like Sylvester the Cat, or Yacko Warner!
Nah those two have standards.
Never compare those two to Andy. Even they wouldn't stoop that low.
Who was the girl who showed up at 15:59 in this video?
One thing is definitely true he was always a creep
They say that words have power and it must be true as he took his name literally and has been living up to it ever since. How is he not in a locked ward of a mental hospital?
Honestly, never a more deserving last name for a guy ever.
This is the "Very Special Episode" of Wtf Happened
Is it my imagination or is Andy Dick actually Kathy Griffin in drag? 🤔🧐😂😂
“Never trust a bunny!” - Twitchy.
His high-school picture looks like he could he Jeffery Dahmer's geeky younger brother. 😮 😆
Great job as always, but especially for that well handled end scene 👏
i first met Andy Dick (what an apt name!) when he started in standup comedy, i was emceeing an open mic at LA Cabaret in SF Valley, late mid 80's, he 'performed' (if you could call it that) several times, he was one of the most unpleasant individuals i ever dealt with, i emceed another spot in Westwood where he pulled the same shit... i admit to quite a bit of schadenfreude regarding all his continuous travails and troubles... for this reason (that i absolutely despise Andy Dick!) i will NOT watch this vid, but have given a thumbs up, #123 (i love what you guys do and am a subscriber!)
I feel more for Pauly Shore than Andy Dick.
Let's wonder...... If Andy wants this chronicled by whatever hanger on
is hanging on at any given time? Hmmmmmmmmm...
Was his brother in any condition to consent to being filmed as he lay dying? Based on Andy’s callous and destructive personality, I’m guessing he didn’t bother to even ask that poor man.
The "N" word?
Nerd?
"News Radio" fans will get the joke.
HUH ?
Yikes. You know you're a trainwreck when Chris Farley is your sponsor.
I never like or understood why people thought this trainwreck was entertaining? Hollywood already had a Tom Green, they didn't need another one!
Who was he with in this clip? 2:34
Thank you for sharing your thoughts here because I feel the same way about him. I wish I could be friends with him
Lol!!!😅😅😅😅 Trust me when I tell you that I'm not making this shit up
That Prom picture was 100% Mclovin vibes 😂
It's one thing when when your addictions damages himself, but it is quite another when just being in his orbit leaves somebody at risk of being groped and molested. It's not a funny thing to have him try to make free use of other people's bodies -- FREQUENTLY. It's just so violating and people who know what it's like to have to be frequently on guard for their personal safety aren't going to be so eager to hand out second chances to a repeat offender.
If you want to go even deeper, the war on drugs killed Hartman. Countries were drug users aren't seen as criminals have proven that people do drugs less. It's almost as if people seek help when they aren't afraid of being arrested, how crazy!
not canada anymore

No Joe Rogan mention?!? Wtf lol
Had a perfect spot for it and everything
He could have been a great character actor with a long career. But he let drugs and brooze take over his life. Now, he's an old man with nothing.
Ehh... I don't like people who don't turn it off.....he'd be way too annoying to hang around.... I wonder how many times he's had the shit beat out of himself
I think Ben and Andy must've had some good collaborative energy while they were working on The Ben Stiller Show on HBO back in '97
Why would you want this guy back after all the horrible sexual and other crimes he committed? Hollywood nor the world need him.
"Went from Head Shots to Mug Shots..." Such a shame. Don't do Hollywood kids, just don't do it....
Damn, Andy decided to reenact the heroin snorting scene from Pulp Fiction.
No relation to Tim Allen (whose given surname is "Dick")
Saw Andy Dick in a Radio Shack in 1999. I assume when he's sober, he's a normal dude..... Honestly, adults make their own damn choices. Phil Hartman married a woman with issues, including coke issues. Dick might've made it worse but there are drugs everywhere in LA.
Watching this with my coffee, on a sunny morning, was a bad ideea.
Yeah it’s not exactly the most pleasant thing to watch
The suburbs of Illinois? Illinois isn't a city. Do we know what a suburb is?
I only want bad things for Andy Dick.
Fair
Same.
He was great in Newsradio, the Ben Stiller show, and Inspector Gadget.
me and my bro was hooked BSS back in the day. ☺
Andy Dick needs a podcast
Thank you for excluding Joe Rohan when mentioning the comedic lineup they had in News Radio
Rogan is NOT a comedian. I don’t know why he thinks he is either
I never found him funny 🤷🏻♂️
Lovitz took over for Hartman despite holding Andy accountable for his best friend’s murder.
Just like a good friend would.
How the hell is he still alive?
Mientras lo suben en español en el canal latino. Práctico mi inglés mirando este gran vídeo.
Gracias por tu contenido Don Joblo.
I've been wanting to study a few languages myself.
That's good
Andy looks like Tony Hawk if tony were a crackhead
