Awesome video!!! People still don’t realize that Armwrestling is a strength sport, first and foremost.

If you can find any matches between steph heroux and jacob lea from canada you will see someone who is strong enough to stop speed and someone fast enough sometimes he can beat strength

People mistake endurance with efficency, there's a very big difference

Hey Coach Ray. i need some advice!! i started arm wrestling about 8 months ago and i've been bodybuilding for 2 years, i mostly wrestle with my right arm but i train them both equally in the gym now the problem is that my whole right arm including shoulder and bicep have gotten smaller but stronger while my left arm has grown in size but weakend in strength. Tell me how to get rid of this imbalance while continuing arm wrestling>>

Specific strength >>>>> everything else. Honestly.
Also. Supermatches by engin are handpicked to have similar strength.

Endurance is built on the table not in the gym

Hello, question. Do you think it is beneficial to stretch, stretch your arms, etc.? Before training? or is it better to do it later? or do both (before and after)? Thank you

After, never before. Warm up the muscles with exercises, and gentle armwrestling etc, not stretching.

Devon clearly shows that with precision and timing you can beat strength and speed. Devon alone said that it appear that he have endurance only because he is more effective (more precise on his positions). So endurance alone means nothing. Endurance comes from training to be effective. We can assume that everything comes from more precise approach and more effective techniques. That does not mean than you can avoid strength. But...Devon beats 15-20% stronger opponents sometimes. So dont get just stronger. Get precise in your strength training and get more effective in your positions. Get stronger (overall) is not the best thing i expected to hear after all that experience. Georgie and Dennis are stronger than Devon but... :)

There is an underappreciation for Devon's strength level. And what you are saying is semantics. If you aren't being pinned by your opponent, in that moment, you are as strong as them. You can't stop someone without being as strong or stronger than them.

Devon said in a video that Strength beats endurance if you are stronger you can hold him in any time

the difference between devon from the past and now is only power. Endurance is the same and style is almost the same too. Devon has started incorporating 1rep maxes in training which he didnt do much in the past. I also thought denis would be stronger than devon as in the past but devon in that match had superior strength. Denis could never pass center from the start because he lacked strength.

As a fan, not an athlete, when i watch arwrestling some pullers who are succesful still look a bit amateurish, some look like they understand the angles and can be strong just by correct body position. I`m sure some people fatigue less in a given position but id guess 'becoming a good armwrestler' is a major part of being able to wind long matches. That includes 'never fight a loosing battle...devon often exploits then and then people think his endurance is great...he takes position, goads his oppoent and they burn themselves out for the rest of the match.

The versatility to use different parts of your arm. I’d take 5% less strength for 5% more endurance in a super match. If the strength difference is more than 5% it may not happen. But I’ve know much stronger puller’s arms to blow up after 1 round.
