Thank you so much. I viewed another tutorial and the guy just highlighted more data and I have no idea how he got the scatter chart to work. You get the chart open, pasted another column and extended the highlighted area. That worked perfectly. I was going crazy.
Thanks for the tutorial. I’ve a question? I have a XY values, but in a following format. Item, XPosition, YPosition I want to plot XY graph for entire data set, but have different type of marker for different values of Item field. Is it possible?
I’m on macOS with excel 365. The Select Data Source window is different. My columns have 744 data. I try to add a new series and get a message that the chart data range is too complex to be displayed. This must be a result of a fatal improvement. I have need successfully doing this by simply selecting the new column, copy, past into heath. That no longer works and neither does this select data trick
