I was hoping that this would work just as well for the 300l Rally, but now that I have seen you remove the toolbox, it looks like a completely different design. I’ll just have to dig into it anyway, and see if I can’t make it work... I was actually hoping by now, that there would be an offering somewhere out there in the aftermarket world...
Hello chaps Clive from The Trail and Adventure Motorbike Podcast here. Do you fancy joining us on the podcast to discuss all things CRF? We both have one, so thought it might be good to do a CRF special.
I fitted a Metal tool tube to the Sump guard, how do you post a photo?. Worked really well on a few trips. It has the advantage of being out of the way, leaving the lockable side panel. Free to store cash, credit cards. Having not paid attention to motorbikes for a few years, I'm amazed how the CRF has become so popular. I went to the Stella Alpina Rally in 2014 and was laughed at. Apologies to the CRF it might not have been solely the bike's fault 😉 Enjoy your channel.
Hey David, I'd be really interested in seeing that actually. Can you send a photo to Lightweightadv@gmail.com?tye CRF has started to prove it's credentials now, with some key people taking them on big trips etc.
What tube of slime are you guy's using?one specific for tubes?? Do you guys slime up with new tyres or will you do out on the trail if I get a puncture? Gonna be doing the tool tube mod this weekend me thinks. Congrats on the 250k view's
Hey Darren. We carry the stuff in the link below (not associated to us in any way!). We carry it as a back up. When adventuring, we carry a spare 21" tube as our go to, then the slime and then a puncture repair kit, in that order. We run HD tubes and don't slime unless needed. Good luck with the tube mod its a winner for sure. Feel free to share a photo to our Facebook Page when you're done. Thanks for the support mate, it's really appreciated 👊🏻😎
Hi, thanks for the comment, I tried one of these with the AS rail but the one I had on my 250l, caught on the tyre under compression so you would need to consider which tube you buy and it’s size. I ended up attaching it to the outside in the end, hope that helps 👍
Great stuff, definitely gonna give this a go for our longer trips. 👍
Do it! They swallow kit and keep it dry. Mega 😎👍🏻

Another useful vid Mark. Would a front tube fit in that lid?
Oosh, it would be close Cark. I don't have one to try unfortunately. It would certainly fit in the tube 👍🏻

@@lightweightadv thanks dude and will post on the fb page once it's set up
Would the cap be any good for a drinking cup ? 👍👍👍
It would have been an excellent cup 👌🏻
Wonder if this works as well on 250L...........👍
I bet it would 😎👍🏻
Put all your tools in a rag then slide it in - makes pulling everything out much easier - just grab the end of the rag
Great idea, thanks man 😎
Hey man . What bars have you got ??
Hey, these are the Renthal, CR High. Solid as a rock and a really nice fit.
@@lightweightadv still 22.2mm ???
Yep
You got to stop this. Every time you post a video it costs me money! Cheers. 🤣
Haha, we're working on commission 😅😂
Wish there was a pic of the finished product with the seat and panels on...
Anyone got the size for this tube?
The supplied link doesn't work anymore
Hope your still monitoring these comments! Will this work with the Adventure Spec panier rail?

Sure is! 👊🏻😎
Battle rattle screaming at me
I have no idea what that means 😅
Loose items amongst webbing and daysack . Sounding like a bag of bolts 🔩
