The monumental and ultimate A-List after-party, The Podium Lounge Singapore 2015, enthralled 9,000 party-goers with its sensational line-up over 2015 FORMULA 1 SINGAPORE AIRLINES SINGAPORE GRAND PRIX weekend in the Grand Ballroom of The Ritz-Carlton, Millenia Singapore.
The largest key track-side party in Singapore had over 3,000 guests snaking around the velvet ropes on Friday 18 September, the opening night to catch Formula One® Drivers and team, Channel E! News Asia hosts, Peroni aerialists, supermodels and the highlight, Kristian Nairn or HODOR! from Game of Thrones. Former British Rugby World Cup Winner Ben Cohen was seen enjoying the party too.
Mark Doyle (The Creator of HED KANDI & Fierce Angel) took over on Saturday 19 September. He was accompanied by Loiuse Evans also known as Lady V, who captivated party-goers with her incredible saxophone performance while Soraya Vivian, the lead singer of Fierce Angel or “The Fierce Diva’’ who was accompanied by Luke Buirski on guitar rocked the room with her powerful vocals.
The United States Ambassador to Singapore, Kirk Wagar was spotted at The Podium Lounge on Saturday night as well. The non-stop weekend reached its peak with an unforgettable performance by 8KY 6LU of the duo LMFAO. Tripping in from LA at the last minute, BMAD the official DJ of 8KY 6LU, hit the decks hard on race night alongside The Party President! with the entire room shuffling.
The weekend was elevated with beats from Resident Podium Lounge DJs Miles Slater, music director of premier private-members club Boujis and Patrick Oliver, famed for his two year residency at Pangaea - Marina Bay Sands, alongside world famous Cuban percussionist Pablo Calzado and Greg Moore on the electric drums.
Former Formula 1® Driver and Fox Sports Asia commentator for F1® Alex Yoong was the Guest Host for this year's celebrity-driven line-up. Alex was joined by Yvette King from Channel E! News Asia on the red carpet alongside Malaysian top actress, movie star and TV Host, Nur Fazura. Recognised as the ultimate A-List party for the racing community and situated within the track and directly across from The Paddock Club, Mercedes Formula One driver Nico Rosberg, Red Bull’s Daniel Ricciardo, Pastor Maldonado from Lotus and Red Bull Team Principal Christian Horner, were all interviewed by Yvette King. Paula Malai Ali, co-host for the Fox Sports Asia F1 Commentary was also seen at The Podium Lounge on race night as well.
With two amazing Formula 1® teams in the series - the Infiniti Red Bull Racing team and Toro Rosso, Red Bull certainly has much to celebrate. This year, in partnership with The Podium Lounge, the enigmatic energy drink, together with Bacardi Martini (Team Partners of Williams Martini Racing) The Official Spirits and Champagne Sponsor fuelled guests at The Podium Lounge.
‘Covetella Fashion Circuit’, by the glamorous style icon Carol Chen and world-renowned Pandora, was a showcase of stunning gowns paired with romantic and feminine jewellery pieces on The Podium Lounge’s iconic skywalk throughout the weekend. The Posh Pitstop, the “ultimate recharging station” by the Covetella team was also a big draw during the race weekend. The Posh Pitstop treated party-goers to everything from massages, makeovers and manicures to styling and grooming sessions.
Galeries Bartoux hosted a special and exclusive pop up exhibition featuring one of the most influential artists of the 20th century, Andy Warhol sold several artworks priced up to $250,000. Alfa Romeo, a car marque rich in the history of automobile displayed its new Alfa Romeo 4C. Forever Flawless, where luxury and skin care meet brought glitz and glamour to The Podium Lounge with its high-end premium diamond-infused skin care.
Giving back to the community was a critical part of the weekend. Each night, a silent and live auction was held by The Helping Hand Group to raise money for a good cause. The authenticated F1 Memorabilia including a huge photo signed by ALL the Drivers on the Formula 1 Grid for the 2015 Season including Vettel, Ricciardo, Hamilton, Button, Alonso, Raikkonen, a signed and framed steering wheel of Lewis Hamilton, a large signed Michael Schumacher photograph, a signed cap by legendary 3 times Formula 1 World Champion Niki Lauda and more.
