The sell-out, high-octane Podium Lounge Singapore 2014, pulled off yet another star-studded party over The Grand Prix Season Singapore weekend. Presented by Avant-garde Swiss watch brand deLaCour, Singapore’s largest Formula One after-party had guests snaking around the velvet ropes on opening night to catch the famed Hôtel Costes DJ Stéphane Pompougnac, celebrity guests and the legends of Formula One! Over 7,000 guests indulged in the truly glamorous three-night star-studded Grand Prix weekend (Friday 19 - Sunday 21 September).
The impressive line-up of guests that made their way through the velvet ropes over the weekend including legendary British Formula One drivers Sir Jackie Stewart, Damon Hill, David Coulthard, Johnny Herbert and Martin Brundle. Another highlight were the Guest Hosts, Jacques Villeneuve, Former Formula 1 World Champion who won motorsports’ biggest prize in 1997 and Alex Yoong, Malaysia’s only F1 driver who competed in the 2001 and 2002 championships who were both in attendance all 3 nights of the event.
Personalities such as Dominic Lau, celebrity fashion designer Ashley Isham, supermodel Lisa S, Paul Foster, Stephanie Carrington, E Entertainment Presenter Erin Lim, Jamie Yeo, Max Loong and Miami based DJ & Producer Ian Carey injected the glamour to the weekend.
For the first time and in association with Vitisasia, Asia’s premier wine and gastronomy experience provider, The Podium Lounge Singapore rolled out the Race Dinner with Quique Dacosta (making his first appearance in Singapore), of his eponymous 3 Michelin starred restaurant in Spain. Chef Dacosta paired his exquisite menu with multi-awarded wines from. Castell d’Encus, one of the best and original vineyards in Spain and with wines from the world famous Château Margaux, one of only four wines to achieve Premier Cru status in the Bordeaux Classification 1855.
