    Stevie was always my favorite wrestler in ECW. And it's nice to know twenty years later he is a humble, kind, funny, and healthy person. He looks so good. Rare in professional wrestling.

      @frank bonini yep Jerry is a non drinker and looks healthy for his age for sure apart from the Botox. It's funny I'm 46 and went to a school reunion a few months ago and you could tell the party girls. They all looked rough for their age. Drugs and alcohol definitely age you imo.

    He seems like a cool,laidback funny guy. Sad that these wrestling companies buried him. He has the talent and skills to be something great. I liked when they teamed him up with Victoria and Right To Censor was epic...it brought something different and new to wrestling. I would like to meet Stevie one day.

    Stevie is an intelligent and respectable individual. He's the type of wrestler that SHOULD be getting a big push. He had a shit gimmick in ECW and still made it entertaining despite having to be a tv "lacky" wearing short cut off shorts and a goofy gimmick. The guy can flat out wrestle, always kept in good condition, tried to learn along the way, and had athleticism. IMO he could've been just as successful as any big time star in WWE had he been utilized properly.

    I'm really hoping someone can actually upload a full segment or two from this interview at some point. It seems like an interesting shoot to me and I've heard Stevie actually made negative comments about The Undertaker in this interview. Which is odd to me since people usually speak highly of Taker

    • @christopherc7855
      @christopherc7855 10 лет назад +1

      kendrick and london both have repeatedly said bad things about undertaker lol but yeah its pretty rare

    • @christopherc7855
      @christopherc7855 10 лет назад +1

      thetoon99 i know paul london said taker was a guy who pulled him aside and commended him for his demeanor in the locker room. London said with sarcasm geez thanks somewhere along the line their first shoot interview they really went in depth about undertaker and how he made people kiss his ass

    • @christopherc7855
      @christopherc7855 10 лет назад

      thetoon99 how taker made it seem it was a big deal to gain his respect. London and Kendrick hated how people constantly kissed his ass and how taker relished in it. They do not like him at all. the only people they truly liked were oralndo jordan, jimmy wang yang, benoit, hardcore holly, randy orton and sometimes batista

    • @christopherc7855
      @christopherc7855 10 лет назад

      thetoon99 well taker doesn't have to walk around like his shit doesn't stink to be honest. they showed respect but they also were not gonna kiss ass like other people. You'll have to look up "paul london and brian kendrick excellent adventure".
      It was a great shoot very insightful. they were obviously not disrespectful people if they had the respect of benoit, batista, and a few other respected guys in the locker room even if some of them were not main event wrestlers. But what they say about Taker is tamed compared what they say about HHH and Vince. its a fun video to watch its long but not sure if you will find it for free. I bought it but that was 2 years ago, totally not a waste of my money. if you are into shoot interviews i would definitely purchase it. Some moments are just for laughs but A LOT is insightful for ten bucks it was worth it.

    The thing is though, he was such a great color commentator. I will probably get heat for saying that, but I don't know why. He was an EXCELLENT color commentator who had great chemistry with Michael Cole on SmackDown from 2002 to whenever he left. I absolutely loved his style of calling matches. It's sort of disappointing to hear that he was an asshole behind the scenes because you'd think his tough guy gimmick was just a gimmick.

    Hang on, has Stevie been doing an impersonation of Johnny Ace for his whole career because he did not sound like Stevie Richards in this interview. You must all know what I'm talking about? I'm a big fan of Stevie and while I knew he would never get his due in WWE, I still can't believe when they gave him a year long losing streak on WWE's ECW and then actually brought it up on commentary when he finally won a match. That's how you bury a guy after putting him over!

    who were markedly different, whether it was in ring style, promo's, or the kind of matches they would have, or their look would be pushed on, or blackballed for not having the WWE style and/or having a big head coming into the WWE before making their name there. I think Taz kind of learned what that was like throught that experience because that happened to him. Taz in TNA and Taz in WWE may have disliked somebody or even held grudges against them the exact way he did in ECW, but he didn't

    maybe to some people but all the guys that had a problem with him them love him now. Young guys in TNA are complaining about Taz for different reasons than new guys were complaining about Taz in ECW. In ECW it was more of a totem pole issue where Taz is giving you shit as you enter the company in reality but in his own mind its because he's a veteran of the business. Kind of like how in 01,02,03 and Sadly in tragic irony 99, 00 for Taz himself, when workers who got over from different places

    I thought it was hilarious too, I don't understand why people get mad over it. Maybe because it had something to do with Masters having to get off steroids, and perhaps because a lot of fans blame Triple H for ruining Masters career even though he had nothing to do with it. But then a lot of fans like to throw all the blame on Triple H. He's a popular scapegoat which is bull-crap.

    or more accurately a reaction as if he did because he's not in the critical revelry that Bully Ray is in right now. How many people were saying that about Bubba that aren't nowadays. Wrestlers say what they feel will stick that they can make a perception in the people's mind. Taz as one of the most loved announcers in WWE the stories didn't come, he jumps to TNA where he can be percieved that way as a polictal big wig throwing around his clout and they resurface.
