He is the protagonist of Boltgun, the game that takes place between Space Marines 1 and 2, and the reason why the artifact was recover, as Malum was the one who recover it by request of the inquisition.

BUT NEVER about a class or someone failing because the game is sometimes unforgiving like it should for the universe. Also i vow that the persons beside me in operations aren't randoms. *VENGEEAAAANNNCE!!!*
The iconic banner stance in the same cutscene as Marneus Calgar. I fucking squealed
2:07 someone pointed out something i never seen because is so hit or miss to see it. If you pause there, you can see 3 Sternguard Veterans in the back (the ones with the white beaky helm). Why that is important? Because that means there is the possibility we can have a "Malum Caedo" customization for Operations in the future. For those who wonders who Malum is. He is the protagonist of Boltgun, the game that takes place between Space Marines 1 and 2, and the reason why the artifact was recover, as Malum was the one who recover it by request of the inquisition.
Whats such a cool detail is that the marines in the background when Calgar drops all have the white veteran helmets, a detail very hard to spot but still there cuz the people who made this did their homework
*Skyscraper sized demon appears out of the warp*
Calgar: "Anyway, me an my chapter started blasting."
And then the fucking Dreadnaught throws a rock at a giant abomination. This game is fucking peak.
Nice
5:24 another moment I absolutely loved showing chadriel being the polar opposite of leandros
In the book unremembered empire from the Horus heresy there ist a moment where the stepmother of roboute guilliman talks to a gathering of Space marines from white scars, iron hands, raven guard and salamanders on maccrage. She begs them to help the ultramarines and dark angels. And all space marines of those legions cry after that ,,We march for macragge!!!“ that was such an awesome moment to read this. I had goosebumps over my whole body!
If Tharius managed to stay alive, even with a spark of life, he would be a Dreadnought.
Technically there is a random chance that if you cover Tharius he won't die right there. There's no cutscene or voice line though and there's no reference that he survives the rest of the battle but it is possible to cover him long enough that he's alive when Calgar shows up.
Also he's just lost a leg .if tech priests managed to stitch calgar back after he torn apart by Tyranid swarmlord they can stitch a new leg too.
I grew chest hair watching this.
My stubble grew into a viking beard watching this and braided itself the second time i watched it.

5:26 I love how Gadriel pushed Titus away and inverted the obelisk himself. Gadriel still probably felt guilty for nearly shooting Titus because of false accusations of heresy.

@@Starviking Do you really think that it doesnt make difference? It has mattered since dawn of mankind. Okay lets make not "Manly" space marine and see how its going to end up. Cant even think how you could make anything related to space marine as not being manly while same time being successful

You can tell the people who made this know what fans want very cool
I became a fans after playing this scene🤣
I love calgors body guards, look at how they look around to protect their Chapter Master. Such great detail.
The pure testosterone and absolute badassery of holding both a banner and a position was one of the most epic experiences I’ve ever had in my 16 years of gaming
I have watched this every day since I played it myself... Titus really proves in the scenes why he was once Captain. Courage and Honour brothers!
When I was a kid I went into a Games Workshop, and saw a Space Marine with a Chapter banner. It was so glorious and majestic that it stuck with forever as a memory. This scene made my jaw drop.

SECOND NURSERY! HOLD YOUR GROUND, IN THE NAME OF OUR PARENTS!
"Brother Billy, stand up!"
"My diaper is full, brother"
"Wet wipe him"
ASSEMBLE AROUND THE JUNGLE GYM!
This gives me Horus Heresy vibes, specifically the fall of Calth where one of the Ultramarines retrieves their banner and refuses to drop it throughout the entire shadow war. So bloody cool.
That's it. I'm painting an Ultramarine.
what I love most about this scene, is that the marines that come with calgar have white outlined shoulder pads (2:08). They are first company vets, so it is very fitting. It is a 2 sec detail, which they still paid attention to. So well done
Plus the tactical marines in the background have white helmets too

VENGEANCE!!!!
This is by far the best videogame of warhammer 40k to date. Total and absolutly brotherhood and masculinity to fighr side by side against the hordes of chaos until last dying breath. COURAGE AND HONOR, BROTHERS! FOR THE EMPEROR!!!! AAAAHHHHHHH!!!!!!
I know absolute jack all about Warhammer. But this gave me fucking chills and brought tears to my eyes.
Behold gamers, there is hope for masculinity in modern games.
FOR THE EMPEROR
This is a symbol of positive masculinity. Trust, brotherhood, supporting each other, no ego only respect for everything each other has gone through.
The teachings of the Lord of Ultramar live on strong
Why do you need a game to secure your masculinity?
@@LovesickMisanthrope not to secure but as an example of good masculinity. Not virulent machismo.
This is why i love this game and the base who play it. I always greet anyone who play with me in Operations with the: "Emperor protects, brother" in chat.
Also i never complain other than the number of Xenos and the bs when the parries doesn't get through. BUT NEVER about a class or someone failing because the game is sometimes unforgiving like it should for the universe.
Also i vow that the persons beside me in operations aren't randoms. THEY ARE MY BROTHERS.
On top in both Operations and the main game, i put in front of the cadians so they can STILL STANDING on the fight ... for the Imperium and Cadia, even if lays across the stars.
The way they said: "THE STANDARD😱" We can understand that is more than just a piece of tissue. It is a symbol for all Ultramarines💪🏻
Big Papa Smurf himself!
Except that's not Gulliman, people thought that's who Calger was representing, that he was Gulliman.
NOPE! He is "big brother" of the Ultramarines. Big papa Smurf is Guilliman.
MAN! they game left for a 3rd entry. It will be awesome if we see Guilliman himself appearing in the next.

1:25 that one ultra marine lives rent free in my head. "Out of ammo, surrounded by unending deamons? FUKIN BET!"
Calgar redeemed in this game, showing how much of an absolute unit he is
After watching this, I have come up with new lore for my homebrew Chapter.
Specifically the third company standard bearer had a grip on the banner so tight he left indents of his hand in the adamantium pole, and by his own word he has said that even if he falls, if he still lives, the next brother to carry it may need to tear it from his hands.
The moment he slams the Banner into the rubble to hold it tall, when he says "... PRIMARCH! ", it just hits different.
When I got to this part, I almost cried as to how you assemble the flag of your chapter and fight till death.
"There is no end to them!"
"There is! And we shall find it!"
That's so freaking badass
"My leg is gone brother" He said it calmly, literally.
The fact that Leandros still suspects Titus of heresy after that proves he isn’t one worthy of wearing the black
