Its interesting how much perception changed in the last 15 years or so. compared to f.e. a mid of the range Golf V 1.6 this was a rocket. nowadays a 1.5tsi golf will even pull away in every day driving in low to medium revs (f.e. 60-100kph in 4th/5th gear gear) and you really need to rev the old naturally aspirated engine out to get it going, otherwise it feels a bit like a boat especially with the automatic. but it has its sound and lovely clean revving nature going for it.
yep, i feel like the E90 is the perfect car to go buy groceries, the N52 it's quite a reliable engine, is not too slow, has a design that resambles the E46 with wide body and still has a interior that doesn't look like 15 years old
Great car. It doesn't look too old, can be daily driven and it's quite a bargain. I'd personally choose the 330i for the extra horsepower and bullet proof n52 engine.
Because in Europe you have to pay a shitload of taxes for a 3.0L engine, that's why most people settle for 2.0.or 2.5L. For example in Belgium, road tax for a 3.0L car is almost 1000 euros per year, also even basic insurance is much more expensive for powerful cars
@@draculu thx, now I understand. I'm from Brazil, here the road tax is based on the market value of the vehicle, getting cheaper every year. It used to be like in Europe, perhaps we need to rollback. And the best thing is that after 20 years the tax is free, remaining just a small fee for licensing and insurance.
I have an E92 325i, same 2.5l engine. It's pretty underwhelming, had it since March 2020 and I really don't care much about it. It drives okay, it sounds okay, it goes okay; it's just okay. I feel for anyone with a lower-powered engine in theirs. I've had other BMWs, and this just doesn't really float my boat. The only thing going for it was the price, it was too cheap but there was nothing wrong with it. Suckered into averageness by the cheap price alone.
@@Krosis_ If he was used to bigger hp before it's probably not enough. For me, it has enough punch and it's a great highway cruiser. 0-100km/h in less than 7 sec, great handling and stance. Make sure to go for the sports package and look for a well maintained car with regular oil services done.. I've driven 300hp cars and the handling was not as good as in the e92. But yeah, it comes to how well it was cared for by previous owners.
@@Krosis_ e90 325i with 250Nm and its weight doesnt go as enjoyable as those nimble e36/e46 with same engines. E36 328i with 190hp pulls wayyy better and feels like a sports car, this feels meh. I owned 330i pre face, e92 335i and now own 2010 328xi. 328xi auto is kinda best daily for all seasons. xdrive has shorter gearing, so that 6 speed feels more alive.
The car is only really alive after 5k rpms. It's a small engine in a relatively heavy 1.5t+ vehicle...it is more isolated as well so you don't have that raw feedback you would get in the older generations. I have that engine as well and it is very sedate till you push it...can feel underwhelming at times but feels rewarding if maxed out.
For something from 2007, it actually looks really pretty modern even today.
Everyone say it :D
@@Nobody99962 I honestly cannot believe that this car is already 15 years old :D, looks insanely fresh!
2005*
It looks excactly 2007, not newer or older. But it looks good.
I've owned three 325 generations an e30, an e36 and this e90....love this car, good test Joe!!!
I am not sure why but I can't stop loving the e90 especially the 325i and 330i in m sport looks way better than most modern cars
One of the best cars made in history
Betka 🥰 i kierunkowskazy działały 😆👍
Nice ! For me personally I like the estate version.
@Tmax vlogs no it's not.

Unpopular opinion probably but i prefer the e90 over the e46 (except for the M cars).
Agreed
You're not alone

Thank you thank everyone thank goodness
Getting my 2008 325 soon 😩
How much you spend on maintenance, if I May ask? I'm seriously considering buying this same model but I'm kinda worried to buy a money sink 😅
My dads got a E90 BMW 335I M SPORD AUTO 2011 PETROL BLACK 306Bhp 155mph 62k miles, and he used to have a E90 320I Auto 2007 he’s had so many BMWs

wow 13 l ? is that in normal driving or power driving?
Is this specific model hard to find ?
How does it pull from low revs?
hi joe, will you ever test the smart forfour, version 2005?
Could you post another video if you still have the car?

I wouldn't expect too much from 15 yo car. There's always a reason when something is cheap as chips.
What did you find better in other BMW's that this one doesn't have? I'm interested in getting the same model you have ( the 325i E92).

There is only two places with no speed limit highway. In Germany and Romania xD
Is this fuel save type of e90 ?
Cool!
altitude?
Does anyone know where i can get that trim and shifter for this exact bmw?
Blinker funktioniert 🙂
Very good car ❤❤
My mother had this, nice car but too small for us now.
goodnesses
is this a good first car?
Yes i still drive it after 5 years its my first car
Yes
That bmw is sweet and sexy awesome test drive with it👍🏽
Where?
👍👍
There no non-turbo BMW anymore
After Facelift is 3,0l i think
Why is it so slow? There's probably something wrong with it. Even my old 316i was faster than this, lol.
Perhaps they're not flooring it? lol power seems about right in normal driving for an older small straight six imo
What do you expect from a 14 yo car which has done 222000km?
Its pretty amazing that engine check light is not on, especially when its bmw.

Citroen saxo next?
