Life long learning lets goooo (also yes to Monstera Deliciosa varieties - my oldest has to go in the ground… she was too big for pots indoors so she’s in the garden now and loving life.) 🪴
I have a Ficus Tineke that I think I should repot now lol and an Exotica that was just nottttt doing well, I was fed up until I put her into stratum and then Pon. I think they need more water than most would think. Also! My Exotica was *supposed* to be Argyraeus but when I bought it online they sent the wrong one. I’m not sure which is easier but I like how dark the Argyraeus is 💚🪴 🌱
My oldest plants have come back from the brink a few times lol… my Adonsonii just made a comeback from a wet stick cutting! It was a big plant growing up a pole and I just ignored it to death last summer 🤦🏽♀️ I’m happy to report he’s put out 4 new growth points and is almost ready to go back into a real pot 💚
My oldest plant is a Ficus Elastica or rubber tree also. I got it as a gift from my daughter a couple of decades ago. My plants go out on a shaded porch every summer. That is when this plant grows. It gets a trim when I take it inside. I have to make it fit the space. If needed, it also gets a trim in the spring. This is also to make it fit. I propagated the cuttings. It usually works better in the spring when we go into the growing season. I also have a Monstera Deliosia. Mine is not that old, but it is a monster space wise. My Scindapsis is a little older. For years it stayed about the same, but finally I am getting nice growth. This was a fun video for me as you covered plants I have and know. Thank you.
My Scindapsus (sp?) would not grow. I put out a call to my local plant community and a lady gave me several clippings. I am waiting for them to root, so I can combine and make one huge plant. My Ficus Burgundy simply would not grow big leaves. The leaves I got were slender and small. I sold it. But my Monstera I chopped and propped and gave my established plant to my Sister.
I have a pretty large collection of plants but not one Monstera or Ficus.😳 Your Monstera glow up is really impressive! Both plants are beautiful, but I just don't have the space. It was fun to see your OGs.💚
I notice you touch your plants a lot in the videos. I just did some basic research regarding touching plants. My conclusion was it stresses them and even prevents blooming. Have you researched this? Thoughts? I know they like classical music best and I think it’s cool they can sense their owner coming home up to 2km away!
That Monstera story is so beautiful - I don't think you should feel _so_ guilty about stealing a tiny node, but I understand that you don't want to condone the behaviour hehe, However, look at the beautiful result of sharing (even secret sharing ;) )
Hey friendo! I’m chiming in with that Becca is a politically engaged and informed individual - she shares things on Instagram from time to time - BUT on her plant RUclips channel she makes videos about plants. 🪴 Take care, keep showing empathy, and happy growing 🌱

For those three plants, we need patience until we feel happy seeing them grow beautifully, that's what I feel 💚🤞💚

I love this so much! I'm excited to someday have plants that I can say I've owned for decades.

I enjoyed watching this video. Monstera deliciousa is definitely fun to watch it grow from small into a beast.
For sure! It’s a special experience.
I love this video idea ❤️

Great video! Where did you get those big planters?
Just local plant nurseries!
some are my plants are over 40 years old

I’m cutting my exotica it’s been leggy and leaves been curling.
Definitely give it a chop!
Hi Becca
Hello!! ☺️
💚
💚💚💚🙂

lol! Definitely very true. Crazy what can come from a single node ☺️
Your bored life! I don't expect you to add your political beliefs in your videos but damn .... are you in a frigging bubble!
