This is amazing. The background is beyond amazing, because you covered up all those lines and brought out even more atmosphere in the piece. It fits the season without going overboard about it. I love the pop of orange, and that one blueish curtain in the otherwise darkness of the house after the witch moved out. I think the thing that gives me the most creeps, and it's very subtle, is there is no bug, bird, or animal in the entire picture. I think the witch who lived in this simple little stump was a bad witch.
You're right. This fits the season but it's not overboard. There are lots of pretty pumpkin pictures appearing on Instagram but I'm sick of all the ghoulish images. Soon we will be seeing wonderful Christmas pictures.
Wow, just incredible. You took this simple drawing and turned it into a masterpiece of light, color, and mood. I admire your artistic vision and abilities, Chris.
Such gorgeous vibrant colors that bring the pictures to life. Almost like one could walk right into that forrest and explore that little cottage. Thank you for sharing your work with us. Have a lovely day!
I found it very interesting to see you paint with the pencils on top of the white POSCA. With this technique you can use the colored pencils almost as if it were an opaque medium (such as gouache or acrylic). Fascinating!
I really want to color in my own books just like Chris. I know I will not reach her level of skill for many years, or ever. But where do I start? I've looked up color theory, shadowing it's not doing ANYWHERE. Everything just seems to go over the same old basic nonsense. I need detailed instructions of how to create the create the depth that she does with layers and layers of color. Can someone point me in the right direction? I have picked up allot just from watching her videos, but I want more. Please help. U tube is letting me down in this area.
The depth and realism you create is amazing. You are a highly talented artist.
Радостно смотреть как вы раскрашиваете. Восторг. Спасибо за урок.
