Would appreciate if you included connecting the unit hose from the new switch to the dishwasher. Did you need an adapter or clamp!

The new fill valve slides right into the existing rubber hose from the dishwasher and then you tighten it down with a hose clamp.

I have a Miele model G2472 , do you know if the water inlet valve is the same one as you replaced in this video ? I cannot find it listed on the website for the replacement you used from Amazon , thanks

The one from Amazon is a generic fill valve that works really well for the Miele dishwasher but only cost about $25.
The original equipment Fill valve is about $220

Thank you for posting this video... Very helpful. Do you know the size of the brass elbow connector you mentioned?

Nice video. I had a no fill problem with my Miele as well. I first tested for voltage at the valve end before I attempted valve replacement. There was no voltage. My problem was the 2 prong connector at the other end of the replacement Miele valve you pictured. It was burnt out. There was water dripping on it from that steel cap at the bottom of the dishwasher. The cap is to cap off the hole for some modular water softening device used over seas if I recall. I used some bullet connectors and tied the connector high up in the dishwasher so if it leaked it wouldn’t drip on it again.

I have same problem; no power at valve. Replaced control board, pressure switch, temperature sensor, ball valve. Still, now power. No error codes stored. About to put my Miele Dishwasher down to the street for trash pickup. LOL. Going to give it one final look and check the connectors you mentioned. By the way, some old posts talk about how "great" Miele support is. Forget about it. Spent several hours, going in circles with people who are nothing more than over-seas, low-pay "tech support". When you finally get to a real tech, they tell you they're not allowed to answer questions for customers, only field techs and authorized repairmen. Oh, and, seems like there's nothing anywhere on the internet about this particular problem, I.e., no power at valve.

@@scottymac734 I would think you would have saw the connector with all the work done. The connector is underneath. I the laid the washer on its side and removed the bottom plate that contained the float for the leak shut-off. It is a white 2- prong wire connector . It was completely burnt up . I could not miss it. Good luck and let us know if it was your problem.

I had the same problem. Connector looked burnt out, I replaced it with a screw terminal. I tested the voltage and there was voltage when the diswasher was on, but it was tens of volts below. I will continue searching for any corroded parts.

the water comes in on my miele, but it does not stop. Would you think that water inlet went wrong or perhaps the control panel has been damage..
the machine is 5500 miele and about 8 9 years old

Does the change to the non Miele water valve replacement give up any additional water leak protection that the original parts had?
I get the $$ dollars piece which is great. Thank you for you help from your videos.

The Miele fill valve has better leak detection.

    • @roboticjunkies3914

I don't understand how leak detection in better when the 2 wire fill valve is all that is connected? What do you think gives the Miele oem intake valve this additional ability?

@@QuickAndEasy5MinuteAppliance Can you explain, what you stated, the original valve has "better leak" control? I don't understand how this would occur over the replacement version that is a generic fill valve.

We don’t have a long supply line, it’s just a fixed line that is a couple of inches long. Do we need to buy a supply line?

    • @QuickAndEasy5MinuteAppliance

I think a longer supply line will make it much easier👍

Why not show that last important step of connecting the new valve to the hose into the dish washer? Otherwise, thanks for the video
