- Today is an interview with London Documentary Photographer Claudia Leisinger, part of my ongoing conversations with photographers hoping to gleam some great pro photographer advice for you.
Claudia and I were students together back in 2007 studying the Masters Degree in Photojournalism & Documentary Photography at the London College of Communication (LCC), so it was great to catch up with her and I begin the interview by asking her about one of her early student projects.
Claudia has worked making documentary portraits as a documentary photographer, with charities and organisations making environmental photography for groups such as Extinction Rebellion and as a general freelance photographer making portraiture. But like most documentary photographers it is her personal photography projects were her skills and talent have shined through.

I very much enjoyed this conversation with you Ed, but then that is nothing new because I have enjoyed every conversation we had in the last 17 years😄. It is so cool to have you, creative whirlwind of a photographer, for friend. Pure inspiration _love + thank you, claudia
That's very kind of you Claudia! Thank you for being my first ever cellar guest! 🏅
Great interview Ed. Claudia is obviously a very special lady and a great photographer. Loved the bit when you both described how you both get so "lost", so focused on shooting images, to the extent that you forget that you haven't eaten, had a drink, been for a wee for hours on end - I love being that "lost" - glad I'm not the only one lol
Thanks Nic, glad you enjoyed it and yes. It's a thing isn't it? Zoning out! Ha
Yes - when you get to my age you find yourself doing it all the time lol
