Carbon Fibre Heat Shield Install - KTM 1290 SuperDuke GT

Installing the Maxi Carbon exhaust heat shield cover on my gen 1 SuperDuke GT. More carbon parts/mods to come!

I just put on a Delkevic 8" stubby carbon fiber slip on and the sound and look for the money is spot on regarding my Superduke GT. This heat shield would compliment it perfectly, however I'm tempted to get a Arrow midpipe. As an aside I would think it maybe a neat project to wrap the stock heat shield in carbon fiber just of the look but not sure if you could save money doing so.

What about insulation from the heat? Is it better than stock shield?
