So 100 farmers were asked what they like to do in their spare time. 95 didn't understand the question. The other 5 didn't know what day it was 🤣😂
Haha! Best comment!
True :D
Very true
UFO Spotted in hoovereing fields in Sask.. bald hyperactive Alien found who pretends to be a farmer...
Great shots Mike, awesome rig ..
S
LED lights over each nozzle spay pattern, . . . . NNNNIIIIICCCCEEEEE!!!!!
That thing is like a mobile city going through the field! Those lights are awesome
Lile something someone might expect to see in Las Vegas 😉
Was gonna say the same thing. Really cool!
Pantera are realy populair here in the flevopolder netherland
It is possible to drop the boom ahead of switching it on
You have to change a setting or 2 in the headland menu
I have never seen one in Dronten, mostly Agrifac or Delvano
@@deletekip3425 same, seen 1 I think but that was some time ago
That things got nothing on the 500 gal 50' boom with 5 section manual solenoid and foam marker I pulled with a Farmal 560 back in the 80's.... LOL
five sections on 50', that's good! I got two on 95'!
By golly, we used to have to flip electrical switches, all the while sterrin and gearin.
The sprayer I had was a 100 gallon 3 point hitch and then I up graded big time to a 300 gallon self leveling Hardy big sprayer back then LOL
Solenoid valves and foam markers? what is that, some kind of alien technology? I remember a manual mechanical selector valve with left and right and centre right on the sprayer that you had to reach around to turn on or off. And forget foam markers, I had to stand up and try and see the track left by the gauge wheel on the last pass or look down the field and judge 70' out from the last tractor tracks.
The sprayer dad gave me in the mid 60's 24' boom 50 gal barrel on JD-A and around 1,000 acres....how many acres can it cover on 8 hrs
😎 Coolest thing I've ever seen 😎😍
Been following your content since the beginning with the tractor pull off. Your content never ceases to amaze me dude! One of the funniest farmers on youtube. Keep up the good work good sir and congrats on the engagement and best wishes to the two of you!
Thanks Jeremy!
For some reason we’re not getting a review on the R4060!!
His brother won't let anyone else drive it... 🙂
i don't blame him i wouldn't either
Hi Mike.. Happy Friday to you... That light package is incredible.. Thank you for the lunch time video.. ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Hi Mike...nice equipment.leds lights are awesome.
Ya they sure are!
@@matthewgrisnich1769 Agreed. 👍✔
Boom lights for the win. I remember not being able to spray past dusk and using orange foam to help see my line. With everything being gps now a days, we still like to manual steer when we can
Getting spray drift through my my I pad wow
Every RUclipsr: I’ve got a drone
Mike: I have got a 4x4 truck
I am different 😉😂
Hahaha I would of worded that wind a lil different lmao. But ya its a bloody chit show here too buddy. I had 1 day to spray with no wind so far!!😡
Mike! Mike! U have a spaceship in your field!!!!!
That is freakin cool!
The huge Hardi Rubicon 2,200 gal. (9,000 ltrs) sprayer has an under boom lighting kit as well www.hardi-us.com/sprayers/selfpropelled/rubicon/booms#nav
"The under-boom blue cast lights provides a clear and non-invasive view to the end of the boom, and for visual conformation of functioning nozzles."
Looks like the folded up/transporting visibility is miles up on the Apache
Pantera??? I didn't watch the whole video but are you saying Brian listens to Pantera while spraying?
I was hoping for real Pantera music included in the video. Spraying at night not my cup of tea. Good vidja!
That's some really great footage Mike! You were close enough to smell it... 😂. You could actually hear the nozzles cycling- what frequency do they oscillate?
PS- I really like the lighting schemes lately- let's face it, LED's have gotten really cheap and last forever, so no reason not to brilliantly illuminate modern equipment...
Why do you guys use jugs? Just for ease of use? We use totes for everything around our farm. Also run sealed measuring tanks so we are never exposed to the chemical when mixing. Just curious. I know every farmer does it different.
Easier..cheaper...
Dont have to buy multiple pumps, don't have to worry or mess around with pump calibrations, don't have to worry about cleaning teh pumps or forgetting too
.
Dont have to worry finishing one tote, loosing prime just enough to run a few litres with out actually pumping them.. Less screw ups and don't have to worry about having power to run them and easier to top up loads... 😂..
Just 2 jugs of that and 4 of that and go.
Congratulations Mike for 50k❤️
Cool lights
Do you ever get mistaken for a UFO????
Now you would benefit from our sunny nights.
What are your main weeds to control, grass's or broadleaf
Have you tried a rogator sprayer?
I hate them, at least I hate our 20 year old I254
Looks like an UFO 🤣, greetings from Gernany
Hi Mike really like your channel for sure. Plse kept them videos coming down here to Illinois.
I wonder if the pantera on farm sim 19 has boom lights??
Seriously looks like a plane on a runway taxiing to take off lol
Hello Mike. You have previously mentioned a "hard pan" in a field - that the soil layers are so compressed, that the tractors do not sink. Have you examined how much loss you have, because the roots of the plants can also not break through and grow further down for nutrients and water?
So typically a “Hard Pan” is just below the topsoil layer, roots don’t normally go that far down and the water can’t go through the pan either. It’s great for shallow cultivation because if a big machine loses traction they don’t dig a hole for themselves. In some swampier areas that have a pan you can break to pan to have natural drainage.
All those sprayer boom lites look awesome
I can't lie. I still have dandelions
What is the purpose for Pantera
Technically speaking it wouldn’t be too difficult to give it a wider stance would it? Extend the axles to increase stability?
I might come across a knob here I know fuck all about mechanics.. I do know that this European setup works better on their continent, smaller fields, high precision farming. It looks like it could use a wider stance on these big fields. Just my 2cts Mike keep on keeping on Loving your recent content mate!
That sprayer already has the wide stance kit on it, they also do a standard configuration and a hi-lift version.
Mike how can i get in touch with you thank you Mike

Thank you very much Mike i appreciate
It is June 21 today. Here is hoping you will celebrate Father’s Day with a little one.
Next year.
i love the work you do.
Dude that sprayer is pretty awesome. Mike would you give the “new” new holland sprayer a try??? I really like they front mount boom myself
I watch a few farmers around the county, and it seems that everyone is dealing with wind. And take all the time you need, believe it or not you need to have a life to keep sane. Thank for all you do.
Off question, what are you spraying for? Bugs, weeds, grower???
Why aren't you using shuttles? I would go insane with all the jugs.
Scroll down through the comments. Josh Bailey asked this question as well and Mike gave a really complete answer.
Hi Mike nice video love your videos greetings from SOUTH AFRICA👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Mike do you know about the brands Delvano and Agrifac?
Mike,,,, GO HOME. Your shift is over. Holy crap what would the neighbors think of you chasing the sprayer with your truck. You remind me of Reed Timmer XD seriously man go home now.
Hahah 😂, they already know I am crazy 🤷♂️
Mike, you are pretty normal compared to most nutsacks out there.
Thanks! 😂
for me as german I'm really upset about how fucked up this cab is so much plastic and old switches, disgusting
The Fendt Rogater is way better!
Hi Mike, really i don't have any idea what you Spraying right now? we start here Harvesting.
do all sprayers have lights on the booms like this?
No
True boss! If they are working, I’m working!
Why does that look fun...
Because it is
I'd spray at night just to enjoy the lights :) Thanks for sharing.
We all like watching what ever video you can put up, even if it only once a week/month.
The tech on equipment today has come along way, nozzles that turn off when crossing over sprayed GPS ground, amazing.
Yo mike, you need a drone and then go to the welkers farm channel and build the go pro he builds itll work way better here in sask
You can program the boom to go down when you go in too the tramline just before it turns on the product, so it is in the right position when its start spraying.
what nozzles are you running ,looks a nice pattern
👍👍🚜🚜💨
Great job, Mike. Good coordination and multi tasking skills. Thanks for sharing.
🤘PANTERA🤘
The aliens are coming.....the aliens are coming....says neighbor watching that o'clock in morning....
Those boom lights are so simple but incredibly effective. What mph is he spraying at Mike? Looks like a pretty good clip but being at night might make it look faster. Thanks for sharing. Have a good one!!😁👍
Mike, I hope you are in the work truck and not the new truck you just got
You are awesome Mike. Thanks for taking the time to show everyone Saskatchewan farming. You make Legend status.
That's impressive looking, thanks for making the video.
Been windy here all spring in SW Manitoba as well
So Mike, you are telling me, you guys make up 30k acres of chemicals for your sprayers by hand out of 2-3 gallon jugs? There's gotta be a better way than that haha!
🤔 No... More like 180k acres of jugs
Mike Mitchell Do the chemicals not come in bigger containers or is it simply more accurate to use smaller jugs ?
Thats crazy!
Do you guys have to worry about temperature inversion up there?
Boom lights who da thunk that up. Fantastic videos Mike Thankyou.
Here in Iowa we never spray at night never seen it done before . What I use on corn needs to be dry before the sun goes down
Wow those lights are very cool does CaseIH sprayers have lights?
Might be time for a drone Mike. Great video! Cool sprayer can’t wait for your run down of the sprayer.
Cannot believe you drive over your fields like that once my crops are planted only the sprayer goes down the tramline.
If it's just at 5 leaf or so, youl never know I was there in about 3 days. The sprayer cna go down it and to won't those tracks either.. If you do that at flag leaf, well now that's a different story
I said it once I will say it again. I want that machine just to drive up an down the road. Lol all them lights are freaking cool
It was only 42 last night in Saskatoon as I had to deliver in Edmonton yesterday lol 😂
that one spraying machine,,, bad boy love the lights really puts the product on the ground
Mike, you've never said why did you guys returned Amazone Tandemspritze UX 11201?
The video is uploaded to RUclips, but I might do that one over.. The wind was so bad you can't hardly hear me
Looks like a nice rig other than the fact the boom don't follow the ground very well. There are times the booms look 4 feet in the air?
mike one nice thing off night spraying is the wax layer on the plants are softer so better penetration of chemical
\
Booms look killer all lit up at night, seems to be nice running unit! Great footage man and get r done..
How’s the wedding planning going?
Middle name it's Elroy, trust me.. Thanks Mike..
Ya get that last nozzel spraying?
Do a review on the john deere r4060 sparyer
Be a good way to break in your new truck
I grow greens for a living here in Italy, the pace that thing is going through the field looks like lightspeed to me... amazing
Hello Mike from France 👍
I must say i really like the way that sprayer looks. Looking forward to a review. Hoping for a break in the weather Mike!!!
Love your videos. 👍👍👏👏😴😴
Mike, invest in a drone, you’d love it.
Too windy
russ snively, no. Mavic 2 - for example is wind resistant for 38 kph. Top speed of 72kph.
Larger drones will handle much more.
Great video. Thanks Mike.
My OCD was really kicking in on this video. Why were the outside nozzles not working?
Mine too! 😂
Wow that sprayer at night with those lights looks awesome 😎
Does the light go out if the nozzle gets blocked?
As far as I know the lights are always on. If you have a plugged nozzle you will know because yo wont see the water coming out. Main purpose of those lights is to illuminate the water I guess
Build something around the sprayers to protect them from the wind. Then you can spray in the wind.
Sawmiller Smith Dammann have the D-A-S bom to protect the spraying jet. www.dammann-technik.de/wp-content/uploads/2018/08/DAMMANN-technik_Prospekt_DAS_EN.pdf or www.dammann-technik.de/dammann-tracs/?lang=en
Does it have aim/sharpshooter on it
Mike I enjoy the video's, I'd like to see what the operator's saying when your driving around him lol
Haha
Lights are way awesome!
Lights?.... amazing!
Mike you do what suits you best not easy juggling all those balls in the air .You need to relax at weekends and give yourself time to rest and recover. Love the video's.. have a good weekend and stay safe
Farmers don't get weekends, if it is go time you go go go.
That sparyer looks good better than the other one you had .
How many sprayers do you have?
