How do we get around the abuse and misinterpretation of Joel 2 to be fulfilled by ONE prophet when the text shows otherwise? Also, when Acts 2 renders the primary fulfillment of Joel 2, as shown in Peter’s sermon on the day of Pentecost…
Ellen White is in the line of Bible prophets. It doesn't mean she is the last one. There might be some others in the future. But God chooses them. We have to test them. Joseph Smith fails the test. Just to start with by saying the Bible is full of errors and the initial "vision" where he was told that all the churches were wrong. God has been leading His people for years. I have told LDS people in the past that if you take away Ellen White from the Seventh-day Adventist Church, nothing changes. We don't base our teachings on her. They are all found in the Bible. For the LDS without Joseph Smith, they have nothing. They base everything on his writings.
Joel 2 is the chapter of "The Day of the Lord". What "ONE prophet" you are talking about. Tell you the specific verse, and the writhing's of EGW you are discontent with. This will help people to answer your question. Joseph Smith is different from EGW in the following ways: (1) A true prophet is always protected by God to complete work given to him/her. (EGW was protected by God from the hand of Lucifer himself, who was trying to kill her in a train after she was given the VISION of "The Great Controversy"; on the other hand, Joseph Smith DIED in violence before he could finish work given to him, as he claims.) (2) A true prophet does not want a kingdom on this earth. EGW always waited Jesus' Second Coming. While Joseph Smith wanted to build his own kingdom on this earth, which cost him his life. (3) A true prophet will not want to hold office of a government on this earth. EGW did not hold any saccular office. While Joseph Smith was a mayor. He even was a candidate for the Presidency of USA. God did not want it; he was destroyed. (4) EGW only amplified the Bible. While Joseph Smith ADDED and REMOVED from the Bible. The SDA church I was in believe sister White's writing is over the Bible an it is all right to teach lies instead of Bible truth. The church members would not even read the Bible where sister White's writing is not in line with the Bible. The whole church dose preach sister White's writing . 1 Kings 6 : 31 doors are for entering the Oracle ( Most Holy Place) in the temple not a vail . you can't find 1 verse in the diescription of any Temple's having a vail to enter the Most Holy Place. Leviticus 4 : 22-35 no blood of the individual's sin offering enters into the Holy Place to be sprinkled before the Most Holy Place .that comes only from sister White's writing PP an is completely opposite what the Bible says but no one seems to want to fallow the Bible.

I trust deeply in the writings of the prophet E G White…these books teach me how to truly trust and believe in the holy Bible as the true and solid word of God I see myself as a sinner and sin in it’s true hue I see the righteous Jesus , and yearn to be more like Him

The Bible says for the temple doors in all the descriptions an even says. 1 Kings 6 :31 doors are for entering the Most Holy Place.
