Tom is great guitar player. I was in front of stage as 2nd row at DB live. His guitar strings was cut during he sing China Grove, but he adjust for the guitar tuning. AMAZING!

@stronghorse22 Kind of like why bands have 2 (or more) guitarists - different "parts": lead and rhythm. Check out the Allman Brothers for a great example. One is providing the beat, the other fills in like a rhythm guiitarist does.
