I would love your take on RS3 ownership honestly
This is part of the reason why I like watching you. Objective opinion. Too many guys out there including RUclips creators always think that the car they have right now is the best car. 🙄
I came from a Mk7.5 GTI to my B8.5 SQ5. I thought it would be a perfect replacement with more space, nicer interior, and a better engine. It was for the first year. But since then, I’ve been on the hunt for a smaller car again. I miss the nimbleness, ease of parking, and character that the GTI had over my SQ5.
Not once had I ever found your vid boring - including this. Your perspective is understandable. I'm currently in the process of trading in my 19 Mini Countryman S ALL4 & 2017 Q7 Exclusive edition to a CPO 2020 Audi Sq5 w/approximately 20,500miles - decision based on financial constraints and needs. No negative equity for the Mini and $8K neg equity on the Q7 - it's better than going down the losing repo road. I'm sending the Countryman tomorrow and Q7 the following day in exchange for the SQ5. My point is, everyone have their reasons. I'll always be a supporter of your channel Eli
I think you’d be very disappointed with an s3. I agree that new Audis lack character. I’d say an s3 has no character. It’s just a flashy a3. Everytime I’ve driven one I’ve said to myself, how do people actually like this car. Rs3 on the other hand is an amazing car, especially the 8Y
Having owned B8.5, B9, and B9.5 SQ5s, I can say with 100% confidence that the B8.5 is the best driving version of the three.
I hear you man! I've got a 2024 rs3, and I enjoy my b5 s4 a lot more. Rs3 is a nice reliable daily at least.
I love my b8.5 SQ5. It really is the most amazing car Ive driven. Currently stage one with full awe touring exhaust. Looking to go stage 2 with wheels tires and suspension by end of this year.
With that exclusive exterior color? These new wheels looks fantabulous!! Eli. You know I currently own an S4 (B9) and an allroad (B8.5) along with a couple of other makes. I, weirdly enough have been lusting over a B9.5 SQ5. The crappy thing that gets me is the fact that, Audi should have given the same seats as the S4/S5/RS5. Since I'd hate to lose my power lumbar and massaging function from my S4. Only reason I've been checking out the SQ5s is because I have grandpa duties lol
I had a B8 and currently drive the B9 SQ5. I prefer the B9.
Had the 8.5 and 9 sq5 as well as a few b7s4. in a s3 now, gotta say its more engaging than sq5. I really enjoy it. I think the platform would embrace your ownership. granted not as practical as the SQ5, but thats a trade off that has been worth it for me.
I knew I wasn’t the only one, The B8,C7,D4 Audi generation always held a higher standard to me. No hate on the B9,C8 generations of Audis but something is missing.
Sold my B9 S5 a few months ago too and haven’t looked back. The B9’s just don’t do it for me either. They’re incredibly capable and the perfect daily driver, but was always wishing for a bit more excitement. I vote a RS or AMG for the next car! 😁
I feel ya on the B9's, I went from a B8.5 A4 --> B8.5 3.0T Q5. Had my heart set on a B9 SQ5 or a B9 S5, but am glad I didn't. I ended up surprisingly with a CPO'd 2020 VW Arteon SEL-P R-Line and while the motor isn't as fun as the 3.0T I love the overall package that VW did. Look into the 2022+ models that have the DSG trans and slightly higher HP, kinda a lost model that didn't sell well bc of the price tag. The sportback makes it super roomy (like a smaller A7, but bigger A5) and the VAG connection makes it familiar when coming from Audi. I think after this I'll probably save up for a Porsche Macan Turbo/GTS, which is what I really wanted, but to get a low mileage one was out of the budget. Love the content and can't wait to see the Allroad buttoned up!
I totally get the B8.5 vs B9 feeling. That 3.0T V6 is a amazing engine, but it lacks character. I'm still loving the fact that this platform is supercharged in a sea of turbo 6s. It's not always about being the fastest thing on the road.
I had a long line of ownership with previous audi's and recently returned to the b9 sq5 after having a merc.
Wheels look good.

the color on the q7 wheels is so nice. Its almost a satin chrome.
