Despite all the DBZ games that have come out over the years, BT1 has the most badass and authentic Intro of all of DBZ games of the Franchise. BT2 and BT3 in my opinion still remains the most Unique and the best DBZ games in terms of content, quality and fanservices. And from the gameplay perspective aspects, these DBZ games that I mentioned are very close to the anime itself because of the Vibe and Charm, I don't know how to describe it but it was, and still is the most Unique DBZ experience you could have with the combat factor. (- Sheer amount de of characters - Transformations mid-battle (powering up and down) - Fusions mid-battle - Fast gameplay that has that "woah" feel - Tons of extra content - Story mode covering all sagas + movies - What If sagas - Shenron having permanent impact on game (character unlocks and whatnot) - Great tournaments that rotate availability - Edit characters with items (buffs) - 5v5 battles - Really Great and Epic Soundtracks - Destroyable environments - Entire stages could be blown up into their "destroyed" alternatives - Mission 100 being a great challenge - Artwork is 10/10 - Sound effects are great - Combat feels heavy and satisfying) Only Budokai 3, Infinite World and the Raging Blast 1 and 2 and all of PSP DBZ games except of Dragon Ball Z Evolution are still considered also very solid DBZ games, also the hidden gem that a lot of DBZ fans missed from PS2 Era of DBZ games is "Super Dragon Ball Z" which is also a real Unique and DBZ game, especially for the different gameplay aspects perspective.

But lol look now, years later, in 2019 and I’m in high school, and I just want to say nice job on getting this far! I’m now consistently doing cancel combos like never before. Back when I was growing up on budokai 1 And 2 I just did simple combos and looked for super moves, but now I’m flexible wit it🙏

I never thought Budokai 3 can be played like this! The last time I played this game was in 2005...I was 13 at the time and all I did was button mashing. I'll definitely pick up the HD Collection and practice these canceling techniques.

Just made me wanna try vegeta cancels cuz hes a bit quicker than goku and just as beast. especially where he can dodge gokus first two punches n actually punch in between gokus punches to land his own. Ok , I need major help , um I am stuck with the KKKK-cancel ,I do it ,and then I have to cancel when the high kick part comes ,so I do , KKKK and I tap A(xbox) for guard but it just doesnt cancel , there is even no animation,pls help ?

I had to like this video simply because of the Legacy of Kain background music. LOL Good choice, and thanks for the informative video. I needed a refresher since I haven't played in so long. I have a buddy who spams ki cannon with Uub on the 360 version. I wanted to show him some true skill tactics since he thinks that makes him awesome. He spammed me even more once I started remembered some strings, as his melee game is basic. LVL 99 Uub's base ki will do that to you though. Oy! I was using a base character because he didn't level anyone else btw.
Wonder what Veteran Budokai players you are talking about cause I could kill anyone with cancels blindfolded and always do. No real Veteran player uses Concentration, we all play default Breakthrough which gives all characters identical stats. This costs 3 Ki bars to teleport and even if you played against a so called so Called veteran who plays customs and uses Concentration. A fast 20 hit combo is easily attainable. You just haven't played against actual good players yet.

You have to learn combos yourself, they are not listed in your skills. Unfortunately the game does not tell you all of the combos only your Death Moves and Physical Skills/Transformations (etc.).
