It's quiet, you can see stuff, and there is no danger of the engine not starting! Plus the wolves are attracted to the dog scents.

It was great to get a ride through the bush without having any engine noise! It felt like I was there.

Glad you wrote your comment. I try to film it that way. I detest the sound of a snow mobile or ATV.

I'm so happy to see you back on the trail (and to recognize your voice) Am I right if I say your dogs are skinnier than last winter? Anyway, I enjoy the video, as usual.

A couple of them are fat! But the black ones are always lean. They eat an enormous amount. Glad you enjoyed the video!

Ok forgive my ignorance but you do not learn if you don’t ask questions and we are always learning from birth to death. I live in Australia so I will never have an interaction with Wolves so can you please explain why are you trapping Wolves? Thank you for your time in wandering this if you do.

There are lots of reasons why I trap wolves. The challenge is the main one for me. The side benefits are: good PR with cottage goers and hunters. Wolves eat a lot and they eat everything. They don't often attack people but that is because the bold ones get killed early. The nervous/shy ones get to breed. The pelts also sell. They make great wall hangers, parka ruffs, etc. Think of wolves as giant wild dogs, on steroids, that travel/hunt in groups. They are always hungry, always looking for food. They kill anything from moose and bears to hares. The moose are killed one bite at a time, often over hours/days, as the animal bleeds out. They often kill/eat each other. Do you want them around your place uncontrolled? They cover a huge territory. You think they are gone and then they are there again. Hunting. Always hunting. That's why. Most people tell me to catch them all. I don't do that. But I do thin out the local packs. My bush includes wolves!
