    You can tell by his passing and decisions that he has high basketball IQ, he will most definitely be playing winning basketball in Dallas I have no doubt

      @@quetz6335he shot nearly 39% from three and you can see he’s comfortable from the corner, which the Mavs need. He also can attack close outs pretty well

      ​@@phuture9830shot 39% from 3 last year. Lobs don't win shit in the NBA. He will probably average 40% percent or better with Dallas. He can create more offensively than DJJ and most importantly he's not built like a twig he's actually very strong. I've seen his defense he's way more aggressive than DJJ. 55 got bullied by Bostons guards. If they couldn't get past him they would just move him out of the way because he lacks size.

      a steal ??? another bench player to the SF position? because DJJ is gone and he is the only one at that spot..so MAVS will have a 7 PPG player who shoots 38% from 3 and 44% on open shoots thats not enough for a team that wants to win a TITTLE...

      JOKIC the MVP / GOBERT the DPOY / WEMBY ROY and i bet that OKC was going to be a TOP 5 team in the WEST...

      @@jnthnmrry quantity isnt the same as quality...
      HE will get higher FG% due to the fact that he is going to play with LUKA who is NBA player who creates more open shoots to his teammates ( 5 more than Haliburton) but that doesnt mean they are good.
      LOOK at the game were KYRIE and LUKA didnt play against OKC during regular season.
      ALL MAVS shooters were shooting under 30%.

    An immediate offensive upgrade. I cringed every time DJJ drove into the paint with his head down just to fail most of the time. Naji will be swimming in opportunities with Lukai.

    I like his offensive arsenal. I know he's known for his defense but he's a true 3&D wing. Got handles, can shoot, and has some underrated finishing skills in the paint.

    Heard he averaged 14.9 pts & 8 rbs a game when he started 25 games in the 2022-2023 season. I like it.... Let's go!

    Nico is a beast! Our role players were too one dimensional on Offense. They weren’t consistently great at their roles typically and struggled putting the ball on the floor. Love the upgrades so far

    His passing/handles/finishing at the rim are all upgrades from DJJ. I love the guy but it is an upgrade in every way

      He shot 39% from 3. That is 3% above league average. He also wasnt playing with really any great playmakers to get him a lot of open 3s, like he will with luka and kyrie. Hes a very good 3pt shooter.

      MOST of his shoots were uncontested and assisted..
      MEANING he isnt really a good shooter.
      HE cant even shoot 35% from the left corner.
      HE will have a higher FG% from 3...but players like KENNARD and G.ALLEN those are really the great shooters MAVS should have signed,
      There is a reason why CELTICS could guard LUKA because they could leave the shooters alone...and with really great shooters around LUKA that wouldnt be possible.
      LAKERS got a better shooter from the DRAFT..

    Flight 55 will be missed, but I can see how this guy will do very well in Mavs, hope he will enjoy playing there.

    I’m convinced that the Mavs front office told DJJ to take the Clippers deal because Dallas knew they were going to acquire Naji and Klay. Adding Spencer just made them bulletproof. If injuries occur they still have Grimes Hardy and Exum. Tremendously deep talent of offensive and defensive players!

      @@TheMavsBlog naji is uncanny at the buzzer and desperation heaves. he hit a ton of them in college and with the pels. if you have time and are bored it might be fun to look up. i'd love to know the actual percentage. for some reason he's automatic at the buzzer. you can see a bunch just in this reel

    I immediately noticed he can play a little point-forward with his decision making and handle is definitely above average and better than Djj we gone miss the air attack but our offense just became a little more dynamic

    In a 2 on 2 Grimes and Marshall woukd beat THJ and DJJ becuase they are better ball handlers shooters and passers. .. Dallas has improved

      Definitely but naji is more versatile and better overall. Which is what our offense was lacking.

      I dunno this seems like an immediate upgrade, they're very similar players except Naji looks to have a much more pure jumpshot, better handles, better vision, better passing, better finishing inside. He just doesn't have those insane flight 55 hops

      No hate to DJJ but he has always been a bag chaser, he knew other teams would be able to offer him more than the Mavs so he went for it

      It was DJJ's fault he switched agents from Aaron Turner to Rich Paul this causes friction with The Mavs as they have to wait along with other teams 15 days (which will be July 11) to get signed. He can't officially make an agreement till then and The Mavs weren't willing to wait so they signed Marshall who I think has more upside!

    Apparently Dallas signed him because they knew they wouldn't be able to sign DJJ but in my opinion Naji should've been the first choice to began with.

      @@TheMavsBlog not taking anything away from Djj but playing with Kryie and Luka got him like this they got him those open 3s. Physical wise Naji is a beast. Sadly that's what DDJ lacked against Boston he had length but got pushed around. Naji gonna get a lot of open shots too and I love his energy.

There's a difference between a fan only of you're team and a fan of you're team and the NBA because I actually watch as much basketball as I can so I've seen Naji alot this year. To add what you already said he also can't finish at the rim whatsoever he does this random acrobatic layups and dunks but he can't do any of it consistently him and PJ both have issues making they're layups 😅 everyone's like DJJ is so good on defense blah blah blah. He's good obviously but against Boston he got punked man he literally got pushed out of the way. If you gotta beat Boston you need STRONG DEFENDERS that actually lift weights 😂 like you said Naji can create and finish. He shot almost 40% from 3 last season. He plays damn good defense and will put up better numbers than DJJ. I love DJJ but man he's gonna struggle at the clippers when he realizes it different than he's used to. They gonna expect a lot out of him.

      Offensively it's a given. He's a better shooter and shot creator. He might not be as good defensively but he's definitely a more balanced two-way player.

      This is the DJJ replacement. Klay Thompson is the THJ replacement, Grimes is the Josh Green replacement. All upgrades, Nico Harrison deserves a medal

      He is a very good and strong defender but maybe not as quick as djj but also wont get bullied as much by someone like brown or tatum.

      he did it a lot for the pels. more than you'd think. he guarded steph, kyrie, lebron, etc. all the time. he's super long, smart, and tough. not a great vertical athlete but he's quick for his size

      There were several defensive highlights - do you have eyes? Highlights for guards and wings are usually offensive as well.
