@@F2pPlayerKing Yes, I want Klay too. I wrote to Nico after lose final game 1 😆. Klay will be perfect fit for team. He knows winner aura and how to made impactful shoot. Last trade lane and this summer off-season give me shivers since 2004, 2006 and 2011 😆. I believe next 10 years is ours 🤞🏼

I didn't know he had playmaking skills like that. If his shooting is just decent, we're going to love him because the rest of his game is really well rounded.
i ain't never seen djj pass like that lol... + for what i've seen he punishes switches, unlike Derrick, of he sees a small guy on him HE GOES TO WORK. love djj and we gon feel his loss but naji CAN be better than him
We got a whole lot stronger with Klay, Grimes and Marshall. That rotation game finna be crazy
@@macmac4657not really. Quentin grimes is not good and klay can’t play defense worth a dam anymore and yall startin 5 consists of 3 defensive liabilities.
@@marcusfrm6263 klay is not borderline defensive team anymore, but he aint a liability, hes a decent/good defender. The only problem is we dont have a poa defender for the starting lineup, but thats a problem for Kidd to figure out

No its because he was slightly cheaper and is more well rounded than djj. also locked up many superstars/stars this sesson so he can come up big when needed and knocks down more 3’s

The passing... Oh my goodness... the work Nico has done so far this offseason...
I've been a fan of Naji's since his days at Xavier - The Dallas fans are going to love this guy, he's a fan favorite wherever he goes. He's relentless on D and is a deft passer on O. I think he's strongest offensively when driving to the hoop because he can slash and score, but he always quick with the extra pass option. On top of that he's a great teammate with tons of positive energy. Just watch, he's a great catch for Dallas
He's better than PJ and DJJ when it comes on creating his own shots. Definitely an upgrade!

I know they are just highlights, but his passing, handles, and finishes are impressive. We may (or may not) lose defense by losing F55, but it looks like we gain offense.
He is long, has really active hands and feet, great defensive motor and versatility to guard 1~4. Offensively his shooting looks sound, he can attack the close-out and has some court vision.
At 26 years old and a friendly contract, he seems to be a really great bargain pick-up. A versatile defensive specialist who seems to be Good-At-Doing-Basketball-Things™.
Not gonna lie, I'm gonna miss those insane lobs to DJJ, but he seems like a good replacement. He looks stronger and more fundamentally sound overall.

Undrafted out of Xavier...lost track of him as a two-way player but as Zion signed with Pels, got to see some games. He is bigger than Jones and think he brings a little attitude and provides a different "type" of flexibility during late quarter substitutions. Good for Naji. Go X.
I'm gonna trust Nico on this one even tho I wish DJJ hadn't changed agent. He hasn't made even one move on the roster that had me shout "WTF" like Donnie did every summer.

I really like him already. He's like a wing version of Dlive and Gafford, energy and hustle guy have a quick release shot, decent ball handling and playmaking that I think better than DJJ. I really hope him and Grimes will be a great players for the Mavs. Good job Nico.
Okay yeah DJJ will always have my respect but Naji got my hopes up right now. Seems like his play style is exactly what we needed. Gonna be a fun year with the shooting, just need to get another stretch big with rebounding

Get pick up by us (Mavs) I was kinda skeletal on losing DJJ but with the addition of Marshall and Thompson we have two 3 and D guys. We’re definitely one of the winners in free agency.

Naji is an upgrade it appears. Just a more versatile defender and “perhaps” a better three point shooter. We will see but he was terrific last year. We will better be able to defend Tatum/Brown type wings. At least for a year we have Grimes, who is a down and dirty point defender we haven’t had in awhile. Looks good. We are stacked. Like the entire west it appears.
BTW terrific work Hank. You are truly the best at this. Never knew I just preferred to watch POSITIVE Mavs highlights until you started making videos. I guess it’s in the word HIGH LIGHTS.

How old is he? bro has a decent bag that running floater looks deadly I can’t lie. His shooting form is great no crazy wasted motion. passing look decisive and quick. He looks like a starter here! Let’s move Josh Green now.asap.
He looks good, there are similarities definitely between him and DJJ, although his offensive bag looks deeper and he looks to be a better passer. He should fit in nicely, especially with his activity on the floor.

I said last year the pelicans had 4 players teams would love to have on their roster. Two of them are now on different rosters (Naji and Dyson). Herb and Trey are the other two. Trey is basically an athletic 6’8 klay Thompson and herb is this generations Scottie Pippen. If I’m the pelicans my starting lineup is Murray, Herb, Trey, Zion, ???… don’t know what they’re doing about paint defense… should’ve made a play on Nic Claxton, Jarrett Allen or even bol bol to at least have some height to change shots and matchup with Wemby.

They were wing heavy. Still are even after losing Marshall and the Aussie kid.
Underrated pick up, much better defender than DJJ. Sad we lost DJJ in free agency tho…

DJJ was overrated to be honest 2 things he clearly had was defense and a lob threat but his shooting improved because of the open looks he was able to get off of Luka and kyrie… same with exum is not that his 3pt shot improved that much it is still slow and he needs to set it up just like DJJ but the shots are so open that they can take their time shooting it just like a practice shot.
PJ too although I heard he is fundamentally tweaking the way he sets up his shot, he is too slow and when properly contested he fails, we have to take into consideration that some of these guys, especially on the perimeter, are feeding off of luka double teams and blitz. Same with the centers the way Luka controls drop coverages makes them almost beat Wilts consecutive FG record aka Daniel Gafford. The Mavs have to take this into consideration and although some fans might fall for the hype train some of these guys ain’t worth the money, the same happened with some of lebron’s teammates where people thought they were good and the moment some other team overpaid them they showed their true colors.

Seems like he is a step slower than DJJ as POA defender, but still gets steals with his strength and hands. Better post defense it appears though.
Assuming Mavs gets Klay for Green & Maxi, I can see this closing defensive lineup:
Grimes
Thompson
Marshall
PJ
Lively
That’s pretty scary for the opposing team.

a training camp and season of practice with kyrie and shammgod will tighten that handle up.
