Black Dragons are the coolest. The definition of don't judge the book by its cover. About the Vulkan artifacts; there is a theory that, as a perpetual, there might be just enough of his DNA on them, or they have it encoded into them. Btw. There is a cool dynamic between successor chapters and other marines, but I'm still waiting for a book where two Salamanders successors cooperate in a campaign, or towards a common goal, that would be the most badass book of the year. Imagine Black Dragons finding kindred spirits among the Dark Krakens and Space Drakes, discovering they're the same at the core desiptite all their differences, internal cultures and doctrines. How awesome would that be?

Both of which are unconfirmed to be salamanders successors (but unconfirmed in the GW way where they go "oh which chapter these guys come from is unknown" *wink*) and those two are the storm giants and black dragons.
The only good people in 40k. A salamander is the kind of guy who carries a fallen guardsmen home so he can be shown the proper respect. There's too many chapters to count, but of the ones I've seen, the Salamanders are my favorite. In stark contrast to most of the setting, where everyone is a flavor of evil, the Salamanders fully embrace that knightly aspect Marine armor holds, and fight tooth an nail to save as many human lives as they can. They represent the finest of humanity, not just our ability to wage war, but our capacity for compassion towards our fellow man. A shining flame standing defiant amidst the darkness- I can really get behind that.
I'd really love an ultramarine video, the intricacies of some of their lore is great and it really pulls them away from the vanilla tag they get left with so often
I unironically enjoy the literal endless number of "technically compliant" successor chapters they have. The idea of high recruitment plus tactics that conserve lives mean they need to splinter off into new chapters with new home worlds and cultures
@soffren yeah, a big part of why I like the ultramarines is that they have the biggest resource pool arguably, with a neato endless number of successors to call on or drawn soldiers from, and a realm of 500 prosperous worlds from which they can draw resources, each having their own standing army aswell that are more competent than the standard pdf
The thing I love about the salamanders is that they act like how the "angels" of the emperor should, by bringing hope to the commoners of the imperium.
Vulkan's breaking speech to Curze about him being the least of the Primarchs puts a comment from @pancreasnowork9939 about Tarasha Euten being "completely unfazed by Curze's shit," into context.
speaking about the salamanders loving what lies behind them reminds me of the scene in the anime Fairytail where the guild master is fighting a dragon( Ironically)he knows he can't beat and he tells the dragon " I know i can not defeat you but i will never let you get pass me, because my brats ( as he veiws his guild members as his children) are behind me!" always brings a tear to my eye when i thunk of that scene. the personification of a parents love and willingness to do the impossible just for the sake of their children. Vulkan and the salamanders are indeed those type of living individuals

USA, Pennsylvania here. Thsnk you guys for all you do. Yall are helping a total newbie get into the deep lore of 40k and its an awesome universe! Also Salamanders are the GOAT
I’m just happy with all the monster hunter references freaking awesome game franchise
The relictors needs to be discussed. They have some quite heretical weapons in their arsenal. As well as a confusing timeline
"this isn't a Vulcan episode"
Spends 30 min talking only about Vulcan and events of the heresy.
Finally starts talking about the various Salamander legions and what they're like, lists 2 and then says "there are others but that's for another day"
....was this really an episode about the Salamanders?....
Edit:.....so I wrote that at about the 1hr mark...well you sure got me at the end there 😅 these guys are my favorite so far so I'm really happy they're getting 2 episodes. Thank you guys!!!! Keep on rocking like you do!!!
This is me throwing the Adeptus Arbites in the topic ring.
Space cops y'all, seriously underrated.
I mean who doesn't love judge dredd?
They even take on Inquisitors when needed too! Truly fearless.
@@traehouston1141No one is above the emperor's judgement, brother.
First army I ever got, before I defected to the Orks, my vote goes to the Blood Angels.
Much love from the UK ❤
the 5th chaos god should get a youtube short or something done about him cause he's pretty interesting
I read the video length as 10 minutes, and I thought "Thats pretty short", then it corrected to an hour and ten and let out a sigh of relief
Honestly it is time the iron warriors got some love, they've kinda been on the back burner recently
Not so fun fact: there was so few salamanders remaining that until the ultima founding when guilliman came back the salamanders had 2 successor chapters. Both of which are unconfirmed to be salamanders successors (but unconfirmed in the GW way where they go "oh which chapter these guys come from is unknown" *wink*) and those two are the storm giants and black dragons.
No, Alpha legion did not give up, they just infiltrated the iron warriors.
The only good people in 40k.
A salamander is the kind of guy who carries a fallen guardsmen home so he can be shown the proper respect. Then right after he will start doing humanitarian aid all whilst crying because in his eyes he's a failure. He failed to save someone and he doesn't believe he should be forgiven for this one man dying. This will always weigh on his heart.
I *love* to hear more about the Iron Warriors!! They're one of my favorite traitor legions!
Blood Angels 🩸 because who doesn't love us some EDGE! "Hair Flip" Because tonight will be the night that i will fall for you Sanguiniessss!!!!! Taken before his time!!!! 😢
I’d love for y’all to go over the Votann since they’re the newest faction, and maybe even going over the Dornian heresy?
Yes, space dorfs with robutts!
22:07 you should’ve said “They look at him with a light glint in their eye and say Papa?? Then they turn back to the orks and say Dakka??”
I found y’all about 2 months ago, and I’ve got to say, y’all are perhaps my new favorite channel!
The salamanders should’ve been more of the poster boys other than then ultra marines
I’d love to see the Iron Warriors and the Ultramarines!
I hope you guys do an episode on the lamenters, they’ve been through way too much
I'd really love an ultramarine video, the intricacies of some of their lore is great and it really pulls them away from the vanilla tag they get left with so often
Saw this podcast, got hooked, watched every video and like a junkie I started reading the books now.
iron warriors definitely deserve their own episode
I can only pray that I live to see the day my lord Vulkan returns and I hear from my brothers in green the glorious chant.
Do you imagine if Vulkan were with the Tau?😂😂😂
The thing I love about the salamanders is that they act like how the "angels" of the emperor should, by bringing hope to the commoners of the imperium.
Yes another isyander and coda episode!
The Salamanders' theme song is "We Care a lot" by Faith No More.
The Alpha Legion never gives up. Soon you will be doing an Alpha Legion video without knowing how you wound up here!
Vulkan's breaking speech to Curze about him being the least of the Primarchs puts a comment from @pancreasnowork9939 about Tarasha Euten being "completely unfazed by Curze's shit," into context.
I want to see the iron warriors what makes them different from the imperial fists blood angels tho are cool too
My boys finally got their episode, I'm so happy!!! Vulcan lives!!!! Also Blood angles is my vote
Blood Angels because Sanguinius is a freaking bro, and they have my favorite successor chapter (the Lamenters)
I was a lamenter once............
For those we cherish, we die in glory! Would love to see the Lamenters be discussed eventually :)
speaking about the salamanders loving what lies behind them reminds me of the scene in the anime Fairytail where the guild master is fighting a dragon( Ironically)he knows he can't beat and he tells the dragon " I know i can not defeat you but i will never let you get pass me, because my brats ( as he veiws his guild members as his children) are behind me!" always brings a tear to my eye when i thunk of that scene. the personification of a parents love and willingness to do the impossible just for the sake of their children. Vulkan and the salamanders are indeed those type of living individuals
*VULKAN LIVES!!!!!!* *STOMP STOMP*
