Never forget Allan Houston during the Knicks1999 playoff run, he was amazing. Van Gundy put the whole responsibility on Houston during the finals, it was literally him against the whole team, Timmy, David, Avery Johnson, and Sean Elliott were too strong, that was the beginning of the machine called the San Antonio Spurs.

Allan Houston was elite long distances (three pointers, long 2 , above average free point shooter). I mean whenever he went up for a shot ( with he's high , sweet jump shut) you think , every shot, he pulled, it went, nothing but a net. One of my very favorite players. Also and post scriptum: can somebody consoled me. I said that Donte DiVincenso is a homeless ( not a poor man's version) of Al Houston. Cause I am , a Minny lifer. The Wolves ownership traded big Kat ( who was a model member of the team, he didn't do anything wrong, never complained. Played 90 percent of the game awesome. He didn't sayd anything publicly when Jimmy Butler banged his fiance). So I hope he wins a chip, with the Knicks. Also probably for me moves ( the trade) moves, the Knicks, the top favorites to win the East.

When don Cheaney was an assistant with the knicks i remember after they beat Atlanta in game 1 where he said yall see that move the lil crossover dribble he talked about his game where he said allan has moves yall havent seen but he wasnt as comfortable using them but it was there. He showed flashes and thats what pissed us knick fans off at times where john starks left it all on the court but we knew allan had mad game he just didnt trust himself . No, he had a complete offensive game. Inside, outside, mid-range, off-the dribble, pull up, whatever.

You gotta have more than 1 trick if you're gonna have a stat line of 53 points on 18 of 29 FG, 4 of 5 3ptFG, 13 of 15 FT against the champs. Make it make sense.

@@KR-ln5qw The Knicks tide up too much money in him. I’m not denying that he was a great offensive player but when you have one skill…. Why do you think Steph Curry started showing up in at least the top ten of all time because he stop just doing offense. If Michael Jordan was just offense Scottie and the Bulls would have maybe won one championship but definitely no dynasty or 2repeats

@@rasulsamad5860 And that’s why the Knicks couldn’t win a championship. The 100 million dollar man was just a 100 million expense no result

I would say Allan Houston was like Paul George minus a few dribbles and more of a perimeter player.
