Screen glitched / distorted during Windows 10 setup Hp Labtop
Can you Help ...
Thank you so much bro... I've same issue in same model and solved using same method ..... earlier I was roaming to 2 technicians....bt fixed by own ❤
So hard to find something as basic as this. Every time I went to the driver, it said it was the latest. But going to Intel, finding the latest driver and installing it fixed the problem. THANK YOU!!!
This saved me $100 + labor costs when I thought it needed a replacement screen. Thanks once again!
This “fix” worked perfectly and corrected my problem straightaway. Thanks so much as I’m not a “techy” person & feared I’d need a new laptop. Thanks again!!
I've been in the computer repair business for over 25 years and I can very proudly say that there's never been a computer I couldn't repair (not talking about formatting and installing Windows but actually tricky issues like this). There's only been two times when I was scratching my head for a couple days without a solution and both times I found the answer on your channel. Thanks for posting this and keep up the good work.
Thank you very much for the time spent to put these detailed instructions together!!! It solved my problem!!
Brilliant! I watched another video with the same problem solution. But that guy didn't get so far as to check the intel support website for an update and just rolled back Windows to version 10. Thanks, man!!
Thanks so much, this actually worked. I was almost thinking of getting a new Laptop. Keep up the good work
I had the exact problem and your instructions saved me a lot of agony and money. Thank you for putting out this video.
Glad it helped
This hack is such a life saver!!! I turned my track pad settings off and was using the touchscreen, and it was a complete pain. I happened to see this video randomly, and it is a game changer. Thank you so much!
Thank you! So far so good! 🙌🏾🙌🏾
Thanks for the fix been driving me crazy for weeks!
I have been trying to figure this out for months now and FINALLY this helped fix the issue. Have to admit, feel a bit like a heel not thinking of this option but SO HAPPY you did! Thank you for your help! :)
I couldn’t see what you did on the Intel graphics page. Did you just click on the big Download button on the left and run the extension?
Thank you! Fixed this so annoying problem, after many fruitless attempts from other sites, with your great instructions.
hey brother if u can help me man that would be great.. i have a shop and i can fix just about anything.. software or hardware, but this hp x360 15-ey0013dx is trolling me,, i hangs on the hp logo...i tried diff ram, and ssd , unplugged all connections and left only fans and ssd ram and still same issue..I even installed a new bios ic chip and flashed bios bin for this device via ch341A ( sent badcaps forum the original bios dump and they sent me the new file) but still hangs on hp logo?! i can get into bios just fine..have you experienced this before ?
Great quick fix video, that helped me a lot, Thanks for being specific and so helpful
Glad it helped
Worked as advertised. Thanks for taking the time to share.
Thank for you help, what's happen if the flickering persist even in the BIOS screen?
hats off to you man . Tks a lot works like a charm
Super informational and easy to follow!! Awesome video. Thanks brother!
Should this work with a formerly windows 10 laptop that installed the window 11 update
Thank you so much for explaining and offering a solution, I have been facing the issue for over 2 years and couldn't find the solution and today I thought to look for a solution again and came across your video. I just got it fixed, your video saved me hundreds of bucks as I was planning to buy a new laptop.
I just recently purchased
the HP Envy x360 14 model that apparently came out this year, but I'm having this screen flickering issue.
pls help.
):
Thanks a ton!
I am hoping this works and makes the most sense. Thank you!
Great job, your method just worked on my first try. Thank you soo much
Thank you, this was a real help for me!!!!
Thanks saved me a lot of time.... this helped fix my wife's HP.
Thank you very much!!!!
Thank you so much dude this flickering was such a nightmare for me , I knew it I knew it was when I got windows 11 it’s starting messing up on me but still couldn’t figure it out argh thanks again
Thank you! This worked perfectly after, no joke, years of dealing with the problem! Only problem, Windows came in and "updated" the driver a week later, causing the issue to return. Any suggestions for protecting the graphics driver from updates?
Thank you very much it's works!, I really take a much time to find what's the issue and try to format my laptop. But your solution was very easy and helpful ❤️.
Glad it helped. I have been seeing this issue a lot more recently with other clients. Hopefully, it will get resolved fully soon
I came back to say THANK YOU! It worked and saved me a repair bill. Thanks man!
Glad to help
My laptop screen is flickering even in Bios. I used a second display and it's flickering too. What can be the cause?
Thank you it works 👍👍👍
very useful, thanks for posting!
Glad it was helpful!
It works like magic. You got a new subscriber.
Awesome.. you confirmed my thoughts. thanks
Thank you!,
Thank you! This fixed my flickering screen
Glad it helped!
@@lapfix Do you have a video for another problem I'm having? A computer guy put an SSD drive in my laptop in June of 2021and I just discovered I have not been getting Windows Updates since then!
Thanks for this - sorted my partner's laptop issue 👍
Thank you so much, its working
Thank you so much!
I have had this issue for longer than 4 months even when I had Windows 10 I suddenly started having a flickering screen! so I updated it to Windows 11 and it is still there. I did this yesterday and there's no flickering! thank you so much!
oh no the problem reoccurred again! :( can someone help me!
@@Najo99812 I get this error when I start the laptop, then I restart it and it disappears
@@Najo99812 Hi, same thing happened me. I downloaded hpsolutionsframework 12.10.49.21 and that sorted the flickering but also messed up my trackpad/touchpad. so I downloaded a new touchpad driver via snappy software. Hope it helps
Thank you, it work for me but after 1 weekend the problem appear again :/ Any ideas ?
Thank You!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I spent 2 weeks solving this problem. I replaced the motherboard, touchpad, power button, battery, disk, power socket, and wifi card. I unplugged the camera and did many other things until I watched your video. I loaded Windows 10 and that's it. HP failed.
God bless you
It workedddd
I bought my laptop from an office like a month ago and it was like new and only used for 5-6 month, soo i was soo confused that what th e hell happend to mu laptop and the technique wanted 70 euro to fix it but i fixed it by my own 😂. Thank you soo much for giving time and helping people for free, i really appreciate this.❤
This fixed my laptop temporarily! Do you have a more permanent solution? I have to redownload the graphics driver every time I open my laptop...
I deleted my previous message as I have an update with the issue. Your suggestion works but in order to keep it working you must do something else. I noticied that the issue came back if the laptop was "shut down" but not affected by a "re-start". You must turn off "fast startup" which is inside power options. The problem will then be definately fixed. :)
thanks for the suggestion! This worked and helped me out a lot!
@@luiscardenas606 Also set your laptop's sleep mode (screen turns off) to "Never"
Helllooooo!!!! Thank you!!!! I didn't do the video guy's solution because a lot of people said it's gonna come back. I had to restart my lap every freaking time. Why not do a RUclips video about this man? (you have a channel eh) pretty sure many struggling with this issue. Man, you solved my problem. Thank you, thank you!!!!!!
it worked so well!!!
great video, it worked, thank you so much ❤
Great to hear!
@@lapfix Well after sometime the issue came back again. I try this method again and it worked, but i'm afraid it can only be a temporary fix. Will there be an windows update to fix the problem?
Update could have broken the fix. Try going back to the intel driver site and clean install it again
I have an HP Windows 11 w/version 22H2. Intel core i5. I tried installing the intel graphics driver, but I get.. "×something went wrong. No driver was found that can be installed on the current device. Installer exit code: 8"
I love your video cuhz
wow that worked !! thank you
Does it still work now
This is what we have been doing on the HP machine we've encountered with the flicker issue. The problem is that it seems to keep reverting after a few weeks, likely due to newer updates causing the issue again. Has anyone found a long term fix for this problem?
have you found something?
@@Najo99812 downgrade ur os to win 10 that is the only permanent solution for now
@@ramadhanbridge97 I might consider win 10 myself. I have a HP Envy x360 (win 11) and every time there is a new update, my screen flickers in and out like crazy. Once I update and restart the problem stops. This caused me to start researching it and it led me here. I'm hoping it doesn't develop into an issue where it's flickering outside of updates if so, I may downgrade the system.
Hi, I had this issue like you and like you the flickering returned..so I downloaded hpsupportsolutionsframwork12.10.49.21 for the flickering fix but that messed up my touchpad (could not use 2 finger swipe) which I downloaded a new driver for. Both seem fine now, hope that helps you.
Well mine is also HP but after I updated the my windows to windows 8.1, while browsing it just went blank. Ever since that day it's been blinking when I turn it on, when I press fn + f4 (atapting to switch on monitor ) it only blink then screen goes very dim.
But it work fine on a monitor
And when the screen times out and left on changer for about 5Hour, then after some while it goes dark again.
Thank you so much... I usually go to RUclips as a last resort when I can't figure stuff out. I think I may have to start going to it 1st. I tore this laptop down twice to check all the connections before I found you super helpful video Thank you so very much!
Glad I could help!
I can’t click on anything because it’s blinking. So how can I get online to fix it
Just applied this fix to my wife’s HP Pavilion. Never before have I seen a software issue look so much like a hardware issue. It seems to have worked. Hopefully it stays away. Thanks.
Saved a life 🙏🏾
I have just reloaded a HP Pavilion - 15t-cs300 to Windows 10 because of the flickering problem I had in 11. So far so good but it's only been a couple of hours.
In Windows 11 the problem was fixed for a couple of days using the Intel Iris Plus driver version 31.0.101.2115 but then the flickering returned.
Affected laptops appear to be mostly 10th gen with Intel's H10 SSD/Optane as far as I can tell.
I believe almost every model I have seen with this issue was 10th gen. The driver for each of these intel gpus s is the same as it covers many years
@@lapfix I have a feeling this is more of a pcie bus problem than a graphics driver or to put it another way the graphics driver not playing well with the pcie bus. It's interesting how the Intel H10 RST driver page lists 8th to 9th gen and 11th to 13th gen rapid storage technology drivers. I noticed the 10th gen Intel RST driver hangs and requires a forced shutdown (probably because of the change in nvme driver) with lots more messing about in order to get it loaded. All F6 drivers I tried were rejected during 10 & 11 installs. I even tried a different NVMe SSD (WD SN570). Just a thought but I'm guessing the gfx from the CPU are using the same pcie bus.
It works!
I have a 15-dy1in my shop and your solution was the obvious one for me. But if I cold boot the machine, it still does it. If I restart, it's all good. Hmmm.
This worked at first and i was very happy, but came back after a few days. please Any ideas why?
Update ?
Worked for me initially too and it came back…
Any update .. every time I restart it comes back
It worked at the started and now its back again
Very, Very helpful!!! May I make a suggestion? Please talk slower. You definitely know your stuff, however for a layperson such as myself I had to keep rewinding and pause to follow your instructions.
Thank you so much for an extremely helpful tutorial !!
Just bought a pavillion 15 and my screen flickers like crazy...will try this out...
Thanx for this. After troubleshooting this issue to no avail ( I thought it was a touchpad issue) I finally came to the same conclusion. I thought I had installed the Intel update but Device Mangler said not. So I reinstalled using the clean install option & it took. DM now sez the driver been updated. A POX on HP for not updating their Driver List for W11 updateable machines. Losers. 👍
Oh wow. So i replaced my screen earlier cause i broke it and after 6 months ,this hapoens and it was a pain to use it and i cake across this video. Im gonna try your solution as a last attempt.
I downloaded hp assistant and updated the bios to new firmware..seems good now..hopefully it helps someone out.
this video was all about the problem I was having too. I installed updated Intel UHD drivers, but it did not fix my laptop screen flickering.
There can be another issue with the laptop
Remove Intel display driver and it fixed it. Cheers! I could have sworn this was a physical issue with a cable/ short
I regularly have this problem and the fix for me is always to reinstall the driver, which usually lasts for about 2 boots and then I have to do it again.
I'll even sometimes get the flickering on an external monitor and NOT the built in display when running extended mode. So my guess is it's either an hp issue or a windows 11 issue. I just want my PC to work why does it have to throw fits?
I've also noticed that if you have no apps running then it usually won't have the issue until you launch literally anything.
I found a solution - Turn off "Fast Startup" which is in power options :)
OMG!! It worked!! Thanks for saving me $120 I was going to replace the screen. 😂
I did it. It was a struggle without a second computer. Thankfully im not sensitive to flashing lights.
Disable fast startup in power options
This was awesome, thanks so much. I did find that the issue came back after a while. It was strange, I would get this flickering but then if I restarted my laptop it would go away. Given that there are no drivers available for Windows 11 on the HP Laptop 15, I decided to just revert back to Windows 10. Here is another video I found helpful.
ruclips.net/video/lGibOIvoDCs/видео.html
Thank you for the awesome content and support!!
I havent tried this yet, but for me a temporary solution was just to restart the laptop and that would fix it untill it would be shut down again
It worked at start and its back again..
any permanent solution ?
Wait for another GPU driver or roll back to a previous one
Awesome I did this and my screen is permanently blacked out lol
It is a gpu driver, so the screen may go blank for a little bit. Try restarting/force shut off and clean install the driver again
