@@kel_ski yeah, and the best part is, like a battle medic, people underestimate you until it's too late, thus pumping em full of russian lead before they realize what the hell just happened.
For battle medic, use an ubersaw instead because every hit gives you some ubercharge so you can get free invincibility when you want to rush in or get out to rejuvenate.

So, from the gameplay of the demoknight, I don't think you discovered this, but if you swing your sword near the end of your charge (when the charge bar in the bottom left is red), then you'll get an automatic critical hit. The only one that doesn't work like that is the Tide-Turner, as it gives a lot more maneuverability
Good to see you back kelski great that you discovered more playstiles but one more thing i gotta tell ya theres a subclass called the Pistol Engi you only use the pistol and don't place any sentries or anything just the PISTOL. Great video man hope more comes soon!

Here’s a tip for trolldier, don’t land on top of people, land next to them so you have a wider margin of error to wack them with the market gardener while still in the air so you can get a solid 195 crit with it. Going for stomps is fun, but the heart of the subclass is in the funny shovel.
Watching TF2 through the eyes of a brand new player is so refreshing, I'm legitimately jealous you get to fall in love with this game the way I did many years ago. There's so much to experience still, glad it's treating you right.
the game/community has been incredibly good to me. i’ve even hardly had issues with bots. i get em from time to time, but i just leave and get a new lobby. VERY happy i decided to take the plunge! thanks for watching my journey 🤝
It's always so refreshing to see new players further diving into the deeper mechanics that this game has to offer and I hope you enjoy your stay in this long running silly hat simulator game. Also you were playing trolldier in the way that it was intended its not wrong tho, the sub class revolves around the market gardener, landing crits while airborne from rocket jumping, still love the video tho.
I'm not sure whether to call it an alternative playstyle for the subclass or a subclass of its own, but rocket jumper while focusing all your damage on the stock shotgun gives you a lot of the meat of fat scout while keeping most of the mobility
try out the blutsauger with combat medic sometime, it’s a shockingly good combat weapon! i see other people mentioned this too, but i’d heavily advise. just reading the stats doesn’t emphasize how good it is. i used to have one with thousands of kills back in like 2016 lol
Alright so... first of all... welcome to the community! I literally just discovered your channel and your adventure with tf2 but i have been loving the ever living hell out of your content. Second of all, i know i'm late to the party but there is a custom game mode you might enjoy. It's called uber upgrades, and it takes the mvm upgrading system and injects 500 pounds of steroids into it. That's the best description i can give you without spoiling the fun. Unfortunately not many people are playing this gamemode as much as it was in it's glory days so you'll need to figure something out with discord, but i'd say it's pretty darn fun once you get used to it.
Theres a gamemode called medieval mode where everyone just uses melee weapons and a few other specific weapons, one of my favorite ways to play it is as Heavy with the Buffalo Steak Sandwich and also the Killing Gloves of Boxing. Each kill you get gives you 5 seconds of guaranteed crits so you can go on a rampage as long as you keep getting kills.
That example with the cousin, where no matter how much time has passed. You still just vibe when you see them, a couple of days each year. I feel the exact same.
With fat scout, you should give The Family Business a try in combo with The Killing Gloves of Boxing. Sometimes hard to setup but when you get it you're in for a lot of potential damage and kills with those free yummy crits
There's also some pyro gimicks I'd love to see you give a shot. As well as some specific map gimicks! There's so many fun things to do in this game, I'd love to show you them lol
Demoknight is my favorite class to play, and I love going caberknight, sure it is not the most practical, but getting those double kills with one crit swing explosion, or one shotting a full hp heavy never, ever gets old.
Hello! Fellow demoknight main here, 5k hours. Tip: At the end of your charge, if you time it right, you can get a CRIT HIT with your sword, right before the end of the charge meter. Additionally, depending on your equipped shield, you can deal shield bash damage on hit AND crit hit after that. The more heads you gather the more it deals dmg (up to 4 heads, you gain max health and speed). That means that even a full hp heavy coming your way is doomed to die in an instant. Pretty neat! And of course, there's a lot of hidden mechanics such as trimping, destroying sentries, hitreg to master... You have a long way to go but I tip my Australium Eyelander to you brother! Make us proud! - xProlive
So some things to note: On the Demoknight, the Charge 'n Targe is considered the worst shield, overall, the Tide Turner is the best shield because of it's mobility, but the Splendid Screen does offer some good damage On Battle Medic, using the Ubersaw grants 20% Uber on hit. which means you can go aggressive then uber someone; On Trolldier, the main idea of the class is to use the Maket Garden after rocket jumping to deal 195 Damage, not goomba stomping Also, there are different ways to use the subclasses, like the Hybrid-Knight (Using a sword and shield combo + having the primary grenade launcher); But overall, very good video 👍
You learned Rocket Jumping. You learned Demonknight. But have you heard off... trimping? You might've not know, but with the tide turner, demonkight can fly.
See you discovering sub classes feels like I am watching myself from 10+ years ago. Good job and have fun! Pro tip: z,x,c and bring up voice lines. Use them, or at least z2 for Thanks
My favorite funny class is the revengineer, the gunslinger+frontier justice is so ridiculous. Yelling “MAH SENTRY” in chat and then just going on a guaranteed-critical rampage will never not be funny
If you are using the crossbow to snipe, the solemn vow might be a better option so you ca see the enemies health. Ubersaw seems like a better choice for normal medic game play or using a different ranged option.
@@EmperorNefarious1 I normally pair it with the kritzkrieg for more damage output or the normal uber to get out of a sticky situation, as im pretty aggressive and up-close meaning i often end up using my melee enough to have an ubercharge when i need it
I recently saw a fan o war video for the Scout and ngl I love it. The loadout is: -Soda popper: it gives you 5 jumps once the hype meter is full, great for flanking/escaping. You charge it by doing damage. -Mad Milk: a grenade that coats enemies in milk that heals anyone who damages the milked person(s) by 60% of the damage done which is huge as you can sustain yourself and heal your team -The fan o' war: a melee weapon that deals -75% damage but marks enemies so they take mini-crits similar to jarate, except it lasts 15 seconds and cannot be removed through other means that would remove jarate(invisibility, healing, charging etc). It is also the ultimate hailmary when on low health because you have nothing to lose and if you can mark the enemy before they kill you, they'll take mini crits for 15 seconds which is VERY LONG. How it plays: This loadout allows you to be very flexible on both positioning and role. You can play as a frontline scout with extra durability thanks to the mad milk and you can mark players who can't hit you or ignore you. You can play as a flanker to take out backline classes like medics, snipers and the occasional engineer without his sentry. Also this allows you to mark enemies from behind which is a lot easier to do than run at them with your melee weapon and 125 health. You can also be somewhat of the RPG trickster who wastes the enemies' time by dodging their attacks with the 5 jumps from the soda popper and the healing from the mad milk. Now if you want to kill most classes, the soda popper is often enough if you can get in melee range, however, you become a very scary threat to heavies since they can die very quickly to 2 mini crits from the soda popper. Not only that but you can also greatly reduce the effects of overheal by: A: Dropping the medic B: Marking the medic's pocket with the fan so he'll take mini crits which melt through health very quickly. Mini crits also affect some damages that you don't usually consider like bleed/burn damage and sentry damage which helps if your engineer's nest is in danger. This allows you to dive without commiting too much which usually gets scout killed because all you need is to hit the enemy once in melee then run away. You can take a much more supportive role while not restricting your offensive capabilities which is great imo. It also motivates your team to be on the offensive since it is very satisfying to hear the mini crit sound and see your health go up when you deal damage, monkey brain activation and whatnot.
I love your energy and love of tf2 even though you don’t have a whole lot of time invested into it. Also, if you want to trolldier, oh boy you are not ready for the complexity of rocket jumping
My personally preferred method of Demoknighting is 'Hybridknight', which is where you don't equip the boots in favor of keeping a grenade launcher. My grenade launcher of choice is the Loose Cannon, as it combined with the usual Charge-n-Targe and Eyelander lets you have crazy mobility while not ditching the resistances and guaranteed crits the Charge-n-Targe gives you over a more mobile shield like the Tide Turner. The biggest downside is that you start off with only 150 health and you won't be going quite as fast as you would with the boots, but it's still very rewarding imo
Collecting heads isn't the only way to play Demoknight, you can pretty much use ANY melee weapon with any of the shields, I recommend you go try out the Demorai (using the Half zatoichi as your melee), every kills, you restore 100 or so health, it's an incredibly fun time Oh yeah, did I mention you can FLY as Demoknight?
I don't know how it slipped everyone's mind in discord and this comment section, but battle medic is not the crossbow primary, but the syringe gun. The crossbow isn't really viable combat tool due to low clip count and firing speed. Though the battle medic is almost exactly like a sniper holding the smg, just running around shooting plus regen, the more unique one is medic chaining. Get an ubersaw (melee that restores 25% uber per hit), get a friend with the same melee, build uber, and done. One friend ubers you, you try to hit the enemy and build uber that way, uber runs out, now role is reversed with your friend.
I prefer the approach of new ways to play a class rather than adding a new operator or hero feels like it adds more depth rather than bloat especially when it comes to a game’s narrative as some characters end up being forgotten/neglected by the community or devs
Your combat medic is more of a mindset than a subclass, as normally people would run the syringe gun and solemn vow for pure dps. But when you take the lessons of both and combine them together, _my god_ , you have yourself one of the finest medics on the field. Perfect healing output and able to kill even the deadliest of snipers Also, if you think basic demoknight is crazy, search up solarlight trimping
Some quick adjustments: Battle Medics often prefer to stick with the Ubersaw and the Blutsauger, as it enables more potential then the Crossbow and Bonesaw. While the Bonesaw has better dps because of the faster Swing speed; 4 hits with an Ubersaw can give you a full Uber (get out of jail free), or Quickfix (instant health regen). In the past, the Vaccinator could be used this way too, but it was nerfed where you need a heal target to get the bonus; but the other 2 Mediguns don't have this downside (the Kritz left out since it doesn't offer a defensive boost). The Blutsauger in general is just better for keeping yourself alive. Not only is it more annoying, and thus more distracting to deal with; plus Pyro's can't reflect the needles back; but it actively heals you provided you lead your shots, allowing you to bait enemies in for the Ubersaw smack. As for Trolldier, it relies a lot more on superior Rocket Jumping. Without the advanced skill, you might be able to get a few funny kills here and there; but to master the class takes a lot of time and patience. Still funny as heck when you slap a cocky Scout with the shovel and instantly drop them. Other then that, Gunslinger Engie and Combo Pyro can make for decently fun Subclasses. To be honest, the only one lacking a true Subclass is Scout.
I'd actually recommend the stone bust (forget the name cause mines named the jaw-buster) so you can see enemies health and determine good targets even when it's not in your hand
@@rennelson9576 The Solemn Vow can be good for that as well, since as you pointed out, it lets you know when a fight is in your hand. But I find the Ubersaw is more useful for those flank plays. As a combat Medic, it's always in your best interest to surprise opponents if possible, and a 65 smack upside the head, also granting you 25% uber, will not only confuse them, but it means as the fight goes on, you can potential bust out Ubers to make the fight harder for them. Having a Medic who's annoying you, suddenly go invincible and run off to heal, or use the Quick-fix to restore all their health, can be quite difficult to deal with. But honestly, the nice thing about Sub classes, is you can use whatever you want.
For rocket jumping in general, its a skill that takes a long time to master, but one that makes you understand why soldier is so loved. Keep at it, and you'll start to view the maps in a completely different way. One easy not to incorperate is to not just "look down, crouch, and shoot" and to instead try to jump off of walls, small props, behind you, etc to get the horizontal speed you need. As for unlocks, I'd really recommend playing soldier with the gunboats, battalion's backup, buff banner, or panic attack. A lot of soldiers fall into the pit of using the conch for its regen aspects, but I'd recommend anyone to really stray away from that. The conch is the worst of its banner class, requiring teammates to both aim, and giving a generally subpar effect of heal on damage/speed boost compared to other banners. I typically follow the rule of Buff Banner on defense, and Battalion's backup on offence. The buff banner is great for preventing pushes as well as its self-explanatory damage capibilites, while the battalions provides unparalleled damage resistance, as well as by far soldier's strongest passive effect of 20 extra health (putting you past one of the largest damage thresholds in the game (200 health), meaning demos must hit you three times for example). The battalions acts as a mini ubercharge, especially once you realize it reduces Sentry damage drastically, and can easily turn an uncoordinated pub into a force to be reckoned with. The banners also provide the psychological effect of telling your team to push, which can really help with that as well. As for the panic attack, its a great tool against a pyro-heavy team, and will save you quite often in a pinch.
I have made 3 unique mercs in my own version of tf 2, they have so much to explain, so I won’t for now, but they are, THE DISCO, THE KNIGHT, AND THE PSYCHO
Oh, also, it is not totally new, all 9 mercs are still here, it just add a lot more stuff like a selection of multiple secondaries, a new group, the flankers, conformed by scout, spy, and the psycho, and much more.

I will now proceed to binge watch the rest of the videos i missed out on
welcome back 🤝 i’ve still been loving this game for sure lol, it’s been a blast learning more about it. enjoy the binge!
Fun fact you might not know: Eyelander Heads boost your stats, you get more speed and more health, cap is at 4 heads but the boost is why it's so good, you're almost as fast as a scout and get I think 50 more health
Also check out Horseless Headless Horesman's Heattaker, a reskin of Eyelander but looks ABSO-FUCKIN-LUTELY dope and sounds amazing too
thank you for the tips and suggestions!
I love playing fatscout unironically, even in tf2 classic on custom weapon servers (a fanmade mod for tf2) they gave him unlocks that flesh him out as a viable sub-class!
honestly running around shotgunning people with the comfort of 300 HP is great fun
@@kel_ski yeah, and the best part is, like a battle medic, people underestimate you until it's too late, thus pumping em full of russian lead before they realize what the hell just happened.
For battle medic, use an ubersaw instead because every hit gives you some ubercharge so you can get free invincibility when you want to rush in or get out to rejuvenate.
holy crap that’s amazing
Here is a tip for demoknight: with the charg'n targe or splendid screen, you can enable mouse filter to turn ridiculously more left and right, but it may mess with your aim alot
fire video. just poppin in to say that the trolldier isnt about stomping players but about heating them with the spesific shovel (the market gardener) which does 195 damage to enemys while youre still in the air... anyways fire content keep it up my guy :)

Wow. Amaizing man! This video was cool and also made me understand what new players have to go to understand rocket jumping!
thank you for the kind words 🤝 yeah rocket jumping is quite the beast!
Great content enjoyed the tf2 series
thanks for coming back each vid to watch them 🤝
My friend just pointed out that we were actually in your game for the combat medic part of the video when you played on pier!! I was the gun spy! Keep up the fortressing!!
oh nice man! good games 🤝🤝
Here’s a tip for trolldier, don’t land on top of people, land next to them so you have a wider margin of error to wack them with the market gardener while still in the air so you can get a solid 195 crit with it. Going for stomps is fun, but the heart of the subclass is in the funny shovel.
Ok here's another tip, when you play this sub class your a useless teammate and get killed easly also lowers your chance to get a gf

I'm not sure whether to call it an alternative playstyle for the subclass or a subclass of its own, but rocket jumper while focusing all your damage on the stock shotgun gives you a lot of the meat of fat scout while keeping most of the mobility
so you fly around shotgunning people mid air?
@@kel_ski Or using it to get right in their face like a scout would, both work
try out the blutsauger with combat medic sometime, it’s a shockingly good combat weapon! i see other people mentioned this too, but i’d heavily advise. just reading the stats doesn’t emphasize how good it is. i used to have one with thousands of kills back in like 2016 lol

Unfortunately not many people are playing this gamemode as much as it was in it's glory days so you'll need to figure something out with discord, but i'd say it's pretty darn fun once you get used to it.

glad you're enjoying watching me learn the game!
0:45 why is that so true tho? lol
Because the jokes are funny.
LETS GOOOOOOOOO
hope you enjoy 🤝
That example with the cousin, where no matter how much time has passed. You still just vibe when you see them, a couple of days each year.
I feel the exact same.
Battle engineer would be fun.
part 2? 👀

- xProlive
So some things to note:
On the Demoknight, the Charge 'n Targe is considered the worst shield, overall, the Tide Turner is the best shield because of it's mobility, but the Splendid Screen does offer some good damage
On Battle Medic, using the Ubersaw grants 20% Uber on hit. which means you can go aggressive then uber someone;
On Trolldier, the main idea of the class is to use the Maket Garden after rocket jumping to deal 195 Damage, not goomba stomping
Also, there are different ways to use the subclasses, like the Hybrid-Knight (Using a sword and shield combo + having the primary grenade launcher);
But overall, very good video 👍
You learned Rocket Jumping.
You learned Demonknight.
But have you heard off... trimping?
You might've not know, but with the tide turner, demonkight can fly.
that will be another thing i learn 👀

My favorite funny class is the revengineer, the gunslinger+frontier justice is so ridiculous. Yelling “MAH SENTRY” in chat and then just going on a guaranteed-critical rampage will never not be funny

"Free Amputations... That's 2,000 dollars."

As a combat medic, i recommend the Ubersaw for survivability, you gain 25% ubercharge on hit
thank you for the recommendation!
The loadout is:
-Soda popper: it gives you 5 jumps once the hype meter is full, great for flanking/escaping. You charge it by doing damage.
-Mad Milk: a grenade that coats enemies in milk that heals anyone who damages the milked person(s) by 60% of the damage done which is huge as you can sustain yourself and heal your team
-The fan o' war: a melee weapon that deals -75% damage but marks enemies so they take mini-crits similar to jarate, except it lasts 15 seconds and cannot be removed through other means that would remove jarate(invisibility, healing, charging etc). It is also the ultimate hailmary when on low health because you have nothing to lose and if you can mark the enemy before they kill you, they'll take mini crits for 15 seconds which is VERY LONG.
How it plays:
This loadout allows you to be very flexible on both positioning and role.
Not only that but you can also greatly reduce the effects of overheal by:
A: Dropping the medic
B: Marking the medic's pocket with the fan so he'll take mini crits which melt through health very quickly.
It also motivates your team to be on the offensive since it is very satisfying to hear the mini crit sound and see your health go up when you deal damage, monkey brain activation and whatnot.
love to see new content creators play this game keep it up brother
thank you for supporting the journey man 🤝
I love your energy and love of tf2 even though you don’t have a whole lot of time invested into it. Also, if you want to trolldier, oh boy you are not ready for the complexity of rocket jumping
i wanna get better at it haha, i can see the fun potential. i’ve been having a great time with the game!
@@kel_ski glad to here that! Hope I'll see you in match sometime!
Collecting heads isn't the only way to play Demoknight, you can pretty much use ANY melee weapon with any of the shields, I recommend you go try out the Demorai (using the Half zatoichi as your melee), every kills, you restore 100 or so health, it's an incredibly fun time
Oh yeah, did I mention you can FLY as Demoknight?
as a medic main, i wish every battle and pocket medic could simultaneously evaporate and suffer as they do so
tf2 is like playing an old slapstick cartoon
If you love Demon Knight, you should see Demo Knights who do trimping

I prefer the approach of new ways to play a class rather than adding a new operator or hero feels like it adds more depth rather than bloat especially when it comes to a game’s narrative as some characters end up being forgotten/neglected by the community or devs
Your combat medic is more of a mindset than a subclass, as normally people would run the syringe gun and solemn vow for pure dps. But when you take the lessons of both and combine them together, _my god_ , you have yourself one of the finest medics on the field. Perfect healing output and able to kill even the deadliest of snipers
Also, if you think basic demoknight is crazy, search up solarlight trimping
1:52 Just wait until he discovers trimping
i must research
If you replace the bonesaw with the ubersaw, you can become a medic knight, with a sword (saw) and shield (ubercharge)
Some quick adjustments:
Battle Medics often prefer to stick with the Ubersaw and the Blutsauger, as it enables more potential then the Crossbow and Bonesaw.
