If Robinson was 21 I'd say give him time. 31 is too late to be learning on the job with boxing. He can have some half decent fights, but climbing the ladder is probably not going to happen.
Someone like Johnny nelson said that Steven being 31 with not much experience ain’t going to go far,basically said he will fight these type of fights just to make a few quid here & there but nothing much to make him rich,to old and the ladder of learning is to high unfortunately but least he’s giving a bash and can say he’s fought on sky TV even tho he looked really bad and will probably never watch this fight back ever
Muscles don't win fights, skills, heart, determination does. Robinson couldn't adjust and was robotic. I was actually surprised they didn't rob him, if it was a Matchroom card they would have and called for a rematch. Rematchroom boxing.

6 round fights are tough in the pro game, especially when your not experienced and trying to move through the ranks quick. Also, these small chubby heavyweights with above average speed punches ate a nightmare for taller fighters, I was surprised the Jabs Robinson was eating, the overhand hooks I thought would be a problem for him before the fight

I agree after watching this it seems strange why he would go spar Hughie fury in the lead up to this fight. That sparring won't have helped him prepare for this at all. He would have been better sparing babic than Hughie Fury
@@anthonycain7002 I know he is learning on the job and with no amateur experience to sing about, but It was like Steve's people forgot to do their due diligence and at the very least check out the opponent's last fight or chat to people who know about him and be aware of his aggressive style. The fight was a decent watch although I wouldn't watch it again. it don't need to be a top level fight along as they bang it out Stephens head movement is none existent though he will get flattened if he moves up in competition though respect to Gill though put it on him and got shown no respect after of sky or anyone I'd like to see Gill given another chance on the big stage he deserves it

Don’t think he started boxing to till he was 26 amateur is were you learn the basics I know it’s a different game pro/ amateur but look at usyk over 200 amateur fights and stil has the amateur sort of style in out think Steve only had about 12 amateur just looks like he’s forcing everything he’s a nice lad but never make it as a boxer
I enjoyed this fight, doesnt always need to be guys in the top 10 to have a good fight, sometimes a lack of skills can actually lead to an exciting brawl........anyone in the top 15.......maybe top 20 are gonna beat the guys fairly easily. But respect to both of them.
