A well rounded budget build there that hits all the checkmarks. It's amazing that the 570 can be had at such a affordable price these days, and you even included a SSD. Fun fact there are pre-builts out there that won't do as well or look half as good for 2x this amount. No real criticisms considering the budget for this PC. Great video! :)
By the way: velcro ties are the way to go. They're reusable, they don't cut you after you cut them, and they don't risk the chance of shorting anything out if they get stripped. I use them all the time at work because of how many cables I have to keep together. Super handy stuff.
Can vouch for velcro ties! Bought a 60 pack for $6 and now my rig is looking cleaner than my browser history. Only downside I can really thing of is that they’re not as low profile as zip ties unless you cut off the excess velcro, but that’s an easy fix.

Oz, you really knocked it out of the park on this one. It was a pleasure to watch you work, and it reminds me why I love building computers. There is something so inherently satisfying about building a computer and making everything *just so*

I know a lot of people prefer twist ties to zips but, after having built my own computer (1st one because of great videos like this) I found that zip ties are my preference. I just did a little pre planning before I just went straight to trying to run cables and plug everything in. By the time I was done the cables were so close together I almost didn’t need the zips but, I just used them for good measure anyways. There is something very satisfying about clean cable runs that gets me going lol.

I have A.D.D. and building PC's,motors, also I do roofing and asphalt lol plus a lot of other hands on thing's and all work has some typr of "cable management". I take a step back breath and pre-plan because we know every wire and cable and where they go, and then just start. Try taking a break before cable amangement, then jump on it.
For real man I've probably rebuilt my new pc 4 times because everytime I find better routing for my cables or fan placement and on a rainy day with your dog napping next to you it's super relaxing
:-) Whenever I see a budget build like this I feel like I overspend on PC hardware just to scratch that itch for having a nice rig. I barely use the full potential of my build, most of it is just browsing and RUclips. I just bought an Athlon 200GE for a secondary PC (already had a motherboard, RAM and cooler lying around), it will probably be enough for 90 % of what I do on a daily basis. Thank you for this awesome video, very calming.
@@seebauong9593 Yes it is an excellent Multimedia and HTPC processor. Nice setup you've got there, Linux sounds like a good pairing. I will use the 200GE with an MSI B350 PC Mate, 4x4 GB Corsair Dominator Platinum and a Wraith Stealth cooler. Can't wait to do some overclocking on the Athlon :-)
@Itz Blacky Yeah its a mainstream chip and has dual channel, but this is an old RAM kit I had lying around after upgrading. The 200GE supports 2666 MHz max anyway, so any RAM will suffice

So my favorite “hack” is to use Command tape to hold cables in place. It’s not sticky and not fuzzy, so no worries about getting cables gummed up, and no worry about static, which Velcro could potentially create. The locking mechanism is just tiny teeth, and to make things easier, the same strip can be cut down, and you can make small strips that are closer to the size of a postage stamp, or even smaller. 1) use zip ties to bundle up any cables you have that are running in the same direction, and then once you have a nice even grouping, attach one of these pieces of Command tape to the cables themselves. Kinda like an anchor point. 2) then use an equal size piece of Command tape, attach it to the exposed/teeth side of the cables, and so now you have what is essentially like a Velcro square. Then peel the adhesive backing on the 2nd piece, and then firmly plant that against the case (wherever you choose that makes the most sense) This may seem elaborate - or even overkill - but I kinda did this out of frustration on a build, and once I realized how well it works, I never looked back. One pack of Command tape will get you plenty of mileage, likely enough for several builds. My OTHER favorite indulgence when it comes to cable management is getting a 5-way fan split cable. Most splitting cables are only 3-way, but you can get a really nice, braided 5-way cable from MicroCenter/Amazon for like $8. You can run ALL your fans off one cable (if you have 5 or less), and even if you have more, you can get 2, or just use regular cabling for the remainder. The true advantage of this is having at least one less cable to deal with... but more likely you’ll have several less cables to deal with. Think of it like a power strip for your fans. Another nice result from this 5-way split is only having to run one connector to the motherboard, and so you don’t have to have cables running across the “visual” side of your case (ie: mobo side). I just run them all to the CPU FAN header, and if I need more than 5, I’ll run the others to another single fan header. Even in this scenario, you wouldn’t have to use a third header, and that something! Love your work. Been a follower on my personal acct. Just set this one up for public and selling builds I make. Also really appreciate you opening up about mental health. I’m right there with ya. Respect and peace, JK

I will agree with you when you dropped in RX 570. I recently upgraded to RX 590 from RX 570 (8gb), which I was using more than a year. My RX 570 was a solid piece of Graphics card when it came to 1080p 60fps gaming (well with max settings, 60 fps was not always hit). It was always ready to perform tasks which I would throw at it. Definitely a go-to card for 1080p gaming.
😁🙂 I enjoyed all of the background waving and finger tapping, as if you were tired of waiting on the narrator, which was you. It was all around fun and entertaining to watch. I seriously laughed out loud when you waved in the reflection of the shiny plastic. I do wonder how these builds would fair under Linux mint or something though. You might get higher FPS on lower end machines with steam on Linux.
I've had a shot at this: running Rocket League on Windows 10 versus running it on Linux Mint. My PC was pretty low end at the time, but I'm pretty darn sure Windows is better, at least for RL. I can't say for every game.
@@kinazura590 i know that certain games are just better on Linux, especially on low end systems, because of Steam Proton. Steam Proton is a group that basically recompiles the games for Linux to know what to do with it, and in some cases optimizes it, such as GTAV, and makes it run at 20-30 more FPS at the same setting on both Linux and Windows. These tests were done with Manjaro, just as a heads up

Dude I just got my school laptop 2day and I’m the school doesn’t spend money on us and the first time they spend money on us is during this corona Time and they gave us a 200 dollar laptop with a Pentium SILVER THAT CAN ONLY RUN GOOGLE AND CANNOT MULTI TASK WORTH A DAM AND EVERY TIME I OPEN GOOGLE I ALREADY AT 100 PERCENT USAGE
If you want higher taxes for over priced laptops tell your local school board. I personally pay $8,000/year in school taxes. Over 40 years thats $320,000 that we will never use as we send our kids to private schools. I'm not complaining but a lot of people seem to think that the gov't is a bottomless source of free stuff. It's not. Nothing personal, but you're coming from a place of entitlement. Try being grateful that you got anything at all to help with your education. You'll actually be a lot happier.
Donald Hess I totally get what your saying and I understand we’re your coming from and I am greatfull for the laptop but at the same time they are trying to make us run 5 programs at once but the laptop cannot handle google also this is the only time my school has really spent money on us students. They think spending money on sports is more important than our education like other schools actually got better stuff than us and I’m not trying to say that as me being ungrateful but if there gonna cheap out on us then so be it but then our teachers wonder why it takes for ever for students to load up ixl. I’m just kinda mad with the situation my school is in rn.

It was a descent budget build. Well done. My only concern is your choice of processor. A lot of your games will be constrained (bottlenecked) by your cpu. An i5 or AMD Ryzen 3 series is what I would shoot for. Yes it's likely $150 more but your frame rates should really shoot up.

Fun fact there are pre-builts out there that won't do as well or look half as good for 2x this amount. No real criticisms considering the budget for this PC. Great video! :)
Wow, you seem so chill. I never would've guessed you struggled with anxiety issues. Through God all things are possible.
Hey man, i’ve had some problems with panic attacks too, i just use a breathing technique in the nose out of the mouth for about 10 min. I recommend holding ur breath when u ‘inhale’ if that makes sense it rly works for me.
can u explain what that last part meant
Bro I have been your viewers for years now....initially when I used to watch your content,my purpose was to build my own pc.but watching your content makes me build PC not for games and stuff but just for the sake of doing it.lol.great content.🥰
Edited just to put an emoji.
🥰
Thanks man!
:) Your videos are inspiring. I recently build a ~300€ PC for my living room using only second hand components. Got a gtx970, 500 gig ssd, be quiet housing and power supply, i5-4690k cpu and 16 gig of ram. It took me roughly 1 month and a lot of patience to get all components together, but now I have it and it's running pretty well!
This was fantastic mate.
The calmness of your voice mixed with the soothing music at around 9 minutes provoked an almost emotional response. Loved it
Oz, you really knocked it out of the park on this one. It was a pleasure to watch you work, and it reminds me why I love building computers.
There is something so inherently satisfying about building a computer and making everything *just so*
Hey man, I dig your vibe. You're like Linus minus the cocaine. JK, I like Linus too.
LMFAO
:DDDDD
Just found your channel and your the most chill dude ive ever seen. Great video btw keep it up!!
lol only now doe?
if you need help doing cable management, before you install the mobo plan what your gonna do. pre route the cables. it really helps for me. gosh i’ve never felt more calm watching a youtube video
I was just watching some of your vids and was like “man this is a really chill channel I dig it” and then found this. Outstanding.
I would like to expend 300 dollars for anxiety. But if I do that i would have anxiety for eat.
me too, luckily thats why we have a nice video. tyvm oz
Funny, my Wife is halving surgery later so I need to chill. Your stuff helps, great voice no swearing and great info. Thank you Oz.
Hey man, as someone who also deals with anxiety this really helps :). God bless!
G'day David, all the best to you, I'm a Fighter too, some days the Battle is so hard but we gotta keep doing our best to not give in, Lots of Brotherly Love 😁
Loved the video.
That being said, I feel like some changes could be made.
These are the specs I would recommend.
Gpu - 1050 Ti/1650/570
Cpu - 9100f/1600AF/10100f/9400f (pentium just too suck)
Ram - 16gb (8gb too little these days)
storage - 1tb hdd/ 480gb ssd (240gb not enough)
I know a lot of people prefer twist ties to zips but, after having built my own computer (1st one because of great videos like this) I found that zip ties are my preference. I just did a little pre planning before I just went straight to trying to run cables and plug everything in. By the time I was done the cables were so close together I almost didn’t need the zips but, I just used them for good measure anyways. There is something very satisfying about clean cable runs that gets me going lol.
Loved it man! I definitely had some left over anxiety from watching the debates last night. I saw a new Ozzy video and didn't even read the title because ALL of your content is soothing, interesting, and obviously relatable being a content creator myself. I can relate big time! Thanks for what you do bud!
it has definitely been an Anxiety filled year for many, a lot of people have learned what it is like when Anxiety doesn't just come & go in stressful situations but when it lasts for Days or months on end 7 how crazy t can make your life
your voice is so calm, I love it!
This is the most chill video Oz has ever made,
and its beautiful
:)
It's kinda nice to see someone peaceful on the youtubes. Thanks for the chill.
Recently moved across the country and had to leave my pc for the time being. Actually found you via someone’s suggestion on Reddit for budget builds and knowing that something like this is possible gives me a ton of hope for my own budget build (and fight against anxiety). Keep up the awesome content!
"Back in the day" the cases had solid sides so cable management meant you just made sure a fan or something hot wasn't touching them.
yeah & they didn't stop you putting the Solid Metal Side Panel back on 'outta sight, outta mind' 😁
once again the Bob Ross of budget PCs creates a masterpiece :)
Glad to have you showing us other options since here in PH Its hard to buy PC parts because of the prices and lack of information the components now
Trueeeee
I made my pc without a graphics csrd and 8gb of ram with ryzen 5 2400g for $500
Yeah there really is but I’m going to try shop on Black Friday since the pc parts are gonna be real cheap
PH ....
Hmmm pornhub maybe

this mans pc build knowledge is ridiculous idk how u dnt have more subs the youtube algorithm sucks frfr
Man. Just found your channel. It’s everything my life has been missing and is a very comfortable way to get into building. Thank you so much. ☺️
My exams are ending next month so i’ll be getting a pc. This video is perfect. Thank you so much :)
are you from bangladesh by any chance?
Goodluck to your exam👍
Bob Dole not an epic gamer thing to say
Wish I could also get one.. But...
Just don't use singlechannel ram and get 4-6 core cpu (better with smt\ht)
u could've go with the amd athlon 3000g ,its a 2 cores 4 thread processor and for more 5~10 dollars u can almost double the performance
Rly nice and smooth video
+1 sub
Or a intel Zeon for $70 similar to i7
@@Versuffe i think he was going for future upgrades. a zeon is just gonna have you stock at the same performance

Tell Danny he needs to watch all the way through. He didn't put a smiley face.
Super chill video, I enjoyed the ambient noises and the calm tone. Well done👍🏻
I just like the way Oz does content. Nice easy pace, honest, knows his stuff. Always look forward to new Oz videos :-)
When I get a panic attack I just make an appointment with Dr. Smirnoff.
:)
Lovely build man, well done.
I love how you sound so chill in,the video. I smoke CBD for my panic and anxiety disorder. This was really a joy to watch.
:-)
Whenever I see a budget build like this I feel like I overspend on PC hardware just to scratch that itch for having a nice rig.
Athlon CPU + A320M Mobo. + 8GB RAM + Linux Mint perfect for RUclips, WEB Browsing and playing Audio/Video, been using this for more than a year
@@seebauong9593 Yes it is an excellent Multimedia and HTPC processor.
The 200GE supports 2666 MHz max anyway, so any RAM will suffice
you are so right im way beyond what i neeed
and i feel bad that i have a i7 7700k abandoned on the table
I love the fact that you build cheap computers. Goes to show that you don't have to spend a grand to get a good system. Even with upgrades it's less than a grand. I'm sold
not true lol these games look like shit compared to what i play them on.... get a xbox 360 youd have better graphics and have more fun... he disabled alot of settings in these games. just look at the lighting in rainbow and fortnite. i woudnt touch those games if they look and run like that
if u dont mind blurryness and headaches then spend 300$ on this
@@waskoda7377 well the cpu was really the bottle neck my bro has a rx 570. im certain it was cpu limited but at least pc has upgrade paths
TheOnlyUmagon you’re right I guess I had a bad morning and idk was alittle biased on not getting it. It would be a good if you are gonna upgrade overtime
@@waskoda7377 no worries man. i really like this guys builds because it really is a budget pc. honestly if you built this saved for a month or two and swapped out the cpu it be a pretty damn good pc.
I like your $10 red Walmart-brand Screwdriver kit. I have one in Lime Green, because that was the only color they had at my WalMart. :-)
AYY someone else has one! It's served me well for 2+ years now :)
Mine is highlighter yellow, I'm super jelly of the red. Does the job though!
@@Default_Defect I have the highlighter yellow as well, bought it specifically for taking apart laptops and Chromebooks at work. Now if only I didn't have to walk to the other side of a shared office to use it because my co-worker has taken a liking to it, lol.
Your videos are strangely hypnotic and calming like your the bob ross of building low-end PCs.
Then peel the adhesive backing on the 2nd piece, and then firmly plant that against the case (wherever you choose that makes the most sense)
This may seem elaborate - or even overkill - but I kinda did this out of frustration on a build, and once I realized how well it works, I never looked back.
Respect and peace,
JK

I honestly loved it, I have Severe Anxiety Disorder and this was very calming and therapeutic. I thoroughly enjoy all your content, keep up the great work!
I don’t have anxiety but I do hate it when every kid nowadays says they have it like stfu just because your sad for a couple minutes doesn’t mean that you have anxiety sadness is an emotion everyone has, they think everything is about them also

@@OzTalksHW I waved back too 🤣
I enjoyed the video. The Legend of Zelda music in the background hit the feels as well
I'm finishing up Wind Waker right now for like the 3rd time :D
I will agree with you when you dropped in RX 570. I recently upgraded to RX 590 from RX 570 (8gb), which I was using more than a year. My RX 570 was a solid piece of Graphics card when it came to 1080p 60fps gaming (well with max settings, 60 fps was not always hit). It was always ready to perform tasks which I would throw at it. Definitely a go-to card for 1080p gaming.
Man I didn't even watch this video, but the fact that you made a video to help people fight anxiety made me like and subscribe. 10/10
These tests were done with Manjaro, just as a heads up
Whenever I think about building a new power-pc, my wallet redirects me to this video.
Im going to repeat this here because I like it, " Hard work never killed anyone. But stress and anxiety sure has!". I use this statement to get me out to work somedays when Im not feeling it.
Neon Scott :D
Bro same
If you want higher taxes for over priced laptops tell your local school board.
Donald Hess like I totally understand what your saying but if my school could at least spend that extra 100 dollars so we can do tasks

Wow I really liked this content. Both the soothing video style and the low budget build. It is such a great contrast to those bigger pc building channels where everything is flashy, bright and expensive. It's the first video I have ever seen on this channel, but definitely made me subscribe. Keep up the good work!

Best calm pc builder on youtube in my opinion
I have been suffering from a ton of anxiety and panic attacks recently due to my work environment. Thank you
It was a descent budget build. Well done. My only concern is your choice of processor. A lot of your games will be constrained (bottlenecked) by your cpu. An i5 or AMD Ryzen 3 series is what I would shoot for. Yes it's likely $150 more but your frame rates should really shoot up.
Cable management just requires thought and foreplaning. it's honestly my favorite part of building, seeing all that cable perfection at the end :)
Really feeling this, thanks. Your voice is also calming, which helps.
