- Coming back home from work I went through St Pancrass international station and I stayed for hours listening this amazing improvs.
Thanks to all of you who make me smile and turn my grey day in a funny and unusual night with music.
I felt sorry for the guy who was playing because he missed all the trains back home for diner with his wife to be with us. He finally caught the the last. :)

I can't get what you want to say. But yes, they play live at the station. Yes, they are random people who spontaneous play. Yes, pianos still there for everyone :) I hope I answered your question. Feel free to ask again.

This might end up being one of the highlights of this man's life. That's the power of music, and spontaneity. As we get older it's the short joyous moments which suddenly pop into our minds. Glad most people appreciated his efforts.
Music in your life is a great thing, it brings people together and such a human thing. I hope he keeps doing it.

& to think instead of spending all those 100s of millions of pounds renovating the Stations in London ALL they really had to do to make them better places was plonk a few old pianos around . Love hearing the pianos no matter who's trying to play them

I played on different piano's in train stations and a mall in different countries, but I'm not a good piano player. I just love when some random person is playing a public piano end up to be an absolute pro at it. Those precious moments just make your day.
I wish I could go there; play my heart out, and probably meet some fellow Coldplay fans. I know Clocks, Viva La Vida, The Scientist, and a Sky Full of Stars.

I think there are two pianos at St Pancras Station, but there has always been people playing them, so never had a go. The other London station that has a piano is the quieter Marylebone.
I visited this station a few months ago but didn't see - or hear - a piano being played. Too bad.

Hey give the guy a break, its the piano that needs a good tune. Public pianos whether they be in bars or in stations need tuning. Need more public piano tuners. Was the police officer expecting a riot or something? Nice to see tax payers money not being wasted.
