I wonder whether Calypso saves Davy Jones in the end. Either way, as the story of Davy Jones unfolds, he's one of the great villains whose tragic back ground story makes you empathize why he has become a monster.
@@michaelkawamura9296 That's very unfortunate. I would've loved to have been able to watch it. Unfortunately I won't since Disney Fired Depp because of false accusations and don't want to give his roll back after he was proven innocent.

"Ten years i devoted to the duty you charged me, Ten years i looked after those who died at sea. And finally when we could be together again, you weren't there. Why weren't you there?"
There's an old saying I always take to heart. "The Hero stairs into the darkness and says, I am against you. The villain stairs into the darkness and says, I am with you. And the darkness stairs back at both and says, I am what I am because of both of you." If you are truly one with darkness, it's because a hero couldn't save you, and a villain betrayed you. Davy Jones is a solid example of being one with Darkness.
Nothing comes close to the first 3 movies. Weather it’s the great writing and character development, the incredible scores by Hans Zimmer, nothing beats the original trilogy.

“SHE pretended to love meh, SHE betrayed ME!” Being able to relate to him made me feel that evil and anger. There’s a villain inside all of us, the only difference is between those who choose to hide it, or let it show.
It’s ok to be betrayed multiple times. I have felt such pain. Very painful. But, in the end, one day, you’ll find someone that will stay loyal to you. And I did. Never give up.
I have been backstabbed so many times it has yes, made me have trust issues and bonding issues more present, but I don't give up hope, nor do I see it so black and white. Like, I don't see myself as a pure hero or villain, I just know its normal and it depends on what u do and how u control ur own inside and out
The way your perspective changes as you age is truly remarkable. As a child I recognized Jones as a heartless villain. As an adult I sympathize and recognize him as a broken man.
This tribute gives me goosebumps. This is so well put-together that I can't explain it. Calypso breaking the promise she made to Jones' was the start of a heartless monster that even Calypso would not have imagined. She should not have loved him if she was not capable of fulfilling her promise. His hatred for Calypso grew more, and more. Jones waited 10 years, ferrying the dead, so he could meet Calypso.
I thought about Will's question to Jones, after which betrayal he cut out his heart. Which caused him more pain, when did he become a heartless monster? The moment his love betrayed him, or the moment he betrayed his love?
Well, I mean, if Greek mythology has taught me anything at all, it’s that love between the gods never ends well. (Calypso is from Greek mythology. She’s said to be either a goddess or a nymph, but still super powerful)
The fan made lyrics to his theme a I felt always had a good grasp on Calypso and Jones. Because the lyrics could apply to both of them “like a storm, you can’t be contained. Never bound nor never chained. Wounds you caused will never mend and you will never end. Play the song you sung long ago and wherever the winds may blow, you will find the key to my heart we’ll never be apart”
The ending scene of Dead Men Tell No Tales with Jones walking into Will and Lizzes bedroom and leaving bits of barnacles on the floor made me so excited. But with the way the last movie did I’m not sure we’ll be seeing his return to screen again. Absolutely fantastic edit, I can tell you spent a lot of time editing this and it was all worth it!

Whether Disney planned it or not, the ending of Dead Men Tell No Tales ended up being used for an eventual collaboration with Rareware 4 years later in their game Sea Of Thieves. And get this... they actually did a good job at expanding the lore of both Pirates of the Caribbean and Sea of Thieves while being a fun as hell set of side quests to boot.
The metaphor of love pulling on his heart until he had to cut it out to ease the pain was so cold. He was never a bad guy, he just was pushed and pulled by Calypso’s cruel games so he chose to forgo his pain by sacrificing a part of himself both literal and metaphorically. But by sacrifice he lost his humanity and was left a shell of a person, always being hollow inside and uncontrollably unemotional. It’s no wonder he could only feel anger and hatred but was truly poetic at the end of things when he was forced to put his actions in front of himself, he realised how lost he had become chasing after something he could not have; Calypso.
This video and the editing in it are so good, it moves something inside me that I can't describe. The slow part at the beginning where characters talk about him but he is barely shown, the fast part in the middle and the tragic and slow part in the end... @@thepangea1049 well to put it in a summary Davy Jones was heartbroken by calypso and also stuck with the Dutchman and cursed by calypso after breaking the 10 years at sea, 1 day at land oath and also Davy Jones didn’t see calypso during the day they were supposed to meet.
@@thepangea1049 and also been peer pressured by the EITC Company as a way for Beckett to rule the 7 seas and also Beckett was an accessory to murder of the kraken.
@@moneybagg_garcia5107 Damm right haha
this is so good man, very emotional
A tragic villain that has a great arc and isn’t afraid to be a villain. We may never see the likes of him again
Good lord this edit was phenomenal.
Why cant i stop watching this, everytime i see this again i just watch it over.
“Was it before or after that betrayal that you cut your heart out, I wonder”
The best video of davy Jones I've ever laid my eyes on.
Davy Jones is still a insanely impressive 3D character. Making a character like that in a day shot? fuckin hard as shit to do... takes forever, but here, it looks so good especially for the year. its wild.
Beautiful piece brother!
Damm right haha
That piano Davy Jones soundtrack is amazing
Favorite movie, favorite character and favorite villain of ALL TIME!!!!
Best davy jones broken heart tribute so far
Awesome video man, like always!!
thank you mate!
Nice job man great performance
Without a doubt. Davy Jones is one of the best original villains Disney has ever created. Such an interesting and intimidating presence while he’s on the screen
Nice one, of adding the end credit scene of Davy also ;)
AMAZING edit! :D
what makes me sad is that we will never see this level of storytelling ever again, the world is mentally sick and dying
One of my favourite villains in any media ever
Disney has never and will never make a villian on the level of Davey Jones' greatness again. He was lighting in a bottle.
I met Bill Nighy in 2015 at work. He was very nice & enjoyed talking about the films he is in. Gave me a nod & a wave as he left👌
A Broken villain His last words spoke of his former beloved
This was an Absolute Masterpiece Tribute for My All Time Favorite Role for Bill Nighy. Davy Jones is My All Time Favorite Disney and My All Time Favorite In The Pirates of The Caribbean Trilogy.
WOW! This is the essence of an origins movie! Well done with the editing! :)
Thanks!
Best Disney- no- worldwide movie series ever
His Loyalty was Priceless
The B-rolls' used in this were beyond amazing
Whenever I hear his song it brings me to tears good job bro
I Watch it Everyday Brother. U HAve Created a Marvel out of Davy Jones. I Loved him but not More than Now after Watching this Video...
Beautiful Job. Great Editing. Loved It.
awesome tribute to an iconic character davy jones is a king❤❤❤❤
throughout this video..you can see and hear the agony Jones is in internally...even without his physical heart inside him... he longs for the love of his life...his queen...who so cruelly abandoned him and damned him to a eternity far worse than death.
Your videos are awesome.
You deserve a lot more attention.
I cant seem to get enough of this video.
I would love to see Davy Jones's backstory I feel like it would be a very interesting film not one that everyone would like but at least some would give it credit
