Such a relatable character. Growing up and watching these movies again you really understand his pain and that he isn't the monster he was made out to be but just broken.
Davy Jones is such a sad story. The only reason he became the monster we all saw, was because he once dared to love, and have faith in his love, and yet when the time came, his love had abandoned him... Driving him mad, or cruel, or worse. Cold, and numb to the living. He made the deal, that he would take on the task asked of him by the goddess of the sea, in exchange to be with her, his love, for one day every 10 years, on his one day free of service. And when that day came, she stood him up, yet he was still bound to the service for eternity. He was tricked, cheated, betrayed, and scammed. And when he finally had the chance to ask the goddess why she hadn't come to him, even once, for all of those long years, she wouldn't even give him an answer. Davy Jones may have been the antagonist, but he wasn't the villain. No more than Khalipso was the villain of his story.

To any brother here in the comments, elaborate when you saw this movie as a kid seeing jones and then how you feel rewatching it after a woman breaks your heart. You finally understand him on the level, but let’s not give into pure hatred and despair as he did. It’s not a sin to put up walls around your heart. That’s being cautious and wise. It’s a sin to cut your heart out leaving you sociopathic and soulless.
This edit is a masterpiece and sadly very undderrated Everything is just perfect The introduction, other characters telling about him, his entry, the background music is just right The edit shows a story throughout the video Only thing is it would've been much much better if you hand included some of his sword fights and stabbing Wills heart scene.
Villains only become Villains usually do to very traumatic and abnormal stressful events, and also generally because of being treated as such before they actually become the "bad guy", when one gets thrown about and treated as expendable or even looked down upon in some fashion it tends to breed resentment which leads to apathy and then the famous "I don't give a damn attitude ", then shortly after that a "villian" is born.
I miss movies like this. Well made with good actors, fun moments but most importantly it feels like actual adventure and not just a rushed series of scenes to get to the big money shot at the end.
Such a great and tragic story. A man who gave his heart and got pain in return. Pain enough to tear his heart from his chest. In any other circumstance, Davy Jones would have been a great hero.

Thank you so much. I'm glad you liked it!
this is the best tribute video i have seen... i have watched it like 12 times
That was a great edit mate!! You doing a great job of showcasing these characters 🔥🔥👍🏻
Glad to know that! Davy Jones is a character I've followed through my life pretty much, just the depth of his character, you know? So needed to cover him in one way or another. Thank you for watching man! :)
I absolutely love his story arc in the movies. Such a deep character.
Man these videos this well done are hard to come by, thank you for the time and effort man
This edit is a masterpiece and sadly very undderrated
Everything is just perfect
The introduction, other characters telling about him, his entry, the background music is just right
The edit shows a story throughout the video
Only thing is it would've been much much better if you hand included some of his sword fights and stabbing Wills heart scene.
Hell.....and they say love makes you happy ..... but the heartbroken one becomes a monster out of his burden of his own heart. Sad indeed.
Villains only become Villains usually do to very traumatic and abnormal stressful events, and also generally because of being treated as such before they actually become the "bad guy", when one gets thrown about and treated as expendable or even looked down upon in some fashion it tends to breed resentment which leads to apathy and then the famous "I don't give a damn attitude ", then shortly after that a "villian" is born.
with the years he served, with the years he lost
may he rest forever in peace at the depths with his beloved; no matter the cost
Great edit. I always liked Davy Jones for this ruthlessness and tragic story.
Such a great character! And thank you Xio :)
I miss movies like this. Well made with good actors, fun moments but most importantly it feels like actual adventure and not just a rushed series of scenes to get to the big money shot at the end.
This was an absolutely incredible edit!!!! Thank You!
Thank you, for watching!
One broken promise is enough to turn a man into a monster.
The hearts that get the coldest. Were also once the warmest. - unknown
Such a captivating upload.
Such a great and tragic story. A man who gave his heart and got pain in return. Pain enough to tear his heart from his chest. In any other circumstance, Davy Jones would have been a great hero.
this is an absolutley beautifully edited video, thank you so much for giving us this!
def one of the best davy jones videos ive seen so far
“Those who are careless once cared too much.” -
Davy Jones.

one of the most badass and stylish villain ever made
4:50 is what gets me the most. His pain is definitely showing as he plays.
Never thought Davy Jones would be so relateable
I Love The Music Director and its whole Team. ❤️
Such a beautifully edited video. This had my girl in tears. Thank you!
I remember watching these Movies as a Child back when they came out, and i remember even then how much emotion Davy Jones got out of me, but damn it kicks different as an Adult.
What an absolutely beautifully tragic Character, literally cutting his heart out and giving it to his Love..
Why the fck is my nose running now
Created Best Character The Innocent hummings of a Broken Heart Lying Beneath its Eerie Appearance touched me deeply
Best Disney villain ever made. They will never be able to replicate another.
That's so great
I was waiting for the "my heart will always belong to you" line with the music from the music box at the very end of the video, it would've been perfect.
That would have been a nice addition to the edit, but oh well... I'll give you credits for good editorial sight there!
*drops the hardest Davy Jones edit ever*
"Do you fear death? Do you fear light, dark abyss? All your deeds laid bare, all your sins punished? I can offer you an escape."
"Do ya fear deatha?"
your entire comment consisted of a single quote that you didnt even get right. you should feel ashamed.
10대와 20대를 통틀어, 30대에 이른 지금에서도 데비 존스의 강렬함과 슬픔은 잊히지 않고 있다
이 영상을 만들어줘서 고맙습니다 이건 내 창작의 불을 지펴줍니다
