  • Bill Ingle didn't exactly see eye to eye with Dale Earnhardt as they made their way up the racing ladder. That's one thing you need to know about this release.
Another is this. Bill was also a Golden Gloves boxer in his youth ... and once he joined Junior Johnson & Associates ... he didn't mind standing up for what he believed to be right with his fists.

"You make your own luck by the decisions you make." - Bill Ingle
The classic is "Luck is when preparation meets opportunity", but I like this version.
Either way, it's like "Do good, be good and good things will happen".
My guilty conscience has served me well. And I've been stepped on while being a nice guy. But, definitely a net positive. And I sleep at night.

Back in the 90s when he worked at Diamond Ridge Motorsport,I wrote him a letter asking why they had let Robert Pressley go. Weeks go by and I received a letter from him explaining what had happened. Helluva guy and smarter than hell with a racecar

I believe some of the stuff about Alan Kulwicki. He had a degree in engineering, and engineers think they know everything. I believe Alan was arrogant and said most of these things, not all, but most. Rusty Wallace was the same way.

Dale Sr. Was a terrible father, a thief, a drunk driver, and generally all around thug. Mr. Ingle is right. Sr was no fighter.

He lost his license in the 70s after his Dad died. He went off into deep mourning, which he complicated with alcohol and back road exploits. This was a major reason his 1st wife Kerry's mom hated him until the day he died.
