Use essential grid to make a great looking grid automatically putting your posts and custom posts. The grid will link through to the blog or other custom post.
While I learned some helpful things from this video, I found the title kind of miss-leading. I was looking for a tutorial to show me how to use essential grid to display blog posts with a short excerpt from the post as well as a featured image. Could you possibly give any tips on how to accomplish this or do another tutorial?
Fantastic playlist of tutorials on Essential Grid - bonus that you're using Divi, as I have a question for you! When looking at the bottom of the backend builder, all the custom fields created by Essential Grid are listed and can be deleted or updated. Looks like some can even be added here. Should we leave these alone, or is it safe to delete the ones not being used on this page?
Honestly, I haven't played around with deleting them, so I'm really not sure. All I can say is have a play on a non live site and see. I know that's not a helpful answer, sorry. Let me know how you go though, I'd love to know.
New Question: I clicked a new skin's top bar (and it has turned green because it's now enabled). I then saved my grid and refreshed my page but still, the old skin keeps showing up. What am I doing wrong? (even tried incognito window)
Hello Sarah, I have Custom posts that have 5 images (1 x featured and 4 in a ACF gallery field) - Do you know how to include these extra 4 images from each post in the grid as well?
Hi there, I've watched some of your videos as I'm trying to get my head around wordpress and essential grid looks good. I see you mention black lines between grid images in one of your videos and talk about the image ratio, i.e. 4:3 etc. I've got thin black lines appearing in safari and on iPad that don't appear when using chrome. Have you come across this before or found a fix? Thanks
Hi Kevin, Yes, that was happening when my ratio was different to my image sizes from memory. I've got past this by making sure my images are a ratio that I can then put into essential grid. I haven't specifically noticed the difference on different browsers though. I'd be happy to have a look at the grid if you wanted to send a link through to my email hello@endure.com.au
In preview it is loading as it should (now). But when loaded on the page (homepage) it is still sorted randomly. Don't have any filters, sorting, pagination added.

hi. do you know if there's a way to add custom posts by ID?
i tried 'post__in=array(1,2,5)' but it brings up just one wrong post.

How do you make content for posts like in a shop?
