Hey everyone, thanks for watching. Side note: have noticed a fair number of customer reviews saying the GTX isn't waterproof, so there could be some quality control issues with the GTX version. Had no issues on our end, but thought we should note it. Luckily both Nike and Gore-Tex are good about fixing stuff if that happens. Also, this colorway is on sale right now for $95 (link in description). And lastly, please support our sponsor Bombas (great Christmas presents, btw) and save 20% off your first order by using code BITR20: bit.ly/SHOP-BOMBAS

Yeah also worth noting that not the entire upper is lined with goretex. I think this shoe is definitely more on the "highly water resistant" just because there are parts that don't have goretex. I think you guys did a good job explaining that but people just don't pay attention haha

Any feedback on how easy these shoes are clean when they get dirt / mud on them? I know I'm not supposed to care what my shoes look like, but I guess I'm shallow, cuz I care. I don't need them to stay pristine but I also don't want them to become permanent-stained, like my SC Trainers that gent from "mint tree" to "yuck" in just a couple of runs.

"water proof runniners"....I think is just another gimic to sell more shoes. It's physically impossible to make a pair of 100 percent "water proof" shoes to the rim ...the tongue has to be able to move nad most companie just use the standard shoe design....instead of stitching and maybe "gluing" the tongue to the walls of the show...could be done but no one is doing that yet...if you're just looking for a runner you can wear in the rain but don't plan to run through a shallow creek. Water will still make it in the shoe. They'd need to make a "rain boot with running shoe faom/sold". yet to be done (that I'm aware of).

These are not waterproof over the laces. if you step in water that is deep enough to cover the laces, water will go in. It does have gore-tex all over shoe except under the laces. this is kind of misleading because a goretex shoe should also cover the laces. My other goretex shoes like salomon have no problem steeping in water submerging my laces. Just something no one is talking about. i bought mine and returned it thinking it was just that particular shoe but each new pair i received had the same thing. So don't submerge this shoe over the laces under water.

I've been using the 3rd one for a year and looking for a new one. To my surprise the 4th one seems to be much smaller in size. I've already gone up a half size twice and have to send both back!! Unfortunately for me I need a size they don't even make (or not selling in my country, EU 48.0 or US 13.5). So now either I'm ordering two full sizes above my normal size or look for another brand...

Is the heel cup taller than the Nike Trail 3 GTX? I have the Trail 3 GTX and while I love them, they give me blisters if I walk in there more than like 4+ km. Running in them is fine but walking I get blisters because of the low cut heel cup that doesnt properly cup my heel and results in it rubbing a lot until it eventually blisters.

You know, I actually had good luck with my zoomxzegama. Everyone said it was horrible in terms of the outsole but mine were great. However, I did run them on dry roads for about 15 miles first because I had heard that the Nike outsole seems to have a layer on the outside that is more slick and wears down with use to a more sticky rubber (read that from Believe In The Run's reviews- thanks guys!). I even ran with my zegamas this morning where we had a big rain in CA so our baby buffed out trails are are sloppy from not having rain in a while. Performed great. But this shoe seems better out of the box in that regard.

I'm still running in the Peg Trail 2 and really enjoy the React midsole. I feel like it livens up a bit after a few miles. I believe it does have a rock plate and I use it to commute 2 miles on road to trail. The upper could be a bit more snug for my narrow feet and just a bit more nimble of a shoe but overall I really enjoy it. Understand about the outsole grip but works fine for me on light dirt trail with some roots/rocks.
