    Great honest no BS reviews thanks a lot for keeping it real 👏 I like walking around in the Juniper 2 Trail and Pegasus 3 as they have a nice wide toe area, lots of heel and sole padding and there is no pronation wearing them. Juniper 2 is a hard sole but walking in them is fine, great looking shoes 👍

    Just a heads up, the Nike wih best traction in my eyes were the AirMax 2015 model. The thread had studs on front, sort of like squares made of medium-hard rubber, but gripped so hard I could climb up 40-45 degree diagonal made of bricks. That model was crazy and one of, if not, the best Nike I've ever had.

    I’ll have to try the KT’s, the Wildhorse was absolutely frightening in tech downhills in boulder. Could never get lockdown. Easier downhills with less rock was ok. Compared to Vibram mega grip, they are slippery. I really feel like Nike is just still dipping their feet in and not really diving in. They have all of the technology, the distribution to make some really great trail shoes and here over a year they just always get something wrong. Like mentioned, they really need a partner with vibram. That mega grip is worth spending an extra $30 on a shoe. Absolute confidence and dry and wet conditions.

      @Daniel Konecny It would be interesting to see how they compare to the likes of the Speedgoats and Inov-8s that wear very slowly and can last several hundred miles. It's Nike though, so I doubt it. I love their trail shoes just for walking - have the Peg Trail 3 and Terra Kiger 8 and while they are super comfortable, they are not great at outsole durability. I guess let's see how people find this newer generation.

    I really like the Nike trail shoes and have been using them for a long time. I've had pretty much every version of the Wildhorse and Tiger. The fit is so good for my feet and the React foam is one of my favorites. Soft, bouncy and responsive. For me much better than for example Hoka.
    Yes the grip is not outstanding, but often made worse than it is. Just don't use them when its very wet or muddy. This has changed with the WH8 that has a very good grip. I sold the Zegama after a couple of runs. The ZoomX midsole was terrible and the fit the same. Way to firm and hard and the fit was not at alle the same as WH or Kiger. A very different fit.
    I disagree on the build quality. I simply can't recall that any of my many Nike trail shoes have worn out prematurely, actually the opposite is more the case.

    Love Kiger9 its better than K8, Wildhorse8 also much beter than W7, finally a good shoe & Zegama ZoomX is blessing on my feet, but ZoomX should be with 8mm or 6mm drop not 4mm. So I wait for July release of ZoomX Ultrafly this will be the greatest of them all with zoomx 8mm drop but with too small lugs 😂 Do not like PegT4 its 10mm drop makes me heel strike to hard. 😕 ps. Good video Ben 👍

      @@RowOfMushyTiT not much videos on Kiger9 on yt. Did not test K9 on wet terrain yet, but to me feels better outsole with better arrow formed box shapped lugs, better grip than K8 for sure. Wildhorse8 I tested on wet and muddy terrain and Wh8 is real good. Both have similar lugs so think K9 will be ok, but beleave problem is still in lug boxy form, they need to be arrow shaped for good grip on wet terrain.

      The Wildhorse was very good in the wet and the Pegasus 39/40 are good for road shoes.

    Bro, where u take drop info from? Nike stoped to disclose it some time ago..for all shoes ( as*holes, right? Its its critical info for all runners)... i understand that they cant guarantee drop, due to poor quality control ...lol

    • @BenParkes
      @BenParkes  Год назад

      We usually get it from sites such as sports shoes, pro direct running etc. Other retailers basically.

      @@BenParkes they have contradictional info, like runrepeat put 9.5 mm drop for some 10 mm nikes etc...also i remember previous terra kiger always had 4 mm drop...so i doubt they have 6 mm now....

    Maybe your heel slip issues come from wearing shoes that are a little too big. Having watched the entire video and seen the shoes on your feet, I'd definitely suggest a half size smaller. The shoes look too roomy for you.
