Ya that one was weird. He probably doesn’t own pets or something. It was a bizarre thing to say. He said it as if it wasn’t their dog or something. Most people would try to help their dog. And most dogs wouldn’t bite their owners just because they are hurt.

If you're that trigger happy or don't know how to handle a situation appropriately, you absolutely should not be carrying a deadly weapon around as a job.
@GabrielLopez-cm4wt Do you have a hard time with reading comprehension? Or are you just that ignorant(BOTH definitions)? You missed the entire point of the conversation. The third one was the most heartbreaking. The poor puppy didn’t even have malicious intent, yet the cop STILL shot it. The owners were begging the cop to take the dog to the vet, and he never did. The cop had no empathy in his voice. He didn’t even care. Apparently, this cop has no idea how much dogs or any other pets mean to people. What a heartless person. He let the dog die. That first one is so stupid. This is completely their fault and they should be help accountable, not the homeowner or anyone else, dogs are trained to protect.
They literally received the wrong address from dispatch. Were you not paying attention? And it didn’t make it any better by her door being wide open. The first one is probably the most understandable. Told the dog to back up and stop twice before it lunged at him. Sure he could’ve deployed a taser by wtf am I gonna have a taser out for when responding to a break in? Use logic and not your emotions and maybe you’ll understand.
I'm absolutely disgusted by the fact that a cop shot an INNOCENT PUPPY TRYING TO SAY HELLO like any other dogs, refused to consider basic knowledge when it comes to dogs, accusing it of being aggressive and refusing to get it help, and then the city lets them get away with it? What is with the cops js shooting things as if there's no other option?
That second cop should not be an officer. The cop didn't even listen to what the man was saying. Just barked orders. He then insults the dog, the daughter, and the father. Lack of deescalating skills and professionalism.

My bet is the fetishisation of guns in America, not only normalising the use of them by the police but also justifying drawing the gun before any "perp" can, since a gun could be anywhere, especially in America. Secondly I think it's because for years the police has been hyped up as heroes who can do no wrong, escaping criticism by the general public and being protected by the media. Only recently have bodycam footage as well as cellphone recordings become so widespread and open to the public that people can see how they truly are.

I don't even use it on my phone because of how obtrusive it is and how often it causes miscommunications. In some systems such as software IDE's and even phones you have autosuggestion features which requires the user to manually validate the correction or suggestions but even these systems aren't flawless and lead to mistakes in inputs regularly. The fact that modern devices can use autocorrect is entirely irrelevant to whether or not it should be using them for any given application. Agreed. I have to live in this disgusting excuse for a country, where the government or citizens don’t have common sense or have control over themselves. I truly hate how people here think it’s a dumb little joke, but the US is just rotting in pain and sorrow. They are too blind to see that fact, but that’s the reality they created.

Sadly I am American…
This is the result of allowing the police to police themselves and qualified immunity. Florida Governor DeSantis just signed a bill where civilian oversight boards have to be made up of members appointed by the sherif. Now we're literally just wasting tax dollars to have the police police themselves, but more officially. We're making absolutely no progress.
Sadly I am an American and to be honest I hate it here and wish I could move but I don't have the money to do that 😢
My god, sociopathic behaviour of trying to blame the couple for a vicious dog when it was THEIR mistake.
And cops wonder why no one trust them
they are mostly government boot lickers that like their power
The fact that the 2nd guy literally said “let me get my dog! He’s gonna start fighting everybody” and the cop refused to let him get his dog. 🤦♀️
For real, and what made his neurons to fire and make him think "Oh yeah let me just choke the dog" and not pick it up normally

4th case is just disgusting! They just arrested an innocent man for nothing!
Yeah the other guy said it was a different criminal he was talking about. But instead they went to a random man who was checking his mail, threaded his dog, trespassed on his property, they decided to shoot him and arrest him instead of going after the real criminal who was probably long gone!

The third one is actually the fucking most stupid. No wonder people hate the police. This should absolutely NOT be legal. AT ALL. This is NOT OKAY. That is the worst fucking cop I've seen in my life. That poor dog, they just wanted to greet/play, and had to die for no reason. Giving that cop a gun and a badge is an absolute disservice to society.
For real.
I've been telling everyone I know and meet to never visit the USA simply because they might be shot for not speaking English as their mother tongue or whatever else these criminals which call themselves police come up with. When the people who are supposed to help and defend you are the ones you should be most scared of, something is intrinsically wrong with the entire system. This escalated from 9/11 onwards and got worse every year since then.

@itsbrotherhoodkingc8329 Well looking at cases of police officers killing innocent bystanders “by accident” and hurting animals. Nothing really significant happens to the police officer. If you tried using the 2nd amendment to defend yourself. A court might side with the police officer.
It is if it's a working or service dog. You can't pet one if you're told no without getting a felony... some dogs have more rights then people and most badges like the illegals... Now think of the illegals they gave badges and guns to it will get way worse. Most places don't like dogs like we do... show me one Vet that wouldn't defend his dog let alone a ton of other people...

The third cop generally made me so mad. The fact that he tried to blame the owns for HIS MISTAKE is ridiculous. And trying to change the information that happened in the events so he wouldn’t get in trouble just made me so mad
His mistake? The owners of the dog had the dog off the leash so it isn’t the cop’s fault as he was defending himself. But everything else he did was wrong, as he should’ve just let them take the dog to the vet and not provide misinformation
@@SirensAndAlarmsOfNorthernIL It still is technically his fault. He assumed the worst was gonna happen and resorted to lethal force. Not to mention that the dog was showing no signs of aggression.

Yeah, I don’t think so. There were so many ways the cop could’ve handled that better and yet he chose the most extreme option.
@@forthelolz1121Yea pretty much lmfao. Not if it is just walking over, if it is charging at them. They are trained to do the same if a person charges at them. Most off leash dogs are dangerous, and an officer also has ABSOLUTELY no time at all to think about is it dangerous or not so they treat it like a threat and use force, as they’re like soldiers. Like in the third one, it is 100% the owner’s fault. Some ppl don’t deserve dogs ngl. Besides, why cry over them getting killed when they’re just a man made beast whose life means pretty much nothing compared to a human life?

The second and third incidents are both in Loveland Colorado. This got me curious so I looked up that department and I found a LOT of bad stuff. First of all the cop who shot Herkimer had gotten in trouble in the past for using excessive force to arrest an elderly woman with dementia but aside from him I found an officer who approached two minors in the park, tells one of them to leave, leads the other to a secluded part of the park and SAs her. An officer punching a woman in handcuffs in the face as she’s having a mental breakdown in a hospital examination room. Another officer who wrongfully arrested someone for drunk driving despite the fact that the tests proved otherwise. An Officer kills a 19 year old during a mental health crisis. At least four former officers are on the Brady List(the list of corrupt cops)including the ex police chief.
