When you first indicated that Dormammu was going to be Number 2, I was very disappointed. But when I learned your Number 1 pick was Shuma-Gorath, I said "Okay, I can see that." Dormammu has always been my favorite Doctor Strange bad guy - powerful, supremely arrogant, very cunning - yet possessing a sense of honor (he never breaks his word). Despite being technically a demon, his display of human traits while battling Strange is what makes him so appealing to me. But Shuma-Gorath is an elder god, which makes him even more powerful. Interesting thing, he was created by Roy Thomas as Marvel's answer to Cthulu. That said, he's always made an interesting villain one who can even keep the powers of the Vishanti and other good entities at bay.
Funny enough Shuma Gorath actually got hurt in a fight against Dormammu. Under the right circumstances I’d say it’s safe to put Dormammu above Shuma Gorath
How do you think a sorcerer like Doctor Strange is able to deal with these powerful villains? Do you think we will see him fighting against these villains in the MCU?
Just as a theory, multiverse of madness could end with Doctor strange pressing the multiversal reboot button where everything goes back to normal except him, Steven will retain his memories of the previous timeline existence but no other characters except masters of the mystic arts and characters like Ned will remember anything. And after that big reboot button explosion/binding light it type thing happens the only thing that will be heard will be Galactus saying I hunger in a confused and booming tone but faintly.
Like Flash does with Flashpoint. Interesting concept but to be honest I'm not a fan of how when things get complicated Flash kinda reboots things. It got old so fast.

I want to see Galactus and his heralds, Chthon, Eternity, the Beyonder, Mephisto, the Fear Lords, the Living Tribunal, Infinity, Nemesis, the Presence, the Molecule Man and the First Firmament. Heck, to see Master Order and Lord Chaos, Chronos, Mistress Love and Sire Hate, the One Above All and the One Below All would be something to behold on screen. Also, I want to see more powerful heroes in the MCU, like older versions of Cloak and Dagger, Fantastic Four, Ghost Rider (remake) and the Son of Satan. I'm excited to see where the MCU goes next. Maybe Secret Wars, but I'm sure the focus will be on Kang, the Conqueror . Introduce X-Men or the Defenders? Shi'ar Empire? M'Kraan Crystal? Phoenix, or better yet, Dark Phoenix!!!!??? The Phalanx for X-Men? Possibilities are endless!!!

I agree, Doctor Doom is very powerful, and a class act to boot. I believe the reason he was not higher on the list is because it's about Doctor Strange. Doom and Strange have squared off a couple of times, but it is nowhere near the number of say Dormammu or Baron Mordo. Should Doom become a more frequent foe - and anything in possible in both the comics and the cinematic universe - then he should be placed in a much higher spot.

multiverse of madness does'nt seem as promising as the first part which had dormammu as a villain, compared to chthon dormammu is way better, like shuma gorath and nightmare, also after the mephisto theories, they really kind of slacked off on this one, house of m storyline would've been awesome, still pretty excited coz of the horror aspect and cgi effects with all the cameos.
