And I’m not just talking like Thor or Captain Marvel or even Scarlet Witch, no I’m talking who is really the most powerful - Arishem, Strange Supreme, Loki, Infinity Ultron - who’s really the most powerful character in the MCU? The whole Captain Carter scene with all the artifacts was just disrespectful. Your telling me that Captain Carter can use the infinity around like she did while Tony died from one snap, hulk almost lost his arm from a snap, star lord who was a cosmic being at that point almost died holding the power stone, and even thanos had major damage done to his arm after snapping… I absolutely hate the what if series
But, the Captain Carter's armor was different and she is a super soldier. It must had influentiated. Star Lord almost died because he touched the pure stone, without any protection or gear to help him. Not that I'm okay with it, but there are some things that yeah... you got it
Edit - And Captain Carter didn't snap. Thanos and Hulk died, that's why they got those big injuries
Man, thank you for saying it. I felt the exact same way. The whole season finale was written like an extremely poorly written fanfic that completely disrespected the canon laid before it, and contradicted so many plot points in the mcu. It was exactly like what they did with the scene where infinity ultron with only one stone, one shot thanos with 5, except way worse since there was absolutely no excuse with the Carter infinity stone usage. That whole finale sucked so bad! I personally don’t agree that all of what if sucks, as I think many episodes used the concept well, yeah, that finale left an awful taste in my mouth after it was all over.
i hated that episode on so many levels not only was it filled with bad bullshit writing but they also wasted one of their best characters by killing off strange, honestly there was only like one good episode in season two with the ego episode, the iron man one was okay but there are things i don't like about it

@@worldisbeautiful5798 but we do know that he beat people like hela, surter, and the frost giants. When he was alive HE was the protector of the nine realms and there was a reason for that. Thanos didn't make his power plays UNTIL Odin died
So I believe Odin would have smoked the shit out of that floating ball-sack of a planet and forced him to go back to whatever sector of space he came from

I know I’m a little late but Ego pretty much said it himself that he is not as powerful as a god. When one of the guardians (can’t remember which) called him a god after they found out he was a celestial, he replied with something like “with a lowercase g” which pretty much implies that he isn’t as powerful as a god. Odin, however, is a god and is a very strong one at that.
Remove captain carter from the list. You lose credibility with captain carter. Did she pay you?

Current Loki is definitely the most powerful character of the MCU. He is the god of time/stories.

If Thanos has the Infinity Gauntlet, there is no way Capt. Carter should be ahead of him and he should be slightly higher on the list. If he doesn’t have the IG, then he should not be ahead of Dormmamu..
He’s going by feats and battles. She not only had the gauntlet, she had several other items that bolstered her power even more as she fought strange supreme. Someone who would’ve really given Thanos a hard time, if not outright beating him. The only trade off would be if Thanos was somehow able to(or ruthless enough) to just will strange out of existence. Do difficult to do I suppose.
Strange had full control and planning after being dusted by Thanos already. He’s the one who orchestrated the massive return. Dr. Strange is immensely powerful.
In movies all characters are nerfed to joke level.
In comics all characters are overpowered to joke level that the living tribunal become a standard measurement for power

The argument saying that "oh Kang is weak because he got defeated by a bunch of ants" is extremely nonsensical. Remember that ants can lift 50 times their weight and those ants were human sized (but size does not really matter in the quantum realm), not to mention the fact that there were thousands of them at the battle. They had also developed a type 2-3 civilization through centuries of technological development.
Also kang survived the ant encounter then fought ant man but kang lost to ants sounds better to people
That's not how physics work. Ants are not some magically super strong creatures, the only reason they can lift 50 times their weight is BECAUSE they're small

Loki had his ‘epiphany’ & got the job due to his integrity, not his ambition. Cap picked up the hammer as he was deemed ‘worthy’. ‘He Who Remains’ seems to be just a guy from the 31st century who discovered wibbly-wobbly, timey-wimey stuff, got out of his depth, created a terrible situation & did the best ‘damage limitation’ he could think of, poor chap.

Asgardians become more powerful with age. If Odin and Thor were the same age, Thor might be stronger than Odin, but with Odin being as old as he was before dying and Thor being as old as he is now, it’s not even close. Odin is way beyond Thor’s level.

Infinity Ultron is my most Favorite version of the character, due to him being more of a powerful threat and most formidable.
One of my favorite episodes of that series. Basically shows how strong Vision would have truly been if Ultron would have uploaded himself successfully. He’s an AI with a vibranium body and infinity stone imbedded in his head. Would have been crazy to see that in an actual movie
for anyone saying “galactus or silver surfer or anything like that remember this is the MCU as in what has been shown in the MCU only.

Battle beast vs goku is one sided in goku’s favor
I feel like most of these are almost completely one sided, the closest fights would be batman vs Ashoka and Captain America vs mace windu while both of the jedis win pretty steadily because of their broken force powers that neither of the two have answers for even with prep time
Then battle beast vs Goku is an annihilation towards battle beast as there's nothing he could against Goku the only way I see battle beast having a chance is Goku being completely unaware of the situation and battle beast kinda assassinating Goku but even that won't work as in base Goku is already far beyond planet level strong and battle beast is at Best planet level
Then lord boros vs general zod is again another complete annihilation as zod scales to superman levels zod is weaker but being even comparable to Superman is easily enough to make you planet level at the absolute minimum given everything superman has done in his comic book career and well boros at his absolute peak is planet level not even completely as in his strongest form and his strongest move would at best let him incinerate the surface of the earth as this was said in the manga

I find it impossible to tell power levels from film (or show/cartoon) to film. The MCU also does this strange conflation of “galaxy” and “universe”. Like, are the Guardians of the Galaxy working in the Milky Way? They sure don’t seem limited to our one Galaxy. And I think I figured out where Capt Marvel was between her 90s movie and Endgame - she flew the Skrull ship … somewhere (and then right back? In Secret Invasion there were still a bunch of them on Earth) at lightspeed+. In any case, time dilation could explain why she showed back up 30 years later looking exactly the same. Although The Marvels seems to suggest she did all that stuff with the Kree and Hala in that time too. Time-y Wimey stuff.

The 616 Multiverse is just one of many, there are many multiverses all with their own sacred and branched universes, cosmic abstracts exist beyond multiversal level they are megaversal. As such, the real list would go like this:
1. Living Tribunal (Seen in MOM)
2. Great Eternity
3. Other TEASED Abstracts (Eon, Death, Infinity)
4. Uatu the Watcher (Prime Being of the Weaker Watcher race)
5. TEASED One Above All Celestial (Prime Being of the Weaker Celestial Race)
After this we reach lower level beings that can't exist beyond mutiversal but are dam near:
6. Loki God of Stories Variant (Father of the 616 Multiverse and More powerful than Base HWR who both have the same feats)
7. He Who Remains (True 616 Kang therefore not a variant)

If you go by what is stated in the movies and shows them eternity is the most powerful we have seen so far. Arishem is next, Gos Loki is 3rd, 4th is infinite Ultron, 5th is dormammu, 6th is strange supreme, 7th is infinity Thanos.

We all know some characters got cheated here and some got way more than they should, with that being said, I’d like to see dormammu versus arishem. One destroys entire universes with little effort and one creates them with little effort. Both of them transcend time (and probably space).

You forgot the living tribunal. We only see him for a moment but his appearance at least reaffirms he is a part of the MCU and I think he is only outmatched by the one above all. So idk how powerful this god of stories loki is but I would assume LT is above him

I can't agree with this list, especially the further down the line u went. U listed Ultron above Alioth, u stated Eternity's known history from Marvel comics and conflated it with the MCU, putting him ahead of multiversal threats when he is a single universe and there are others u had out of order. U are usually spot on or close to but this time, way out of order. And Loki being #1 just doesn't speak to his actual power, more just his holding and keeping the timelines stable. Thor (and others) could have done the same thing if they were willing to sacrifice themselves and sit on a lonely throne like he did.
