    After testing it for quite a while, I bought a FB of Ylang Ylang Espresso and I love it. One of my most worn scents - year round. I especially love it in the morning when I’m having my coffee. (I know that might sound crazy 😳) This was a terrific video; seems like there is not a lot out there on this house. I’ve got travel sizes of several of the others. Thank you Claire!

      @dr.claire.perfume  Год назад +1

      You're right Jill, I don't think anyone else reviewed all of these fragrances, only a few of them probably because the sample sets are so random in not containing all of the fragrances 😂 I really like several of these perfumes and if I didn't have others with overlapping scent profiles, I'd probably buy a few more. 😊 Happy Easter 🐣 and thanks for watching ❤️

    I wanted to love Arizona Bloom. I can see how people enjoy it, but it seemed so light to me and the coconut seemed to fade too quickly. Wonderland Peony - yes! Such a fun one. I agree with you!

    • @dr.claire.perfume

      Yes, Wonderland peony smells happy 😊 Arizona bloom was a very different kind of coconut fragrance to me, not overwhelming in the slightest, but not for me. Happy Easter 🐣

    I can’t believe we have the same top 5 from the brand. I absolutely love Ylang Ylang Espresso and feel so sexy and vampy when I wear it. I have tried a lot of fragrances in my days and it is one of a kind.

      I agree! I know you enjoy Ultraviolet as I do. It is such a sensual wear. I sampled Loverdose after I heard you speak about it. If I recall correctly you mentioned you have bad memories connected to it but I figure you would not keep it if you didn’t enjoy the smell. After sampling Loverdose I purchased a bottle. I love licorice/ anise in fragrances.

    thanks for this. i am really bummed by their sample packs ;) so far i've only tried a few but the only one i've liked is ylang ylang espresso. i really want to try iris goddess the most but it didn't come in my sample pack. i am holding off trying the heavier scents for cooler weather but think chypre sublime may be a winner, and now thanks to this i think that black lotus may be too. neon rose smelled like shampoo on me, so not a fan. peony wonderland was not good, but i don't like peony...and i mostly got a woody fig from arizona bloom. it smelled very modern to me, and not my style but one of the better ones i tried.

    • @dr.claire.perfume
      @dr.claire.perfume  Год назад +1

      Thank you ❤️ it was interesting actually, I had one old sample set from when they only had 8 fragrances and the lighter sample set from now plus a separate sample for the sunflower Pop fragrance. I noticed a bit of a difference where I had overlaps, so for example, wonderland peony I had two samples of, the older one actually smelt better, it made me wonder whether it had been reformulated. I also noticed that their lighter style fragrances just were not as good, they had added what I think might have been ambroxan to make them stick around and it made them have an undertone that I really wasn't sure about. I would for sure recommend sticking to the heavier side with these, although that is also probably my personal preference too! I didn't try the new almond blossom fragrance yet, but I will if I go in-store. Did you try that one? Thanks for watching 🥰

    • @anaistwin
      @anaistwin Год назад +1

    I’ve sniffed this line in John Lewis and the only one I was mad for was Sunflower Pop! That opening is literally the smell of sunshine in a bottle! But I agree that the dry-down is a letdown. I lost the Bellini on my skin before I even got on the tube… so I reckon it was gone in 20 minutes! My memory of wonderland peony was that it wasn’t very original and was way sweeter than I’d expected (from the reviews I’d watched!) but I suspect I’d enjoy that one just for it’s girly prettiness nowadays. I’m still not sure if most of the line is worth the price-point though?!

    • @dr.claire.perfume
      @dr.claire.perfume  Год назад

      Hi Cassandra, I think Wonderland Peony has been reformulated and made sweeter. I have an older and newer sample, made 3 years apart and I notice that there is a difference. Hi Claire! I used two bottles of my favourite, Neon Rose, which I found intoxicating. Unfortunately, it was not long* lasting, and in both I had to manage broken, dysfunctional atomizers. Hello Claire,
    I am enjoying your house reviews!
    I haven't tested any Floral Street fragrances. I did see tester bottles in Sephora last year, but they may have disappeared the last time I was in.🤔 It seems things come and go from their shelves. It was the only place I knew that had stocked this brand.
    It was interesting learning about the brand. I think yours is the most comprehensive review I have seen. Otherwise it's only been the odd single fragrance here and there.
    Have a good Easter weekend! 🐥🐣🥚🐰
    Take care!
    💛~ Jenn

      Hi Jenn! Thank you! I didn't realise Floral Street had gone from Sephora in store... Here these fragrances used to be stocked in a department store but they disappeared a few years ago to a very upmarket wellbeing shop. As a brand, I think that was a backwards move. They do seem to have a lot of candles out now and they do seem to be concentrating on those a bit.
      I think I'm the only person to review all 11 fragrances so far for floral street. They were amongst the first niche brands that I every tried I think.

    The second one, a well it sounds OK, peony tends to go shampoo on me. The things it's compared too ring massive alarm bells on me 🤣.
    Electric rhubarb 🤔 salty too? Probably not one for me. Unique is a good thing though.
    The neon rose? Perhaps again wouldn't be my fave.
    More salt? 🤣 With coconut I guess musky coconut would be nice
    Fruit cocktail and florals sounded nice until the A word 😂
    Wild vanilla Orchid sounds nice actually. Dark fruitiness is good
    Iris and violet? 😜 Well I like the sound of this one. I'm a cool girl I think I could enjoy it 🙂
    Leathery rose nice but geranium maybe not. The smokiness with a touch of violet, it could be a maybe rose.
    Black smooth leather sounds nice the notes seem a little Black Perfecto
    Ylang-ylang u know I need to sniff it, does sound pleasant indeed
    Now then, I've tried one from them and know I liked it, so long ago I can't remember but I suspect a darker one.

    Yet another line I've not gotten around to trying, though I expect that I would probably be more drawn to Black Lotus and Ylang Ylang Espresso. But watching this time, I was more aware than usual how you are careful to be very even-handed, indicating your personal reactions to some scents that may not affect other people in the same way. I had just been watching a video where the person was panning several well-liked perfumes and advising people to avoid them. This was based solely on certain notes that affected her in a negative way. Very faulty reasoning, not to mention egotistical.

      I agree, from what I know of you, I think you'd like the darker ones 😊
      Thanks! I do try to be both neutral and express my own thoughts on whether I enjoy stuff or not. I know my taste is not all and the scent notes that trigger someone are very much down to personal experiences sometimes. Apple, apple blossom and powdery peach are things I struggle with but I know many people love those notes 😊
