The second flight was also awesome! That landing looked so slow by the cameras point of view. But speed was by telemetry still good. As I´m a beginner on EDFs I´ll stay tuned on your channel to learn more :D Cheers and best regards from a half chilean half german from Bavaria Francisco
My first EDF that is about to be maidened is a FMS Avanti V1. That´s the way I came to your channel a couple of weeks ago. I have ordered the better 1900KV 70mm EDF from FMS since the original has only about 1,6 kg thrust installed, the plane weighting 1,89kg. And our runway is no of such gentle grass as yours. We have a lot of "kretowiska" mountains xD
Cheers from Arizona USA, I don't even fixed fly wings but watching your jets is great. Love you telemetry voice prompts, I fly fpv quadcopters and would love to have voice information like that.
Glad I found your site! I agree 100% with the last comment...I just love what you're doing in this hobby. It so refreshing to not just throw in the biggest, heaviest most expensive high power setups without actually thinking about what's happening with your aircraft. Well done!
Sorry I am a very late subscriber but I just picked up the hobby one year ago. I have advanced quite fast and love your non stock set up. Let alone how you are making your own batteries. I wish you had new content but your old stuff is all still new to me. I am very interested in lots more you have to share. As well if you still have a drawer full of stuff like edfs and ESC I would be interested in purchasing some. Not rich but happy and love going fast. Hopefully you are well and same to your family. Commenting from Vancouver Island British Columbia Canada.
Amazing sound and scale flight! The viper looks so light and easy to flight though. The landing with that turn was cool too. It´s amazing what you can do what those LiIon cells. In parallel and carefully flying like you under 70A or under 35A per cell it still has enough speed and joy :)
For an Ampace JP40 can handle 72A per cell continuously. He will be fine. Even you can do the same with the EVE40PL cell will be peace of cake without overheating.
@@DIY500AMP Hey, cool channel you have! In the meantime I have practiced soldering of LiIon cells with fake Aliexpress 40t. I have now a bunch of Molicel p45B to build som 6S2P or 7S2P for my bigger 80mm and 90mm edf jets. Also waiting for the Molicel P50Bs. On RC Groups and Deadstickducks YT channel I read about those JP40. Have only seen them on Alibaba. You have already great experiences with them?
Hey Wojtek , that fire was not good , but , you know how far you can go now ;-) its nice to see that this airplane can fly with only 8000mAh ... its nice how it fly's ... keep up this good work Wojtek ...
Excellent video! The Midi Evo 100 sounds so good like a turbine almost. This is the kind of setup I like, as light as possible with lots of thrust. Scale flying is the best!
Love it keep doing what you do, and to hell with what everyone else says. This is a part of the hobby that I enjoy the most pushing the envelope and seeing what you can get out of a drive and out of the plane. Cheers my friend.👍
Very interesting video, look forward to your next ‘Tech Talk’ video, maybe you can show the 160mm fan being printed! Maybe buy a fire extinguisher for use at the field.....just in case! Great flying skill too, keep the video’s coming 👍🏻😎
Hi Wojtek, thx for your nice videos. I fly this Jet as well with Jetfan 120 Pro on 12S/7000. Flies super nice 😉. I also fly the smaler Taft Hobby Viper without retracts for hand lounching with 70mm EDF on 6S. Only 2,2Kg weight with over 2,4Kg thrust; flies very nice too! Looking forward to your next videos - thx, Peter
Thanks again for sharing this information. You have already flown for a while with those LiIons, what’s your “long” experience with them pushing 2x the rated current? Is the internal resistance going up? Do you feel like they are weakening? To this day I only fly a quadcopter on those Samsung’s 4S 4000mAh but pulling only about 20A. My EDF stuff still on Lipos.
I dont think he is using 75A drainrate per cell. its 75 per pack, which is 3s (2 of them made the 6s setup), if i am not mistaking. so each "Cell" is giving more like 25A.
Each cell loading is sometimes up to 100A. But normaly I try not to exceed 60A from a single cell. So 6s battery gives me under max load 17,4V 100A= 1740W. But my tipical aplication is 18V 60A= 1080W After 1 year of flying and hundreds of flights sitll holding strong. I think lifespan is probably more then 5x the LIPo
@@EDFjetRC Good to hear. I'm moving from a flat to a house next month, to date I've donde only 3 pack and my biggest concern is fire while making de packs. Finally I can build those cells in a garden not worrying about burning my house. I've a big respect for this kind of DIY application but surely i will try more "flying objects" than my quad soon and hopefully also my 8S FlexJet Pro :-)
Nice video Wojchiech :-) That fire must have been scary. To be honest I loved the 14S ("it's perfect") incarnation of the Viper better (that was spectacular) than this one but still amazing that it flies this well on just 2.5 kW. That's just a tiny bit more than a stock Freewing Avanti.
Yes I would love a smaller jet 🛩 like a second jet I’m just learning on the smaller ones like pfoam rebel getting pretty good Maybe you can recommend something for my budget loving the Hobby having a lot of fun for an older guy hey there’s a lot to learn though 👍❤️✌️🇺🇸
besides you are making your own inlet rings (for the fan), do you use thrust tubes? How thick is the material and does it go all the way to the rear or comes little short?
Have you ever tried Vapcell 21700 30A ? It's hard to get Samsung 40T here. I normally use 18650 for my plane after watching you, I'd like to try 21700.
Great video and very nice jet. If this runs on 6s does that mean you can use a single lipo 6s battery or would it be too heavy. Also running it on this setup can you use a 6 channel transmitter
Would it fly on a 4s lipo? Something like a Gens Ace 6750mah 4s weighs only 615g. You could push the take off weight down below 6kg. That would be amazing, a huge model flying on 4s
The point of the hobby is exactly trying things until you perfect it. Atleast I think its a view on the hobby some people share like you and I. Good video! Concerning the "extra" items you have on what email can I contact you? Thanks!

Nice and realistic flight. Do you still use XT60 leads (14 AWG) on your Li Ion packs ?
always 12awg & xt60

0.5mm transparent plastic, pcv, I think :)

6s 5000 will be ok and 6 chanel transmiter will be ok too.
Even the birds liked it
I'd love to have one of your setups for my foamy 70mm Rebel on 4 s.... lacking room for battery lipo and flight time 4 mins.
Help lol
you need to experiment
