Jim: how much ppf you want?
Urus owner: YES
Little tip for getting the edges down quicker without waiting on them drying out is to use a steamer. We have a little Karcher sc3. Certainly speeds up getting the edges down without the wait times.
PPF installation is incredibly difficult but ever-so satisfying when done correctly. The finished product (here) tells the tale - a fantastic job!
Awesome! A new video from WD!
If anyone has the patience and perfection needed for this, then it’s in good hands Jim👍
Wow, absolutely stunning, love the colour.
Fiddly Bits Everywhere! - Jim, great work as always. Super impressive that you actually have the bandwidth to pick up another skill set to offer your clients. You make it look easy and as always, your attention to detail is peerless. Thanks for posting!
Awesome Jim, a true perfectionist and top tradesman
Jim you've knocked it out of the park again 100% awesome 👌 just keep it up . I for one love watching your videos , pure jinisus 👍
It was a pleasure to watch. More PPF videos are more than welcome. Cheers.
That’s absolutely awesome work Jim❤
Great work, I love your setup.
Beautiful
Absolutely beautiful work mate.
Excellent work as usual.
PPF seems like more of a chore compared to correction. It's much more interesting to watch someone with this level of skill change paint from dull and scratched to something beautiful. This is more just watching a product being installed.
I agree, I find it more satisfying to watch a car being detailed. I know someone who's got one of these, the engine sounds awesome.
@Edward Grist Yeah, it's difficult to make wrapping a car interesting. If you've seen it once, you've seen everything. I'm not sure what happened to white details. Seems he's gone away. Sucks. This has been the most interesting and educational detailing channel I've found. Its fun watching someone who truly mastered a skill work. I've learned so much here.
Hopefully he comes back at some point.
Your work is just astonishing
Simply awesome Jim, good on you mate for adding this to your already band of skills, also good for you to learn something new and get brilliant at it, as I know you will. Inspirational Jim cheers mate. 😎👍
Respect to your level of patience and for putting yourself out there on the internet for criticism! Looks like an amazing job well done from here! 👍
Brilliant job on such an intricate vehicle Jim.
amazing work!
Pure Artist, the level of patients you have is unbelievable.
Hats off!
Amazing work that Jim! Watching you lay that PPF film was SO satisfying. Brilliant video as always mate! I look forward to see more of this content from you! 😎🤙🏼
And again Jim, incredible Work! 👌🏼
Simply the best!
Better than all the rest!
Impressive job and video congrats!
Great Job!!!
Watched loads off these videos they actually chill me out lol 😆 thanks jim
It look fantastic
Jump into the deep end is an understatement Jim. Bloody hell, what an awkward car for your first full PPF Job.
Fantastic looking work 👌🤙
Stunning work Jim, you have the patience of a saint.
Brilliant as always. With time it will speed up but I’m sure the quality will just improve. Great job Jim. Well done 👍🏻
You are a professional work bomba🚀🚀🚀
Love the detail bru and that color is amazing.
Fantastic attention to detail as ever mate 👍
Great insight to PPF and great headphones 👍
Jesus, you have the patience of a saint… an excellent prefect job as always!
Lovely job, Mini in background looks fabulous 👍👌
You alone doing all the hard work, sheeeesh
Brilliant job Jim 👌🏻🤩👍🏻
Of all the cars to pop your 'whole car' cherry on 🤦♂️, but never doubted the effort, attention to detail and professionalism you continue to show on every job you do. Fantastic as always Jim.👍💯
GREAT WORK AGAIN JIM 👍👍STUNNING LOOKING CAR ❤️❤️SOUNDS FANTASTIC 😀😀👍👍
Hello, I just wanted to say that you are the best detailer I have ever seen. Greetings from Poland! 💪🙂
Wow Jim, what a lovely car, I don't know anything about PPF apart from it protects the car paint work, but they looked to be loads of small bits and some big bits, the look of consentration on your face tell a story with the small intricate bits. The wheels and tire are massive, What a lovely job after it's completed. Fantastic keep up the great work.
Jim, you are the Mozart of detailing.
I can not wait
Great Job!! You are doing really well. I have seen a lot of PPF work and you are far ahead of the early PPF installer. It is as I am sure you are realizing an art form. You have the right attitude and work ethic. Wish I could have you do my work. I am in Maine USA bit of a trip to get to your shop.
Impresionante 👏👏👏👏👏
Of course Jim becomes one of the world’s best PPF installers after 3 days training. You sick genius..
does anyone knows what software for cutting ppf frames he uses ?
Not a car I like, but, what a great job and what a great result! Brilliant
Thought of having my A Class covered with PPF excites me lol..Nice Job!
Outstanding job there Jim, and without doubt probably the single most difficult car you will ever do, just due to the sheer size and angles involved.
I'm not a PPF installer myself, but I know one. I do know he wears a full Tyvek bodysuit when he's doing it, to eliminate any possibility of hairs and lint.
Let me grab the popcorn! 🎉
Great video and not the easiest car to do your first full PPF job.
Well done Jim. Another excellent job and has you said you picked a difficult car to wrap for your first. Keep pushing your business forward.
Incrível, parabéns!!!!
Loved the video ! I feel you on the camera drop ... happened to me also mid detailing ,but mine was completely busted 😅
is good man!!😮😊
Hola, Muy Buen Trabajo, Muy Bonito, Muy Limpio, Felicidades y Saludos desde Mexico
Best of luck bud
I wish a had a awesome car. If I did Jim, I would fly you Australia to do any work on it.
Hopefully my dream comes soon.
Awesome work!
Mr White bringing the same level of intensity and focus to PPF than he does to Concours level detailing . Somehow I knew you’d “Excel” at it(pun intended)
Looks good to me! Great work. Get some sleep; you look BEAT!
Sunday is getting better with this Urus full Detail and PPF by WD
Sorry to hear about the camera lens situation Jim. I will be curious to hear your insights/challenges with using PPF as a solo detailer and content creator in future episodes.
Three things:
1) want to see you do a full paint correction and ppf...that would be therapeutic
2) I've started using wine glass cleaning/polishing microfiber towels for glass because they leave less or no lint
3)why heat gun instead of steam?
Your work is amazing
Superbly done Jim! That looks like it was quite labor intensive. You’ve got to have a name for a full PPF job. The White Detail 2? LOL. Take care Jim.
Hi Bryan - thank you once again! Very pleased with the install - here's to many more! Cheers
Amazing work as always, although not keen on stripey carpets.
Someone mentioned steam but we like boiling water in a spray bottle. Flushes the slip solution out of the edge work in a hurry. Also helps to soften the film for concave areas.
Not really a fan of SUV Exotic types...but damn nice job, Jim! Looks great!
Hideous car nice PPF job 👍🏻
Good thing you don't own it then.
@@ilikechickensausages2075 i wouldn’t want to own it, it’s a hideous POS
@@maverick4177 Good thing you don't own it then
Идеально.
I like, I'm ppf intaller
Utilize a Steamer! Especially on the edges. Otherwise, awesome install and video man!!
Last upload over 2,5 months ago... 🙃 I need my dose of WhiteDetails
Perhaps already asked here but wondering how you navigated around the badging..? And how does the PPF hold up within the tailpipe surround, door handles...? Incredibly exacting work..and beautiful.!
I’m NOT a ppf installer however…I do know a lot about improving processes. Have you thought about purchasing a large whiteboard for the wall and then you can do the weaving whilst stood up to save your back. The excess liquid will also run down to the floor instead of squeegee it off. Just a thought. Great content by the way.
Hello from Australia 🙃
If I could add my 2 cents too this it would be too save you back and knees with one of those wheel roller rigs to get the wheel to a higher work level.
Just saying 💯
This is great!!!BUT I want to konw What did you spray on the wheels and brakes?
Looks amazing!
Jim, wouldn’t be easier and more efficient to ceramic coat a few parts like tail lights and grills?!
To make huge income , make research about
smith trust bk
Just an ordinary day at the office then 😂
Great work there Jim and a ballsy first full car 😅 How are the XM5’s? I have the 2’s and they could do with being replaced
Oh and nearly always bulk a bonnet. The patterns are always awful and forcing fingers down with ipa will distort the glue - much more evident on darker paint finishes. Otherwise, looked great! Lots of tricky gloss black bits on Urus
Well Jim talk about diving in the deep end. If you can do a great job on a £180000 Lamborghini (no pressure there then) Everything else that comes your way should be a little bit easier🤞
As always good job Well done
Everyone else: I’m new to PPF, I’ll go easy and work my up to the intricate cars.
Jim: Hold my beer…
Great job 👏🏼
Love your channel. I would much rather do paint correction and maintenance then to put this crap on my car. Never again. I just went through a nightmare trying to remove it
You either used a poor quality film, or you didn't remove it correctly.
Jim your work is always top notch. Don't worry about speed, that comes with time
my dream car. well...maybe not as an all the time dream car, but just as a phase. my dream car would be an AM Virage/ later DB9
A great job done there, Jim. I'm sure you will pick up all the tricks and techniques and get quicker installing the ppf over time. The main thing is you and the customer are happy with the installation that's what counts. Sorry, the tripod took a dive and broke the lens on the camera. Keep up the fantastic work 👏 👌
So where do I find what the song is that’s playing during the first wash clips?
Was the delivery state of the paint all perfect, so no correction required prior to PPF? No swirls, sanding marks, etc?
Time for a wheel stand Jim
What polishes and compounds that we have in USA are comparable to the cartech you use? Are you using the 12000
Great job Jim. This takes significant SKILL. I know, I have tried it and failed miserably myself. I didn't see any ceramic protection on the outside of the wrap. Do you not do that over there? Client didn't want it?
The film he uses along with many other brands have a built in hydrophobia top layer, meaning ceramic isn't really needed
I’ve never seen anyone not use the felt tips on the squeegees. May help keeping from the scratching.
Even if it does scratch, it's self healing.
Try to get a hummer h2 for full body ppf. No patterns and it will make you a master
Jim - interesting to hear your comments about clothing/body contamination during the process. Would the wearing of a lightweight clinical/forensic ‘’onesie’ be an option. They are disposable and cheap enough. (Good) car painters often wear them..just a thought..
hello could you pls share what machine and software you are using to pre cut your ppf
I still can't get over the days when the actual clear coat was strong enough where you didn't need ppf BS. Nothing against ppf but why isn't anyone complaining about shitty paint that's coming from the factory across all manufacturers?
Hi Jim. Nothing on your website yet about PPF or the pricing. Will this be updated ?. Thanks.
is it ok to use that machine in cutting body wraps?? asking for a friend
was windscreen also covered?
Illegal to do in the UK i think
